Its too late. Yal are stuck with this clown after resigning him... He's been holding this team hostage for so long with his antics. He wont stop until he gets more taken from him. The league was lenient when you consider his track record...
Well said, couldn’t believe they resigned him😂😂😂😂 needs to retire & become a talking head on ESPN😂😂😂….Draymond a good guy & feels with Love & Passion 😂😂😂😂 choking a person & pulling by the neck from half court to under the basket, shows the world just how much love & passion draymond (the humanitarian) has for the NBA, come on Steve Kerr😂😂😂
If Draymond actually had talent, it might be a different conversation. This warrior's team is on the back of Steph and all these other players on the warrior's team have a job because of Steph, only for Draymond to continuously act like a jack a... Can not be excused anymore. And he thinks he actually has talent because he passes the ball sometimes. He's not a center or a small forward, he's in everyone's way including his own team mates, and the warriors are letting him. Instead of investing in a true center and big man, they keep carrying this fake picolo around in the name of Draymond. I've officially lost interest in warriors, and I honestly think Steph is tired of it all as well. You're not superman Steph, you can't do it night in night out. Stop being a nice guy Steph and force the hand of your organization to bring in a true center or you walk.
I saw this comment at the start of the video and thought it would just be some petty question, but wow, that was truly one of the worst questions I’ve heard a reporter ask in terms of delivery and wording. It wasn’t even rude, just absolutely awful reporting lmao
her use of the word "strategically" indicated explicitly to Dubs fans who watch a lot of post-game interviews that her question stems directly from something Draymond said in explaining one of his over-the-top moments late last season about which he claimed he (&.I may be overstating paraphrasing inexact memory) people just didn't get it that he was in control in those moments & did such things as conscious strategic choices to fire up his teammates intensity. My recollection is he then lost it again a couple games later in a way that very obviously had nothing to do with strategic decisions & everything to do with a loss of control tantrum. The reporter was referencing all that in her question, & trying to do so w/ diplomatically neutral phrasing, which made it a difficult question to state clearly the first time. Given a second chance she got all that in there more clearly. Kerr knew the history, so he got the question's gist once he had it clarified that she was referring to Draymond's actions & not Kerr's comments.
Warriors Organization has "enabled" Draymond and is complicit in his transgressions. If I were the Warriors, I'd give him an additional 5 days' suspension.
I have said it before and I will say it again I am a die-hard warriors fan and if Draymon was playing for any other team I couldn't stand him and I still don't like these types of actions because all these actions caused the team games they need to discipline him more or trade him!!
It's one thing to have dislike for his temperament on the court but to take it to the level of questioning the safety of his family because he has outburst on the court is crazy. You guys act as if he's a criminal with an extensive rap sheet. There's people out in world who are much worse!
@@naelbi8870 Besides his antics of the court , the guy has been in the league for 10+ years without getting arrested or getting into any serious scandal but of course all of that will be swept under the rug because your strong dislike for him. Yes, Dray does take it too far but what he's done is nothing compared what Rodman used to do back in the day with the Pistons and Bulls.
I'd be willing to bet Draymond's team-supported professional "mandatory anger management therapy" began long before today. Some franchises wave that as a PR banner, like Memphis did w/ Ja Morant last year. Warriors style is handle that stuff in-house w/o publicity. Doesn't mean I'd win my bet; just that I'd make the bet becuz that's their style.
Wasn't it the refs job to call a foul when Draymond pushed Mitchell? Don't act like hes the only one that makes a correction to his initial thoughts after some time and more evidence and results garnered.
