she cheated on him for a long time. and he slept with one other person after they broke up. how can she get mad about that. she has already moved on. That the new person in her life dumped her. i loved that she got dumped becouse she always mistreat steve and only care about herself.
Breakups are never fun. Brings out the worst in most. So i cut both of them slack. He said some very hurtful things himself earlier. It's just better to leave before it get's to that point. I don't judge either party here.
course she is. come on, hows she not gonna be able to look like the victim to everyone she tells. im sure she will leave out all shes done in her pity story
I feel like this reaction is so realistic for people who cheat. She left for someone else thinking that everything was new, exciting, and she was going to have this great new life with her new partner. Now she's learned that the grass isn't always greener and if Steve is dating other women she doesn't have a fallback.
I hate her. But you have a good point. I have been called a whore for kissing a man whilst I was single and free to date, by a man who cheated and left. This is a pretty accurate reaction.
I don't think people should have fallbacks. However, I personally never understood their relationship since the first movie when Steve cheated and broke the relationship. It's never the same after that. He constantly bombarded her to forgive him all while she wasn't seeing anyone else. Now it's the other way around and his response is vastly different to cheating. If they agreed to separate or whatever, as is being portrayed, they at the very least divorce and then move on with other people. This relationship was doomed from the start since that's not what they wanted anyway.
@@m.q.7149 I disagree in the first movie Steve and Miranda went to therapy and it took time for Miranda to forgive him. I felt Steve had earned forgiveness. In AjLt Miranda did it without remorse without caring about Steve feelings at all making what she said about Steve cheating look hypocritical
Miranda is so wrong here....she went out and did exactly what SHE wanted to do...then gets pissed at Steve when he did the same thing. EVERYONE has needs, but according to Miranda, only her needs are what is important. She's so cold blooded!
Miranda has always been like this since season one. The core of her character is that she is a control freak. This is how a control freak would react. She's a character, and she's human, and humans are imperfect. I don't think the viewer is supposed to be on Miranda's side here lol.
Hold on. She left him for someone else. She torpedoed her own marriage. She moved on, got dumped. And because he decided to move one now she's mad? Total hypocrisy
Wait...she left him for someone else, came back because she got thrown out. He's doing her a favor by letting her stay ....AND SHE'S MAD because he moved on when SHE LEFT HIM? There's no coming back to a heterosexual relationship after declaring yourself gay. So why shouldn't he move on?
@@luckydevil1601 Then pay him for his services in rehabbing the entire house....she paid for it and supplies, she needs to pay labor Also, she abandoned the marital home with a minor .... depending on spousal property laws, he may be entitled to a hefty amount of the overall value of the home...he needs a good lawyer.... maybe Harry. He did a fantastic job for Charlotte, despite her pre-nup.
I wouldn’t blame entirely to the writer, coz miss Nixon who play Miranda is a lesbian in real life, and also serve as exec producer on the show, so it’s not surprising she demand her character turn lesbian to suit her personal “LGBT + empowering women😂” agenda.
Honestly this moment was so Miranda tho , we can’t be mad because ofc this would be how she acted. Honestly the fight with Steve and then this after moment was probably my favorite out of this season so far, it was so real and both of them are insanely great actors, Steve was so perfect.
I don't judge either of them here. It had been an unhappy relationship for years obviously and just were never a good fit. They would have never gotten married without Brady. Hardly the first relationship like that. That's life sometimes. Breakups are never fun for either party.
it did turn unhappy but tbh i dont think ive seen miranda happier than when she was in a good place with steve.. from where they ended in the 1st movie to where they were in the 2nd movie... it was crazy different. miranda and steve i think were soulmates. miranda and him wont find love like that again@@johniii8147
Miranda is ridiculous. I think she would rather see Steve be alone, miserable and pining for her instead of getting on with his life with someone else. She’s angry because he’s actually doing something for himself and moving forward.
How does she have the damn nerve?!!! Ugh, I never hated any of the four in the original series. I liked a couple more than others but I hated none of them. It’s official. I HATE MIRANDA!!!
He literally cheated on Debbie right after she revealed that she loved him the second that Miranda would take him back, everyone in this show needs to leave their exes alone and move on.
If I understood this right, it's not about him being with another girl, it's that she thought that he didn't move on and she felt guilty about that only to find out that he did move on.
I agree @xii22loop. It kind of interrupted the tone of the well acted scene that we just saw and even the intimate moment that he was having with Miranda.
So Steve was pretending he was so hurt & indignant & how miranda is so awful, but turns out he fd the first girl he could after miranda left...I think it's a perfect scene, it shows exactly who Steve really was. I'm not in the least bit surprised that Miranda ended up with women.
