Same! I didn't realize how much I enjoyed cooking until I got into my 30s. I met a man who has a daughter and, after a few years, he got sole custody of her. (Her mother and step-father were doing some pretty bad things to her and honestly should have ended up in jail.) So I went from no kids to being a stepmother. Even though she's grown now (21), when she comes back to visit, she asks what I'm going to cook. 😂
