Are we looking at this biblically? What if we judged David, Abraham, Jacob, Esau the same? Should we stop reading Psalms and Proverbs because the writers fell from grace? The enemy here is Satan. We should be humbled that we haven’t given into sexual temptation by the enemy instead of shooting the wounded? How do we restore brothers and sisters in the faith? I understand that church discipline needs to happen here and it is a process to restore someone, but to cast out those who have sinned and not care for the fold shows the world that we are above sin, feel it can’t happen to us, and have no use for anyone who messes up.

This makes me tremble. If King David, in the Bible, a man after God's own heart, fell into temptation and he was blinded by his sin that Nathan was sent by God to lead him to repentance, so we all are in danger to fall. That is why our Lord Jesus taught us to pray first of all that the name of God be honored as holy and also that we pray to the the Father to deliver us from the evil one. We all should watch ourselves, or we also may be tempted as in Galatians 6:1 says. When pastors fall into sexual sin, it can serve as a wake-up call for the Church to re-evaluate its understanding of leadership and reliance on individuals rather than Christ. In the New Testament, there is no central figure, like a modern pastor, dominating the gathering or holding all spiritual authority. Such failures can remind believers that their faith should not rest on human leaders, who are fallible, but on Christ alone. These moments often prompt deeper reflection on biblical leadership, humility, accountability, and the importance of every believer's active participation in the body of Christ. It exposes the danger of placing too much trust in a single person and encourages a return to the early Church model where Christ is the true head of the Church.

@henrka
@henrka 4 дня назад
@@Clrfy As I said only fornication, I.e. sexual intercourse is cause for divorce according to Matthew 19:9. Not even oral sex with another partner is cause for divorce. If we are going to use your standard and use the word pornea, or the definition of adultery Jesus used in the Sermon on the Mount (looking at a woman with a lustful eye) women would be divorcing their husbands every time they open an instagram account of a fitness model or glance at a hot woman at the beach, mall, office, or walking on the street. No marriage would be alive if we were to apply your standard of sexual purity to marriage. The Sermon on the Mount, just as the story of the rich young ruler, was addressed to Pharisees that thought they could be justified by the law to show them they could not keep the law. Jesus does not expect us to stop looking at women to lust after them, ,he knows we will do it, and in the sermon on the mount when he said it is better to pluck our own eye than looking at a woman to lust after her, he does not expect us to mutilate our bodies, the Sermon in the Mount is to show us we cannot stop sinning. For the purpose of the law is knowledge of sin as Paul says. No different from the rich young ruler, Jesus does not expect us to sell all our possessions and give them to the poor, he is commanding us to do it to show us we cannot do it, and we cannot be justified by the law. Your interpretation of God’s law is legalistic, and your marital advice will end up obliterating the institution of marriage since no man except Jesus can meet your standard of sexual purity. Your thinking resembles radical feminism more than biblical Christianity, sadly so did Steve Lawson’s who preached about sexual purity as if it was attainable, and damn himself by his own preaching. Radical feminist and the women’s movement has invaded the church and is destroying it, by creating false expectations of what a husband is capable of doing, no man is capable of lusting after women other than his wife, that is fact.
@henrka
@henrka 4 дня назад
@@Clrfy The greek word for adultery in the New Testament is Moicheia and not porneia as you state. That said the word the bible uses for fornication in Matthew 19:9 is porneia, which must be interpreted as sexual intercourse. Modern bible translations unlike the King James use sexual immorality, instead of fornication, but this is an incorrect translation. Jesus was clearly referring to fornication (sexual intercourse) as the sole cause for divorce. Friberg's Analytical Lexicon to the Greek New Testament defines porneia as being "generally, every kind of extramarital, unlawful or unnatural sexual intercourse". Oral sex is not cause for divorce, let that sink in, and much less is Lawson's behaviour. Jesus set the bar low,, He was not a marriage breaker like modern feminists that think they can leave their husbands if they fondle another woman or engage in oral sex with another woman, if a woman were to do that she would become the adulteress as per Matthew 19:9. If Steve Lawson's wife left him over this relationship it would be her committing the adultery, and not Steve, whose sin did not break the marital bond because it stopped short of sexual intercourse as I explained. Now clearly Matthew 5:27-30 defines adultery as looking at a woman with a lustful eye, and goes further to state if your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out, or your right arm, cut it off, but the purpose here is to convict us of our sinful condition so that we would embrace Christ as Saviour, Jesus did not intend for us to mutilate our bodies to stop looking at women to lust after them, he knew very well no man can stop looking at women lustfully, so he issued the command not with the expectation of obedience on our part but to show us our disobedience. As Paul states the purpose of the law is knowledge of sin and no man can be justified by the law.

