Steve was broke, when he became successful, she got a front seat ticket to one of his shows, and she became his mistress until Steve left his wife, who had financially took care of him while he pursued his dream.

I don't believe for a second he just drove away from that woman because he was poor and had nothing to offer her. Thats not close to being believable. Steve Harvey is right in saying that men shouldn't ask women what they bring to the table... if we were in the year 1913. The fact is, now women make just as much money as men, have no fault divorces want 50/50 partnership and are nowhere near as feminine as their grandmothers. Just having the ability to deliver a child is the bare minimum and that isn't going to cut it. The problem is that its not only that they don't know men want, they simply don't care. This is why so many women are perpetually single. Men are allowed to have standards and preferences and shouldn't feel pressured into taking a bad deal. And nor should women, it goes both ways.
You get the energy you put out. If you look for women in terrible places you'll get terrible women. And furthermore if you're negative and difficult. Most women will follow your lead

Did you listen? Both happened. He was in Vegas gambling and talked to her before going to Memphis. They met and talked some more. Then on new years when Marjory was on vacation with her kids, they talked again all night.
