The little clip of them talking during the timeout. That is great leadership and communication. Jordan anticipated a possible double team and knew it would be Kerr's defender coming at him. He lets Steve know, when Kerr says "if he comes off I'll be ready" he's getting himself in the mindset to get the ball and make the shot. That's exactly what happened. Well done, Bulls.
I've never seen that clip before; the confidence of Steve Kerr is pretty remarkable, the trust of Jordan on his teammate, the determination in their eyes... that's how you win Championships
HHAHAHAHAHAHAH People here talking about how Jordan trusted his teammates, the determination on their eyes... Nah, bullshit, Jordan was ashamed of the situation and Kerr's reaction. HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
João no he wasn’t he trusted his teammates and strives to make them all better because he realised however good he was he couldn’t win the last game of the season alone
My favorite Kerr story was when he played for the Cavs, and Ehlo got hurt. When MJ knew Kerr was going to guard him, he said 'I'll score 100 points." Kerr's response: "I'll hold him to 70, easy."
Steve Kerr is one of my favorite NBA person ever. His time with the Spurs made me love him even more. Not a Warriors fan, but I hope he stays healthy and see the success he deserves.
@@christine4613 absolutely, I've gotten annoyed with the Warriors because they just kept winning (like em more nowadays though.) But I never had any issues with Kerr. It's kind of cliche, but he really is all class. Extremely well spoken and just seems like a good dude. The NBA is lucky to have him.
You're probably a salty cavs fan. Kerr is a very good coach. And that among a series of factors led him to 3 finals appearances and 2 championships, plus a 73-9 record in the regular season.
I've thought about that exact thing, but the mic is also sitting like 'right behind' Kerr. Otherwise, he's just, pretty much, nodding and saying "I'll be ready".
They all knew what was gonna happen but what else can you do? Not double up on MJ? that's the thing, having a player like him against you just means you're a man short all game.
That death stare that Jordan gave him in the huddle. He was never going to miss after getting one of those. Damn I forget how much of an intense psycho Michael was.
@@Alic4444 yea i was there, i still remember how he got clowned for "never passing" the ball and missing hella shots, but every superstar always gets hate from the teams they bury anyway
@@SmoovyNovaFan lol we like them more than the warriors stop, stop speaking for everyone else, pretty sure with a lot of people were not even born when they 3 peat. So a lot of them loved lebron james tahts the rrason warriors were hated.
This is one of my favourite shots inna history. The trust MJ had in his team was so strong and that trust resulted in another ring for MJ and a beautiful moment for mr Steve Kerr. This kind of play is what makes Michael the undisputed GOAT!
Hes such a great leader, you can really tell the team loves to play for him. Hate or love the warriors but everyone respects Kerr. That's real talk. Glad he got another ring and hopefully his back troubles are over with.
That's our high I.Q. hilarious Steve Kerr! Loved to see his funny side. His serious comments on issues inside and outside basketball were always honest, insightful and refreshing.
I love it. Steve responding with determination and confidence, as a private would do towards his first sergeant. Thats is what inspires great leadership, from jordan... and a winning mentality that Kerr has.
this was the best NBA story ever told, lol I remember it the day he said it. still makes me smile... I hate gsw but always a Kerr fan #ArizonaWildcatAlumni
The confidence that Micheal had in Steve is the greatest compliment he could give him. In the clutch, he’s the only guy, besides himself, that Micheal trusted to sink the game winner.
What's even more impressive is if you pay close attention Jordan actually tripped Stockton so Kerr would have an even cleaner look, so there really was no way Kerr would miss cause GOAT was gonna make it easy for em.
@@bryanmejia4826 looking back at it, the league was much more enjoyable with these "fouls" in today's league....reggie miller shoving jordan really hard in game6 before taking that game winning 3 to force a game7 in the ECF in 1998 would've never happened if reggie was called for an offensive foul
Duuuuuude...I can't see how this is NOT talked about more often. I always wondered why Stockton "tripped" trying to get to Kerr after Jordan passed it off and after watching it a few times/different angles, it's clear that he was helped to the floor.
Based on the video, if he missed, with three Chicago Bulls having rebounding position, Kukoc, Pippen or Pippen would have grabbed the rebound and finished the game off. Caught the Jazz napping.
Jordan put Kerr through the blast furnace and was vindicated by that moment , Kerr earned the right to tell that story , you could tell Jordan waa loving the banter
When you grow up in war-torn Lebanon and have to deal with your father's murder at 18 years old, Michael Jordan's expectations of you on a basketball court don't seem all that scary. As a player and coach combined, Steve Kerr is one of the greatest ever.
Jordan took it very personal. So personal in fact that on the following year, he took every shot for the last minute of game 6, and winning his 6th championship
Derek Shelby right?!?! those Alpert brothers have been the voice of sports since I was a kid. And that was a long ass time ago. I love he way he said "JORDAN FOR THREE...YES!"
Their conversation during time out only shows that Jordan already knew their opponent would double team him, so Kerr said when that happens "I'll be ready". And they were right, so MJ pass it to Kerr, it's a great team work.