You know now that i think about it Miranda always been a sucker for pain and good for treating the good guys horrible..does anybody remember skipper? Miranda always had a penance for guys that's assholes (that angry lawyer guy that ended up giving her a STD) and she always think after she dumps a guy, she can spin the block..good for steve for moving on! Miranda is insufferable and her friends need to check her about it
Yea, and in the movie, she also HEAVILY ran him thru the wringer, after being a frigid distant closet case (much like the actress herself if memory serves), and he lost it, and took another pony for a spin. Was it wrong? Absolutely. But she herself admitted she was in a "no coloring phase" to the girls, which ALL Of them gave her either the look or the reasoning that maybe SHE was the reason for it happening to begin with. None of her gals thought she was in the right. They just were so all over in their own piles that none of them said what they clearly felt . Althought Samantha, I mean Samantha of all people asked her if it was forgivable. THen MIranda went on this tirade of the "cheating Part". In my mind she NEVER truly forgave Steve, and always had her "secret " within. It just took her a few books, and lots of hypocrisy on her part to do it BACK to him in this series. THen when he moves on, she gets all woe is me AGAIN. IN the first movie, when he finally admitted out of guilt I felt good for him, he deserves a slap. Here to my understanding, she hadn't admitted that Che dinged her Chinese FIngertrap like a freshly done bag of microwave popcorn, and had in fact cheated, and just wanted out. IM glad he finally told her off, and I'm glad she has nothing. NOt even the Che, as it seems. Miranda is a classic example of me me me, and little of anyone else that tries to love her. He was right, she never wanted him or Brady. She just wanted to be a ball busting hag with a penchant for the they thems.
Why does she care who he sleeping with? She cheated on him and left him for another person. I can't stand Miranda, I used to like her. Now I can't stand her, she's so stupid.
I did not see the 2nd season for AJLT. Judging the snippets I've seen on RU-vid, Miranda left Steve to explore her sexuality, right? So why is she angry & dialoging like she is the victim of hurt? I always felt that throughout SATC, Miranda always wanted it both ways and be on the winning side. For me, Miranda remains confused in life, carries heavy baggage, and requires a lot of work. Exhausting! 😤
I don’t blame Steve for moving on but didn’t they have a really heartfelt scene last season when Steve told Carrie that there was never going to be anyone else for him but Miranda and that he was never taking off his wedding ring? Also finding a used condom wrapper on the nightstand right after Steve finally lets out all of his frustration and anger toward Miranda just seemed really off. It kinda makes you forget the raw and justified emotion he just displayed. I can understand moving on especially in circumstances like this but they go back and forth with Steve’s character way too much. * This kind of reminds me of the first sex & the city movie when we feel bad that Miranda isn’t being intimate with him but then they turn around and make him do something sleazy like cheat on her.
He probably said that to Carrie because everything was still very recent, but eventually he realized that moving on was the right thing to do. That does not invalidade his reaction. The fact he had casual sex does not change all the hurt and betrayal, for me at least.
I don't get it why people are going so strong after Miranda hasn't Steve cheated first?!?! I personally always hated their relationship and Miranda became a very obnoxious character... however I would say that as soon as he cheated her he set a disruptive path of lack of respect on the relationship, is not possible to respect and trust a cheater ever again, even when people seems to "forgive" infidelity everything changes after, the respect is gone, and as far as I remember he was the one who cheated first, so any certain behaviour Miranda have done ever since was set after what he did. I don't believe that there is forgiveness to infidelity but even I think that cheating a cheater is not exatcly so heavily low on a moral compass for people going on defending him and judging her on a different scale
Dont watch this much but didnt Miranda, whilst recieving sex from Che, talk to her son through the bedroom door. Hypicritical! Liked Miranda in SATC but not in this. What annoyed me with her getting with Che is the time in SATC Samantha got with Maria and Miranda, Carrie and Charlotte mocked and laughed at her, saying you cant just change, well hello Miranda! One big apology from them all is due to Samantha, my favorite character.
She's always thought of Steve as someone who's easy going and that she can control. She assumed that if her fling didn't workout Steve would be there happy to get her back, since she's so awesome and all that. She's realizes here that he isn't going to be there so the full weight of what she's done is coming in to focus... but she can't blame herself so she gets snarky about "you enjoy your organically sourced sex" and yet he doesn't care anymore.
