I had this weird dream I was with Steve in North Africa during WWII and he was commanding a regiment of crocodiles.I was an American GI separated from my unit after a plane crash and he rescued me when I was stranded out in the desert. The two of us went and wrecked some German airfields and then had to fight off a Panzer and Stuka attack. It was a tough fight but my boys came to our rescue. None of his crocodile friends were lost and we managed to make it to safety and I only had a slight injury.
I'm jealous of that dream. I love having dreams where I listen to Steve's heartbeat. So comforting. Makes me feel so good. I also love having dreams where I swim with sharks and feed crocodiles.
Well, you should hear about my other dreams with Steve that take me to the forests outside Leningrad, the skies of Cologne, the Jungles of Burma, the bush of New Guinea and even the Mountains of Borneo!@@lillithirwin7907
What makes this good is his hands on approach to everything, he isn't afraid to get dirty to get in the caves to walk in the jungles I only knew Steve Irwin as the crocodile hunter but this side of him makes him missed even more
I love getting dirty too. I'm not squeamish at all. One of my cats killed a mouse, and I dissected the mouse's dead body. It was awesome to see the full anatomy. Biology always fascinated me as a kid. I'd NEVER harm a live animal.
I’ve never seen this before! I’ve seen The Crocodile Hunter and CH: Collision Course when I was little (👍), but I’ve just recently seen his special on the world’s ten deadliest snakes.
my great grandpa was at pearl harbor when the Japanese attacked, my dad told me that his dad said most of the people who survived barely survived. like if you lived through that you barely did
I am so in awe that Steve's interested in WW2. I've been fascinated with WW2 all my teen years. I read stories from the point of view of Holocaust survivors. I drew hammer & sickle, Star Of David, American flag and swastika. My favorite historical figure from then was Anne Frank.
I went to gautacanal when I was 7. And i got to see one of the sunken ships. Back them i didnt know what I was looking at, or the significance of it. But it's pretty cool to know now.
I'm confused: why is the Crocodile Hunter doing a military history program? Not objectionable, actually pretty neat, just kinda out of left field... Also this show doesn't seem to be listed on the IMDB...O_o
I edited all Steve Irwin's John Stainton produced/directed documentaries and I spent a week in the U.S. archives in Maryland researching and locating footage for The Ghosts of War series. Just prior to the premiere of this chapter the attack on The Empire State Buiding occurred and the screening was cancelled. I am extremely proud of my association with Steve and his great mate John Stainton.
I’d like the think the Navy was notified of the remains of the pilot in the plane. You’d think they could locate the registration # and identify him. The family would appreciate it.
+Plowbeast It's really hard to tell but it looks American because of the square wingtips and it looks like it's a flush cockpit rather than a bubble canopy. The wing tips could have eroded away and their could be coral growing on the back of the canopy making it look like it's part of the fuselage so it's anybody's guess really. Both American and Japanese planes had sliding canopies so that doesn't really help.
This is going to be really unpopular, and I used to love Steve Irwin when I was a kid, but his presentation style really doesn't seem very appropriate for a show like this. Sure it's cool seeing him get hands on with all this stuff, but those are graves he's playing with and climbing all over. And 'boom', that's the instant when people died. I really don't like this.