Don't you read David? David who committed sins more horrendous than Steve Lawson from human perspective. and isn't in a way David ministering to you? A physical adulterer and murderer minestering to you - who is of course better than David and Steve Lawson... No i do not excuse sin or belittle sin. In fact none of is really knows how horrendous sin really is. And will never ever know in eternity. To grasp the heinousness of sin you must first grasp the value and Worth of God, with other words only God alone knows and will ever know how bad a sin really is. But here is a list of bible verses referring to minestering in the church. I think according to the New Testament, Steve Lawson should not be a Pastor that Shepherds a church anymore for "above reproach" is in this context. But certainly he should minister to his church and even minister in many different ways as the doors open except having a church under his shepherding:

From Chat Gpt: Certainly! Here are the previously mentioned Bible verses translated in the **New American Standard Bible (NASB)** version: --- ### **1. 1 Peter 4:10-11 (NASB)** > **"As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If anyone speaks, he should speak as one who speaks the oracles of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength which God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen."** **Explanation:** This passage encourages believers to use their unique gifts to serve one another, emphasizing stewardship and service within the community. --- ### **2. Ephesians 4:11-16 (NASB)** > **"And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, > > until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; > > so that we are no longer children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, > > but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head-Christ- from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part is working properly."** **Explanation:** Paul outlines the roles within the church aimed at equipping believers for service, promoting unity, and building up the body of Christ through mutual ministry. --- ### **3. Galatians 6:2-5 (NASB)** > **"Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby you will fulfill the law of Christ. > > For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. > > For each one shall bear his own load. > > Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who is teaching. > > Do not be deceived: God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. > > For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap everlastingness."** **Explanation:** This encourages believers to support one another by sharing burdens, fulfilling Christ’s law through mutual care, while also taking personal responsibility. --- ### **4. Romans 12:4-8 (NASB)** > **"For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, > > so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another’s body. > > Having gifts differing according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; > > or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; > > whoever teaches, let him do it with his teaching; > > whoever exhorts, let him do it with his exhortation; > > the one who gives, with liberality; > > the one who rules, with diligence; > > the one who shows mercy, with cheerfulness."** **Explanation:** Paul likens the church to a body with diverse members, each with different gifts, all essential for the functioning and ministry of the whole community. --- ### **5. Hebrews 10:24-25 (NASB)** > **"And let us consider one another in order to stimulate to love and good deeds, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching."** **Explanation:** This passage emphasizes the importance of mutual encouragement and motivating one another to perform good works within the church community. --- ### **6. James 5:16 (NASB)** > **"Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."** **Explanation:** James highlights the role of mutual confession and prayer, fostering spiritual support and accountability among believers. --- ### **7. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NASB)** > **"Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing."** **Explanation:** This encourages continual mutual encouragement and edification within the church. --- ### **8. Acts 2:44-47 (NASB)** > **"And all who believed were together, and had all things in common; and they sold their possessions and goods and distributed them to all, as any had need. > > So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were eating their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having the favor of all the people. > > And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved."** **Explanation:** Describes the early church's communal living and mutual support, setting a precedent for shared ministry and care. --- ### **9. 