@@junwong23 Yes, after the basket was scored and the ball was in bounded, we were across the half court so it was definitely two plays after they reviewed it. If thats the case, why not go back to the 2nd quarter and review Draymond's original foul on Niang for over the back when it shows Niang's legs just gave out. If anything, its a no call. Therefore, take back his 1st technical foul for arguing. Thats not even the point I am trying to make, but give me a break. Draymond gets the short stick no matter what point of the season he's in as long as his jersey says Green on the back. Would it be better if Draymond got irrational and went after Niang like what McDaniels did with Klay instead of talking to the ref? How about Draymond getting so fed up with the calls and socks Mitchell in the face for retaliating an original no call. Lastly, I reason I am telling you this is, Kerr defends Draymond and now realized he should also call him out for his misbehaviour, but don't get it twisted, Klay is lucky to have a teammate like Draymond Green at the end of it.
“Draymond respects his teammates” is a sentence no one should ever utter after he sucker punched the young star on the team forcing the team to trade him because it destroyed the team chemistry
Shame on the NBA for not kicking the Green Monster out for the season or life. Draymond is a talentless gangbanger that belongs on the streets not in the NBA. Kerr is just as guilty for not letting the Green monster go after the Poole kill shot.
@@lorddevil863You're acting like you need to choke somebody to win. He would have had 6 rings if he kept his emotions in check. Need I remind you what happened in the Cavs series?
@josephjohnson1057 I just want Draymond Green to come along for the ride on our ride trips. He'll make the best person in shot gun, hes humorous, knowledgable, builds good friendship, alert, makes fun of people we don't like, and talks alot to keep us entertained. But you're right, I wouldn't want him at the wheel for an extended amount of time.
Would love to have asked Kerr why NO Warrior player tried to restrain Green. It was only two T'Wolves and 5 Warriors coaches I think the answer is Jordan Poole. He crossed Green and they traded him to possibly the worst team in the NBA. Warriors players know better.
That is for real a very apt question. I doubt anyone outside the team has the answer, tho'. I notice Kerr was right there trying to restrain Draymond while he dragged Gobert.
Green punched Poole in the pre-season and ruined the chemistry for the entire year. Poole might have otherwise had a great year and NOT been traded. @@karlanthonymargate7362
I agree. He needs to stick to his guns. Draymonds wild but you have to have your players back.... Grow a pair, Steve!!! Dont be afraid of Adam Silver, lol
He don't get credit for this, he sat there after the game when it happened and claimed draymond was protecting him teammate and said rudy choked klay, he's got caught twisting a lie and now he's trying to do damage control.
NBA players separate fights by grabbing opposing players ALL THE TIME. Kerr needs to inform the rest of the league about this rule of thumb. Now I have to rewatch to see if Rudy targeted Klay like Kerr is implying or if he just grabbed Klay because he was closest and quickest way to de-escalate(without a psycho like Draymond on the floor).
Exactly incorrect. Draymond doesn't need anyone to tell him what they think is right or wrong. Kerr was supporting Draymond and his team and now does a flip flop to be NBA politically correct. BS.
Listen to high level athletes that are in full support of Draymond. Watch videos taken from multiple angles. Watch the illegal, physical abuse dished out from TrailBlazers.... And people wonder why fights break out. Draymond protected his teammate, kept instigator at a safe distance. These comments are made by a bunch of PC wimps
That trash Klay contract has really been killing them. If he doesnt take a pay cut AND come off the bench, Klay should just go home. Moody and Kuminga are more than good enough to replace Klay at this point. Draymond is still their best defender, and board man gets paid. Klay has always been their best shot chucker, but now he doesnt play defense and holds the ball too much. I dont want to see Klay iso
I would say Latrell Sprewell choking his coach was way worst. Edited, my memory was vague as it was 25 years ago. But he did get a 68 games suspension from the league, there are documentaries about it.
@@lorddevil863 Exactly! I'm not excusing what Dray did to Poole but none of us know what was even said to make Draymond react like that plus it's one of thing if he did it to other teammates before striking Poole but that's not the case.
Steve you have allowed this to go on with Draymond for years knowing that he needed to get help but being passive and making excuse for him so you need to take blame in this
He's still not taking accountability gobert tried to break it up. How many times we see Steve Adams do that to the opposing team. KLay also started the other fight. Hold them accountable
@@okiedokie2557 To be completely unbiased and fair. Knowing Draymond as a person, he would've done the same if Gobert didn't resist from standing next to Klay and sorta holding onto him and if Gobert wasn't 7'2.
