I love how every Steve vs. Steve game starts off with the two of them mining. It's an unwritten law that in the first five seconds, neither of them are allowed to fight. It's like a real grace period from Minecraft hunger games.
If you think about it you'll realize just how overpowered he is in minecraft too. He has giant arms, can punch through rock, can turn logs into wood planks with his bare hands, never needs to drink water, swims and runs like an Olympic athlete, can carry stacks upon stacks of the heaviest items, and is over 6 feet tall. Of course he's overpowered.
1.) Steve isn't 6 foot (1 block is one metre and he's less that two blocks tall) 2.) He can carry entire universes in his back pocket so uh... yeah, definitely op.
everyone going off on Steve's (Now censored and removed) meat and his combos while i'm still processing the fact this is the game where you can have Steve from Minecraft summon a Rathalos from monster hunter to kill Sans from Undertale and Sora from Kingdom Hearts in the middle of the collective unconscious from Persona 5.
Now that you mention it, even in his reveal trailer Steve never actually got an invitation letter. He just happened to be tunneling in an area right outside the blast zones. He's literally the first DLC character to join the roster of his own accord rather than by invitation XD
Imagine if Dream fought online against a few people. He'd be using steve like he was playing in a Manhunt. Just as it seemed as if the enemy's about to win, he turns the tables with some kind of 1000 IQ plan.
@@reperfan4 Dang I just realized that. Wait, is Steve the first character in smash history who came to the game of his own free will, or is that just me?
The moment I saw this character I thought to myself: "Have you ever played as Robin and thought to yourself: 'Gee, I wish I had more resources to watch after'?"
Well for Steve, 3 are basically functionally identical (Misc, Wood, Stone), it shows you them all at once on the little indicator (except Redstone fsr), and what's used for what is very intuitive. Contrarily for Robin, there are 4/5 meters to keep track of which only show up when you use them, and all the spells have multiple variations, not to mention Robin's moves are much weaker on average than Steve's
I think they'd nerf his edgeguarding game with the blocks and the forward/back air with pickaxe, make it more punishable. Does it have as much range as mario's backair though? But yeah, I think blocks should be destroyed much easier for people to have a better chance to recover. Characters with awful recoveries will do terribly against a good steve. You cannot make a single mistake from what I'm seeing.
Nah, he i'snt broken since he requires time to mine resources and upgrade his weapons. If a fast character is constantly on his ass then he's way less threatening.
Tbh, I took the whole "Steve is gonna be in Smash" thing as a funny joke, nothing really to get mad at nor serious over. It's not someone I wanted on my wish list, but I appreciate him being in Smash, at least. c:
"Steve is bad" is why have steve. If people actually tried to get good with him, instead of writing him off because he was different he wouldn't have gone unnoticed while Nintendo was still patching the game and been nerfed into oblivion.
I once heard it said that Steve is so good at guarding edges because he comes from a world composed entirely of sides and edges. It's his natural environment.
Lol, just two hours ago I was thinking: "Huh, Steve is in Smash, it would be cool if Brent do a "Steve is Bad" Just then, you come with it, I thank you xD
The entire premise with “low tier characters” is that they are bad, but then someone who knows how to play them comes up and the character spikes up a tier or two once people mimic how that guy played, and see it works
4:00 is no one going to talk about how the killing hit is perfectly synced with the music?! I’ve been scrolling forever Edit: Holy crap! Over 300 likes?! Why though?! Thank you! But how!
It feels unfamiliar how all these memes are really new because Brent hasn't done one of these in a long time. Nice job mate. Also I watched napoleon dynamite, when I heard the do it again sfx it was like a fever dream.