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 (NASB)** > **"For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so also is Christ. > > For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body-Jews or Greeks, slaves or free-and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. > > For the body does not consist of one member but of many. > > If the foot shall say, 'Because I am not a hand, I don’t belong to the body,' that would not make it any less a part of the body. > > And if the ear should say, 'Because I am not an eye, I don’t belong to the body,' that would not make it any less a part of the body. > > If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? > > But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as He chose. > > If all were a single member, where would the body be? Now therefore, He likewise disposes the members in the body, each one of them, as He has determined. > > And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or, if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. > > Now you are the body of Christ, and individually members of it."** **Explanation:** Paul explains the interdependence of church members, each with unique functions, emphasizing that every member is essential for the body’s overall health and ministry. --- ### **10. Philippians 2:1-4 (NASB)** > **"Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, > > fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. > > Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. > > Let each of you look not to your own interests, but each of you to the interests of the others."** **Explanation:** Encourages believers to prioritize others’ needs and interests, fostering an environment of mutual support and ministry. --- ### **11. Colossians 3:16-17 (NASB)** > **"Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. > > Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."** **Explanation:** Highlights the importance of teaching, admonishing, and worshiping together, promoting a collective ministry within the church. --- ### **12. 1 John 3:16-18 (NASB)** > **"Hereby we know love, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. > > But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his compassion from him, how does the love of God abide in him? > > Little children, let us not love in word or talk, but in deed and in truth."** **Explanation:** Encourages believers to demonstrate love through actions, reflecting ministry and genuine care for one another. --- ### **13. 1 Corinthians 14:26 (NASB)** > **"What then, brothers? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up."** **Explanation:** Emphasizes that every member contributes to building up the church, ensuring mutual edification through various forms of ministry. --- ### **14. Romans 15:1-2 (NASB)** > **"We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves. > > Each of us should please his neighbor for his good, to build him up."** **Explanation:** Encourages believers to support and build up one another, especially those who are weaker, fostering a supportive ministry environment. --- ### **15. (1) Steve Lawson’s “last sermon” says to me he was anticipating the bad news that he knew would very likely soon come out and was trying to “get out in front of it” as the PR hacks would say. (2) This indicates a consciousness of the backlash that would result and a cynical effort to “manage” the news when it broke. (3) Unfaithfulness in marriage is always extremely painful, even if it’s only “emotional”; but if this “inappropriate relationship” was carried on over a 5-year period, it’s hard to imagine it was only “emotional”. In addition, there is the hurt, the shaken faith of young believers, the reproach to the name of Christ and His Church, and the mocking voice of the unbeliever ringing in our ears. 2 Cor 7:10 “For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death” comes to mind. Only the Father knows SL’s heart. Psalm 145:8 “The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.” I pray for the full weight of what SL’s actions have caused to dawn on him, that he make a full confession, comes to full repentance, and at some point makes an honest public apology.

I agree, but it’s shocking to me the number of times I have heard professed Christians try to justify all kinds of questionable behavior claiming those who would warn of the dangers are “legalistic” and that we “no longer live under the law”, forgetting or ignoring that we are admonished to “Abstain from all appearance of evil.” I Thess 5:22 and to consider the weaker brother I Cor. 8:9-13.

@JonathanGrandt For immediate and vital reasons, for the public reputation of the body of Christ, we desperately need a reliable method of ending the constant parade of adultery in leadership. The deeper issue certainly needs to be addressed privately (between a man and God). I've got no power to make that happen. However, having our leaders publicly dedicate themselves to abstain from privately meeting with young women (ALONE) this would totally wipe out any further public scandal. It's doable. If anyone has a better suggestion, I'd like to hear it.