Intentions Gobert doesn't matter. Gobert actions were wrong. If you want to grab other play(do at your own risk) them grab then not like that. So Green grabbing him was 100%ok, and almost excepted from him. Holding him for seemingly eternity wasn't ok and seems Draymond understands that
Draymond is integral to the Warriors chemistry but he needs to grow the hell up. Hes a grown ass man, he has a son. Be a better role model. Your son is gonna be just as violent when hes older if he sees his Basketball Star Dad doing it all the time.....This isnt a high school locker room. Punches Poole last year, Headlocks Rudy this year, lol. The only team that is gonna put up with his nonsense is the Warriors, he has to know that....
Finally Kerr sees the point after all these years. Draymond has to held accountable. He could have let go but he held on so long. Draymond knows he would have been suspended. He could have defended Klay without getting suspended
Draymobnd has been in the league long enough to know better. It appears to be a character flaw when he allows his temper to dictate actions, which is dangerous in sports.
The point is, Draymond is an affectively immature guy. An angry and insecure boy in a man's body. He confuses toughness with violence, confidence with arrogance, self-esteem with an inflated sense of self importance. He's hurt the team more than he's helped them.
If rudy was wrong and Dray was ok to get him off Klay, then by that theory of kerr, rudy did the same thing by taking klay off mcdaniels since klay started the jersey grab. So in that sense rudy was trying ro protect his team mate. In general any such physical fights in a game is just wrong. They all are responsible and yes Dray was the worst based on how long he was hilding Rudys neck. This is a shameful incident and not setting a right example for many young viewers watching the game.
Well the truth is that we’ve had a great run! Some teams have never even been to the finals. But it’s over. I don’t even see us winning another game. Almost like the Patriots. You can’t win a championship every year and eventually all good things come to an end. I’ll always be a warriors fan win or lose!
Maybe when he punched a college kid or sucker punched a teammate you guys should of suspended him and actually held him accountable. Everyone is more then willing to say this about AB but won’t do it with draymond
"Fire and Passion" BS. His emotions are not in his control. He is a disgrace to basketball at this point and I am a LONG time Warriors fan. He cost the Warriors a title once. Last year his punch of his teammate in the pre-season ruined the chemistry for the whole year etc. etc.,
Nice try. Kerr was paying more interese in the question because if it was asked with a logicial thought process behind it, maybe it would help him find a solution to resolve the problem with Draymond's behaviour. It has nothing to do with being defensive.
Finally. Sure he's said this to Dray before. Q: Can Dray actual hear "in-ex-cus-able" (no excuses; no explanations). Time to straighten up & correct flight - maybe too late.
One of the hardest things that almost all men have to learn to control, is that in-the-moment urge to destroy the opposition.... Beyond mere competitiveness...but the fire is the same...we celebrate the fire, but condemn the lack of judgement in that heated moment... It's a blessing and a curse... Hang tough, Dray...And understand, you're only making it tougher for yourself, and easier for officials to blow the whistle.. You now go into every game with, effectively, 1-1/2 fouls... So...shut up, and NEVER argue for the rest of the season...turn on your heel...stiff upper lip...the refs have a target now, and you put it there...
Steve Kerr wouldn't be the legendary coach if it wasn't for Draymond and this is why Kerr struggles with holding him accountable. Kerr so called offensive genius wouldnt' be possible without Draymond's IQ and ability to play different positions. Kerr has to tow a sensitive line because he needs Draymond for the rest of the year. Draymond centrality to their offense is the reason they are struggling without him; he sets the best screens for Klay and his chemistry with Steph is unmatched. Kerr can't afford to lose Draymond for the rest of his year hence the inaction around his transgression and his perpeptual backing of a dirty player who will only get more desperate as his play declines. Steve Kerr given the impression of a morally outstanding person but what he is, like most of us, self-interested. He, post back-surgery & all couldn't even let Mike Brown coach the finals game because his ego would've taken a big hit and credit would've shifted. As an oakland native, Steve Kerr is your typical bay-area white liberal forever shifting his moral scales & outrage.
