I lost my Mother twenty years ago. You never get over it. Never. I'm sure Steve's mother was proud of him before she passed and proud of him on the other side. I hope mine is too.

This is a true testament of how you learn to be a man. She once told me "Jason I am a woman I don't know how to be a man. I can only tell you what I hope your father could to be a man. Your heart is your greatest strength. You think it makes you weak. But as a woman I tell you that one day you will find a woman who appreciates your heart like I do".. Like Steve everyday I hope my mother is proud of me and I try everyday to be the man she saw in me. I love that steve was the truest man in this moment and much respect to you Steve Harvey.
I will be the first to say I'm by far not a S.H. Fan but I will say I felt his raw emotion for his mother. You can tell she was his heart and the fact it's his momma of course you'll get emotional. Respect Steve.

That made me cry. I know how hard it is to loss a parent. In April it was a year that I lost my dad to cancer and in November I almost lost my Mom to a stroke. But thank the good Lord she's still with us.
Every person who disliked this video can go to hell because it is god damn disrespectful to dislike a video where a man talks about his mother and how much he misses loves his mother. All those people should be ashamed of your self and keep your ugly mind and disrespectfulness to your self! Don't try to dim someone else light.
This is absolutely amazing. I'm a man, and I could NEVER speak about my mother on such a public forum...because I love her so much. We've been through a lot, and I definitely have had ups and many more downs. I almost pray that she outlives me because I don't know how I'd live without her.

I'm just watching this video and it's HEART BREAKING, BECAUSE I LOST MY MOM. AND I FEEL THE SAME WAY AS STEVE DOES. IF YOU LOSE YOUR MOM AND YOUR CLOSE TO HER YOU'LL FEEL THE SAME WAY. THERE'S NO WAY SHE WON'T COME ACROSS YOUR MIND WHEN YOU REMEMBER SOMETHING YOU DID WITH HER.
I feel ya Steve. August 30th will be 5 years since I lost my mother, and I am beyond thankful for all the lessons she taught me. It blows my mind how just the simple things in life remind me of her. No one will be able to relate until they lose their mother. God bless you Steve.
"I was trying." When a man can face himself and admit his flaws while handing it up to his higher power he has done his Mother and "The Father" proud. All we can be is ourselves, our faults, our stumbles, our transgression, but if we can also be an admission of guilt having fallen short of God's mark while constantly seeking to be better, then we've done what is required. Continue the journey, Steve, as you continue to be obedient. Mom is for sure proud my brother.

Awww it's good to see his mother did a great job raising her family and how much he loved her. My "mother" died 6 weeks ago, i have not shed one tear. Not all women make good or even average mothers !

Steve, I know how you feel. I too lost my MOM 16 years ago and it's tough. Especially on her birthday, Mother's Day and Christmas. I was crying right along with you. The young men at my church would sing the theme song from the movie "Soul Food" for Mother's Day and I could not take it. I can't even watch that movie because that lady played out my Mother in that movie. Steve hang on in there we are gonna be alright!
I tell you this got me in tears I tell ya if you lose a mom it is the most terrible thing in the world I feel like if I lost my mom I don't know what I would do if she is gone she has done so much for me I know that is not perfect but I thank god for her for being in my life because she is truly the mother of my life until the day I die!

Steve every time i watch this i just go right into tears. It's an blessing to see an awesome man like you cry and i say this cause most men say the to "fly" to cry. but i would like to thank god for you cause without you i wouldn't know what a real mane was or what is was like to see a real man to cry. Steve, I remember hearing Donnie McClurkin prophesying over you before you left Los Angeles. Then all of a sudden, door after door opened up for you. You are indeed walking in the will and purpose that God has for you. You have indeed made your parents proud and The Lord s pleased as well.