Miranda could rarely read her own emotions, much less handle them, nor figure out what men were thinking. She was fair, as long as it didn't cost her anything. If she was fair, she'd give Steve the house by buying her out at 50% of value. This is critical as Brady still lives at home. The other thing is when a spouse abandons the marital home, the rules change unless it's due to abuse.
Are you serious!!! Shes the one who cheated then left Steve. I've always loved Steve, she knew how it felt when he cheated on her but then she turns around and did the exact same thing. Shes a narcissist now. Can't believe I'd see the day when everything she does makes me cringe.
I took it more she was mad he had already moved on, so it took the guilt off her. She probably wishes she found out sooner he was sleeping with someone else to feel better that he had moved on.
Sure she was mad, but it wasn't a relief that took guilt off her. She thought she was doing him a favor by being nice to him (thinking that he was victimized by her shit decision so she did all the chores from her own guilt), then found out he didn't view things the same way. So she was embarrased that she misread him, angry that he wasn't actually a victim, angry that she had been doing all that work and it wasn't going to get her anything, and hurt that he had moved on from her. She was treating him the same that she always had in the marriage except that he had moved on from treating her as the number one most important person in his life (which she desparately needed) no matter how she treated him and it completely shocked her. Classic narcissism.
@@scrappymom7881yeah! And also, since when does Miranda cooks and does laundry for her family!!??? Is this another show? In SATC and the 2 movies she had Magda doing all the housework. Steve on the other hand was the one being there for Brady for school projects and stuff. She even said it herself in the movie that “she always miss Brady’s important moment because she always working ( nothing wrong with being a career woman). So I think MPK doesn’t even remember his own stories and the new writer. Samantha Irby clearly never watched SATC.
@@cannellecinnamon5504 that is not how the original series went, Steve pushed her to keep the baby that she didn’t want and then constantly left her to do the majority of the work when Brady was little, Steve was a dad that was there for the fun times but crumbled under pressure. Remember when the girls had a trip planned and Miranda had gotten no breaks and was so happy to have one little trip and then he left the baby with her because “he couldn’t do it” after about an hour? Or when he cheated because she was so busy and tired? She was definitely doing the dirty work at home which is the entire reason they got help because she was becoming resentful.
@@devinxoxo8350she wasn't pleasing her men's sexually needs for 6 months she deserved to get cheated on yu must always think about yor partner first when yor married and being a career women was always gonna damage the marriage there is a reason a study said 75% of housewives cheat on their husbands coz they are busy bringing food for their family and working their ass off but women are selfish coz they want dick inside themselves and divorce their husbands after getting caught cheating and ruin their children's stable parent household and take half of what the men worked so hard for and their house so she can now sleep with the guy she was cheating with on husband in their bed on their house which he built and paid for it himself and still has to pay mortgage while she has unlimited sex everywhere with her new sextoy
@@devinxoxo8350 damn after reading this now I see why husband kill their wives coz women live on easy mode and can do wat they want in life without any consequences
Look at Miranda's reaction after finding out Steve is sleeping with someone, after she told him to move on and that she was leaving him for Che, versus how Steve, while emotionally crushed, handled himself when Miranda dropped the Che bomb on him. One is an adult and one is a pretentious, self absorbed scrub. Go find a good woman Steve. You deserve it.
So my only through-line is the clip before this and this. I'm guessing Miranda warmed up to Steve and found out he's not been chaste? Pulling for them regardless.
? how in the heck could she possibly get mad? i hate this new show. i really have never watched even one episode. not one. this whole show sucks. i loved the old series. this new one is so weird. none of the people are the same ones we all loved.
He cheated because as usual she pushed him away made him feel terrible all the time and it happened once and something he regretted a lot. In that particular case I actually understand he did it because Miranda always treated him like crap.
Its only the cheater's fault, not the one's who's been cheated on ! If you want to f*ck someone, you split with your current partner and go do whatever you wish. But you dont sleep behind your spouse's back. Only dicks do it.
@@itsjemmabond no it was his fault as he chose to do that, she was overwhelmed and overworked with the child that he pushed her to have and when she wasn’t having sex because she was exhausted he cheated and then cheated on the girlfriend he got with after her with her as soon as she was willing to take him back.
I love how Miranda chose the mature response to this. Just accepting that she did all the work whilst Steve was sleeping around. Should I start this war, or move on?
Good for her. Hate smarmy Steve. She told him after that first night that she didn't want to see him anymore. If he wants half the house, she should demand half of the bar.
Half the bar would be a hard sell since it's not a marital asset. Even though her name is on the house, it is a marital asset since he put in money and labor for it's rehab, adding equity to the building. He'd have to buy her out, which will cost him his bar.