Pastors should be above reproach, which means they should be blameless and free from sinful habits or behaviors that would bring shame to the church or Jesus' name. Anyone calling themselves "Pastor" is exposing their own phoniness and hunger for authority, not a true calling to serve. Jesus Himself warned against chasing after titles like "Rabbi" or "Father," yet some ignore His clear instruction to reject such labels in favor of humble servanthood (Matthew 23:8-10). These so-called "pastors" use a title to elevate themselves above others, seeking recognition and control instead of leading by example in Christ-like humility. If their leadership depended on the fruits of the Spirit and genuine service to the body of Christ, they wouldn't need a title to prove it. They're parading a false sense of authority, and it's an insult to the true worship of God in spirit and truth.

@bloodboughtbigphilr8266 it is ONLY by the atonement of Jesus's shed blood. With that being said, he can't hold a ministerial position. The sermons, if live via anything other than his personal business, should not be linked with the church. Doesn't mean he isn't forgiven IF he repents (and only Jesus knows that), just means that he does not represent the church anymore. The Bible is clear on how to navigate the waters of a follower who doesn't repent and how it is to be handled. But Peter's is a babe in Christ, so let's not forget that either. WE have ALL fallen, none righteous, not one. The Bible states that in the end times, Jesus will, Himself, pick His church. We pray all come to forgiveness. I pray his wife is okay. This is trauma 💔

Steve Lawson was aggressive in his Lordship Salvation and borderline bragged to the young college folks in that video where he talked about sexual sins destroying your life and ministry. He said he as a virgin until he got married in his 30’s, he didn’t fall for sexual temptation like his college friends and he was probably the best athlete on the football team. He was basically bragging about how much discipline he had and those that fail would be doing a newspaper route and a few other degrading comments as if God could not bring a sinful Christian back to repentance. Kind David got another man’s wife pregnant, had her husband killed, then married the woman. Yes, he was disciplined by God, but he was still loved and considered a true man of God. Can you imagine any Christian leader doing what King David did in 2024? I’m not giving King David a pass, but I am saying that you can make a major sinful mistake and God will forgive you if you have a contrite heart. Based on Lawson’s Lordship Salvation ideology, he must not be a true believer if he’s been wallowing in an adulterous relationship for (5) years? It’s ridiculous and he had no problem talking about other Christian leaders that made comments or beliefs that he felt were wrong, so I hope he truly repents, but he created this holy than though persona about himself.

@@susanbender6029 That is silly, every man looks at a woman with a lustful eye while married. I do not know a single one that does not. Although Jesus told us to not look at a woman with a lustful eye, the purpose of the command was never that we would follow it since none of us can. It was actually to show us we are all disobedient, for the purpose of the law is knowledge of sin. The Sermon on the Mount is addressed to Pharisees that thought they were keeping the law to show them they were not. If I had to follow the Sermon in the Mount I would have to pluck out my eye, and I can assure you it is not the will of God to mutilate my body. Same thing when Jesus told the rich young ruler to sell everything and give it to the poor, this was to show him his sin, and it was never intended that he followed the command which he was unable to. The purpose of the sermon on the Mount is to show our inability to keep the commands, and our disobedience. You are misusing the law if you believe the Sermon on the Mount gives you the right to leave your husband, it does not. On the contrary only fornication gives you that right as Matthew 19:9 teaches. Jesus was not a marriage breaker, he set the bar as low as he could, so that man could obey the law and stay married. But when it came to show us our sin in the sermon on the mount he set the bar as high as he could, to show we cannot be justified by keeping the law.

Hold on, it is this sick feminism that you espouse and has infiltrated the church that is the problem much more than Lawson’s behaviour which stopped short of fornication which is the sole cause for divorce as per Matthew 19:9. Lawson’s behaviour is not sexual deviancy, it is the dream of every man in his 70s to be with a 20 year old. Whether you realize it or not, you are condemning all men and calling them sexually deviant. Are all men sinful and adulterers ? Yes, I do not know anybody that has not,looked at a woman to,lust after her, that being said there is grace in the gospel. Now as I said, fornication would destroy the marital bond, but any sexual sin short of fornication ought to be forgiven by the wife that must remain in submission to her husband. Sadly this is not preached in the church today, thus creating unrealistic expectations of male behaviour in marriage. And Lawson is guilty of this faulty preaching, think about it, Lawson condemned himself to hell by his own preaching, should his preached words be applied to his conduct he would go to hell. Lawson ought to repent first and foremost of his false preaching, and secondly only of his behaviour to his wife.

