This man was the man who brought back the soul of New Orleans. And now he’s receiving a gold medal? This man is amazing. From a blocked punt that brought back the saints, to a gold medal. God bless you man.
Not being a US citizen, I really don’t know who Steve Gleason is, but he seems like a man of extraordinary courage and strength. It can’t be easy to find a reason to carry on living when the very body you inhabit is a literal prison.
Well basically Steve Gleason was an NFL player who is most famous for one of the most important plays in the rebirth of the New Orleans Saints (An American Football Team) which had just recovered from the devastating hurricane Katrina. He was later diagnosed with ALS. He's recognized for the medal, because despite the hardships he's incurred in living through such awful circumstances, he's done so much for his community and for many other people. Instead of accepting his disease as something awful, he's used it to bring hope to those living through adversity. He truly is a courageous and strong man who definitely deserves this honor.
I am nothing but a 51 year old husband and father of a teenage daughter. I'm a football fan not a Saints fan but Steve Gleason is my HERO. I have watched everything about his career and illness. He is a tireless and selfless fighter and I am so beyond happy for him and his amazing family. God Bless them all! You should be proud!
Half an hour ago I didn’t know this man existed. A different video was in my recommended so I thought I’d watch and I’m glad I did. His strength, courage, tenacity and determination is truly humbling. It puts your life into perspective and makes you realise that family is truly a blessing.
ALS is a horrid, terrible disease. My grandmother died from it. Steve has so much ahead of him but he still won’t let this disease stop him. He is truly my inspiration.
I just watched your documentary. God bless your family, especially your wife for allowing us to see the vulnerable side of you. Please feel free to put in your name to be a Saint, I’ll back you on that!! Keep the faith and thank you again for the documentary. ❤️❤️❤️
Steve Gleason was an NFL player who was diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). He's recognized for the medal, because despite the hardships he's incurred in living through such awful circumstances, he's done so much for his community and for many other people. Instead of accepting his disease as something awful, he's used it to bring hope to those living through adversity. Truly, he is an extraordinary human being.
You may want to do what I just did and go through and report EVERY SINGLE ONE of the heartless comments/people that are bringing politics and their hateful comments into something that should be a day to celebrate and come together. Let’s all put a side our political feelings (even just for today 😊) and be happy that Steve Gleason and his team are getting much deserved appreciation and recognition.🇺🇸 ⚜️🇺🇸⚜️🇺🇸
Don't you have homework or chores to do? On this feed trolling with a total lack of respect to the subject. Have you even a clue what his family goes thru daily?! Disappear please.
