"It's my fault that he hit that rock" That's why I loved Steve so much. Not only was there never any hard feelings for any animal biting him or whipping him in the face, but he always knew well enough to take the blame for it. A true animal lover and educator, I'm sure all those new conversationalist he inspired would do him proud. Miss you Steve, RIP.
I was watching a video the other day where steve and another zoo keeper were attacked by a gator in the exhibit and the guy said "We were in his home and he was just doing his job to keep us out of there." I loved that response. I'm so sick of seeing animals in captivity put down because they acted on their natural instincts. You're capturing animals from their natural habitat and putting them in an unnatural environment and then getting mad and killing them when they act normally! God it kills me. I love zoos and aquariums because I love animals and they amaze me but at the same time I hate them and wish they were all left to live their lives in the way they were intended too. Another reason I loved steve. He was never capturing them solely for his zoo. His zoo was all rescued animals. :)
Wow. Just came across the part you're commenting about and heard him mention that he doesn't believe in drugging them. He would rather risk his life and jump on top of the croc than to drug it. Amazing. And his son is exactly like him. It's so great to see him growing up like his dad. Hopefully they'll reboot the crocodile hunter.
I do that with my dog. I have a pointy eared bite dog. She's barking right now. She's a beauty and one feisty sheila. Her nose would move really cutely and I'd call it "snoot beats" and pet her. Then she bit my hand. It was so cute. I liked it.
I've never seen a comment section filled with such love, Steve really did bring people together. We lost him too early, there is an entire generation of kids who don't know about the world around them. I'm blessed to have been around for Steve, so from all the kids you inspired and changed, thank you Steve. We honestly and truly miss you.
Its crazy to think that he never uses drugs on his animals unless he knows it's completely safe, that's why he kept on saying he believes in people power, it because crocodiles can't metabolize drugs. He took care of his crocodiles to such a degree it's almost like art!
I think a lot of the world wept along with Australia. Still to this day, I've never heard a bad thing said about Steve Irwin, he was loved and admired globally. His way with animals was absolutely magical.
I've never seen any videos of Steve irwin in my life. Up til now! And this video alone just shows what a happy individual he was. You can clearly see its his passion and not solely his job
Never fails to make me laugh.. I remember i was watching this everytime he was on the TV. I've loved it ever since and i still come by RU-vid to have a giggle.. hehe
A lot of animal experts would be embarrassed at being caught unawares or in a close call but I love that Steve not only learned from but also publicised them and analysed any mistakes he made and takes responsibility for the inevitable dangers of his passion (conservation)
Peta really tried to compare this guy to a circus. Using animals as entertainment. This guy is the equivalence to bill nye, but in the animal kingdom. RIP Steve.
Out of all others who would just taunt the animals or invade their territories with weapons just to get a closer encounter, when it came to Steve Irwin, he cared deeply for these creatures, no matter how dangerous. What made him a wonderful man.
his life is the ultimate guide to nature & wildlife. he taught us that nature is so amazing but you gotta respect it, because even the toughest professionals could get into a whole lot of trouble dealing with it.
"An'd it's a sign of toughness. I'm so tough, stay away from me or I'm gonna bite ya'." Morgan Freeman: "And the tiny lizard DID bite Steve, just as his bristling reptile beard had forewarned."
I’ve never actually grieved a public figure that passed away. Sad for their family and the loss of life of course but with him it still hurts to think he’s gone. What an incredible man💜
No matter how many years it’s been I still never get tired of seeing Steve. If you’re out there Steve we miss you. And thank you for get making our childhoods great and making us love animals
Such a positive and energetic person had such love in his heart. Genuine heart for living creatures. He passed his love for animals down to his children so we can have mini Steve’s teaching another generation of people how to grow and love
i've NEVER cried over celebs/strangers deaths. i would see posts on youtube and think how foolish of someone to waste such a powerful emotion as mourning on someone who has 0 influence on them or the people they love. while i still feel that way, i have to say i was actually very sad when he died. i enjoyed his work and attitude so much that this loss really hurt. kinda felt that for bob ross too.
"Im so tuff"then he gets bit right in the nose You can here he was hurt he made the croc get hurt.. this man is father nature straight up.. rip my man!
Steve will be gone 14 years in September! It feels just like yesterday that I put his video's on for my children to watch! R.I.P.! You are still the greatest!
Aww jeeze i miss you Steve, you use to fascinate me as a little girl.. you've always been a bit suicidal with those animals though! You are missed by everyone.. Xx
I love Steve, His passion and heart he has for all types of animals, I watch still to this day all his old episodes. To me he just still feels alive in my heart. His personality is so kind and friendly. i would of loved to of meet him.