Sadly though, in today’s feminist culture very few women would accept that level of commitment, because of it staying single is a good choice these days. My personal opinion: First, I believe Phil Johnson erred in his public posting of the "details" of brother Steve Lawson's moral failure. He is correct in saying he should have left this up to the leadership of Trinity in posting any further information on Lawson and his inappropriate relationship and thankfully, he took his post down. Second, we must pray for Steve Lawson, his family, and the fellowship of Trinity. We must affirm our love for him lest he become so cast down in spirit and soul. Our God and Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, has paid the penalty for his sin (as He has for all those who have put their trust in Him), and we must trust God to lovingly restore him to a right fellowship with Himself and with the brethren. Third, we must pray for Steve Lawson's full restoration and fellowship as he is a brother in Christ who has fallen. Finally, we must all remember that we, as sinners saved by grace, are all fallen, human creatures ourselves, subject to the failures of our flesh and only by God's grace and the power of the Holy Spirit are we able to walk in victory on a daily basis. The enemy, Satan, our flesh and the world are all present and willing for us to fail if we do not take heed......."Therefore let the one who thinks he stands watch out that he does not fall" (1 Corinthians 10:12).

I agree with you about Phil Johnson. I love Phil but I think he was wrong. Most of the newest details came from X, formally Twitter. How much of it is the exact truth? I don't think we REALLY know.

Thank you so much for this update. Ever since I heard about this situation, I have struggled with being shocked, heartbroken but also anger. Steve Lawson should have come forward immediately to clarify and show a repentant spirit. Without doing so, it left too much ambiguity and too many assumptions. This update is worse than I would have thought and I agree with everything you said. The ramifications are heartbreaking. I pray for his family especially and that he will own up to his failure and be restored. Until then, and even now, Satan will continue to destroy people and lives. But, in my heart I know God will not lose His church or His people.🙏🙏🙏

I don't think all of his materials, sermons, bible studies should be deleted. He wasn't in sin through his whole ministry. He knew what he was doing though and he knows the consequences. It's just all so very sad to me.

@@Teetech37 To be fair, the information that was shared about the 5-year relationship, the woman is in her 20's and the info about the father of the woman calling the church to tell them, is all coming from secondhand information. OnePassion Ministries nor Trinity Bible Church shared that information. It was information that was, as far as I know, leaked on Twitter. Supposedly, he only confessed because he knew he was busted.

I feel that Steve's last sermon was disingenuous. He knew he was doing wrong and about to confess his sin, so he tried to dampen down the judgement as much as he could as a pre-damage control exercise. He knew he had no right to on the stage at all preaching, but he did it anyway. He reminds me of the dishonest servant who made good with his master's creditors before being fired.

Knowing what happened, it comes across as self-serving and unrepentant. At the very least, it is tone-deaf. If you listen to the sermon, around the 11: 40sec mark he talks about how they are going to pick up on verse 33 in the following week. Makes me wonder how much of him stepping down was on his own volition or out of necessity.