Every time people say draymond is not tht good they bring his rings up lol so he got 4, mj 6, Sam jones had 10 and bill Russell has 11 but people still never say Sam and bill r goats but they say it’s mj even tho he’s got 6 so why the f does draymonds 4 even matter at all. The way people talk abt rings I mean 11 is more than 6 tht means mj shoud never ever be the goat! And draymond is irrelevant if it wasn’t for Steph and klay plus the 2 years kd came to help his ass get 2 more! Thts just my opinion tho!
Why are you people not talking about what others do to trigger him. NBA should look at the opposite side. NBA should fine the other guy too for ripping Clay's Jersey. It's crazy though that Dray is always put on the line for doing whatever he does. People only focus on Dray in troubled sotuation BUT not the other side.....😢
Draymond is suspended for 5 games and makes $153,941 per game. OUCH!!! 🤣 Well... I guess that's five games of no nut kicking, eye gouging, rib stomping, or strangulation.
He has consistently crossed the line in front of his manager and his teammates and in front of all NBA fans and auathorities.. Authority and discipline have to work to preserve him as a player and as a person of respect. He is seen by a lot of people and he carries the NBA logo and the Warriors logo with him. That is not the Golden State Warriors and that is not the NBA. There is no question here about his talent and his contribution. It is all about his behavior and how it exposes other players to unnecessary risks. There is no justification. NBA has had its issues to control some players behavior, whilst the vast majority are very good examples. For respect to the game, to the NBA to the vast majority of its players he should receive the help and assistance that he may need, but also the disciplinary sanctions. Just for the good ones. It has nothing to do with competitiveness. A lot of players are competing hard every day in the NBA without an unproper behavior.
Draymond took the...."Heart and Soul" and "Enforcer" to a criminal level. I think him hearing that, enabled his emotions to cross that line. Don't sugar coat Draymond as a good guy. He is not. Maybe in closed doors, Kerr had told Draymond to continue being himself.
anger management + 8 pts a game=Draymond. And I'm from the D. ( 6 mile) and he should know better. Get it together Draymond. Lotta soldiers would love to be in your spot but are locked up back home.
Why is this unwritten rule all of a sudden applies with Gobert. It’s been happening in NBA for Decades. That unwritten rule only applies on the street not on professional world. They chose to be an NBA player they should act professionally
I've seen players separate fights by grabbing the closest guy regardless of jersey all the time. Kerr thinks we are blind or that the rest of the league ignores his rule of thumb. Now I have to rewatch to see if Gobert targeted Klay or if he was just the closest guy. Kerr making it sound like he targeted Klay or something.
@@MoonMoon-fx1op He did say he saw ONE ("A replay" meaning one....) And he said in that replay that he saw Rudy's hands around Klay's neck, which never happened. So unless one of the guys on the bench took the time to deep fake a replay and show it to Kerr, he is still a liar.
I suddenly realised why Bob Myers was fired: he is the one who gave Draymond the BIG contract instead of showing the self centered violent bastard the door!
This is not what Kerr said after the game. And he was standing directly in front of it while it happened. Oh and it was 9 seconds. Keep “working” on it. 🙄
Is he embarrassed though?? His immediate need to go off on IG without being able to be silent for a day and consider his family, the league, the team.. himself! It’s really hard to see.
if my coach threw me under the bus like this, i would significantly reduce my effort on the court, do what i am supposed to do and leave the battle for those soft heart people
This guy is one of the worst. Kerr should retire from being a nonproductive coach. We all know that S. Curry makes the play and gets the wins. Kerr doesn't really matter as long as there's S. Curry is there.
Man of principle. He likes Green and the vital role he's played in championships. But, he's not going to defend wrong. Different than most people, especially politicians and business people, in current times.