Well done on this heartbreaking news. I agree with you, Phil Johnson and Justin Peters. I watched Steve Lawson 's last sermon. Was very strange message, knowing what I know since the news broke, he knew what was coming and try to play it down to John the Baptist and use Jesus words there by. The latter is what scatterd me for Jesus preaching was crafty twisted to suit Steve's situation. He has brought shame to the Name and teachings of Christ. That is what scatterd my heart. Would not and could not listen to any of his pastoral work. Praying that the Lord be mercy full and grant him true repentance. Soli Deo Gloria!

this is crushing....all pastors are held to a high standard....end of story. He needs to step down forever, reflect on his life and his walk with Christ. I dont think he lost his salvation and yes Jesus is merciful eternal life is waiting for Lawson...but he should never again preach, hundred percent. For some reason so many pastors think they can commit certain sins that are so castrophic to the name of Jesus, and yet continue in HIS GRACE by preaching. Step down, and walk away. No one is saying he lost his salvation but please stop with the second chances on the pulpit.

He’s basically condemned himself in every sermon he’s preached on adultery, so people who are accused of “judging” him are simply agreeing with what he himself has said.
@henrka
@henrka 4 дня назад
Unfortunately you are correct. Lawson was a legalistic and his sermons on adultery were awful and he condemned himself in them. Instead of using the Sermon of the Mount for the purpose of knowledge of sin, he used it to tell others how to behave. This was a theological blunder, and had Lawson followed his preaching and applied it to himself, he should have plucked out his eye and cut off his arms. Lawson’s fall into sin amounts to a theological train wreck of what he preached.

To say that his books and teaching should never be used again it’s kind of ridiculous. We might as well stop reading, psalms in proverbs written by men who had fallen in their lifetime in sin. The truth of God’s word does not fall when a man falls. Yes there is shame from that person, and God will deal with them as he wills. Should we give credit to that person for the truth preached? All glory to God. He uses whom He chooses and God is not surprised by all this. Steve will be held accountable to God. Sadly, he has disqualified himself from future ministry!

It is absolutely ludicrous and hypocritical to believe it would be right to delete/"cancel" Lawson's content. And I'm not talking about individuals who are personally saddened and can't enjoy it. To each their own. I'm talking about the idea that it would be wrong to listen and use it any more. What, you were blessed by what he said 10 years ago, but now what he says is cursed? All of "our reformed theologians" died with unrepentent sin. People trying to cancel Lawson('s content) are no different than those who try to cancel Edwards and his content. The 300 years time spam between the sin and the present makes no difference in this particular judgement.

I agree with you; as I am in no position to determine his fitfulness for preaching ministry bc of my lack of information, I would have to trust that the elders in his church have made the appropriate decision. Having established that, I don’t believe it is sinful to use his materials; however, I would consider the wisdom in promoting them to others. For instance, if I made the suggestion to someone else, I might include a disclaimer. I just don’t think we will ever really know with great accuracy the breadth of his situation, though as time passes, the wisdom around making such decisions will be clearer.

Christians are reacting emotionally..understandably. This does not negate the content of any of his material.
@henrka
@henrka 4 дня назад
All of his materials are now cursed as a result of this relationship. You know why ? Not because of the relationship itself, but because of the content of his materials. Lawson condemned himself to hell in his materials, his preaching on sexual purity was so,legalistic, that the material is now cursed. Other great theologians like Karl Barth who lived a life of adultery with his secretary have not had their materials cursed, because Barth was gracious and he admitted in his materials that every man commits adultery and is forgiven by God, so his materials survived. Unfortunately Lawson ok a legalistic view of sexual immorality, by which he cursed his materials and his writings and videos cannot survive his relationship with the young woman. This is a result of Lawson’s faulty theology, Lawson needs a double repentance, first of his relationship and secondly of his writings and preaching and his materials, and sadly he has not repented of either. But even if Lawson repents of his false teachings, it would not suffice to save them, so they must be deleted from the internet and Lawson must be erased from the internet and his materials taken down.

I wonder -- is there an "appropriate" sexual relationship with a woman who is not my wife.? Just wondering how I can advise men how to dodge the "sin" designation. Maybe if we get enough 'elders' together we can come up with an answer to avoid the dirty word -- sin. Maybe Steve can designate the woman as his niece.. What do you think.
