I own 12 Lukes, it used to be 20! great guitars!! The Floyd-equipped BFR is so good with a flamed maple neck & fretboard.

Wow, such a beautiful guitar! I own a JP15 and always thought if I was a professional musician, that would be the one with its endless switching possibilities and piezo. Enjoy man!

I got a L3 in 2017 but never appreciated the Transition pickups. I stuck some Bareknuckle Holy Divers in it a couple of years ago and it immediately became my #2 after my Les Paul Custom.

Hey Zach! As a local musician that uses a jp15 through a Fractal, why sacrifice the piezo for the Luke? Just curious. Pickups maybe are that much better on the Luke?

I still own 2 Majesty guitars so I still have access to it if needed. But it's rare I actually NEED the piezo if that makes sense.

I have a 2014 L3. Love it. It has the Dimarzio Transition pickups. I'd love to compare those to the new Music Man pickups. I float the bridge. It's super smooth. The trem doesn't feel as good as the Majesty's, but it's still great.

What's the soft V neck like to play? I used to fender-ish profiles (strats/tele) with compound C radius if that helps? Is it much of a transition?

Very comfy. It's more a C than anything else. Barely notice it.

What does it have that makes it different? I own 12 Jacksons, 5 Charvels, 3 Fenders and 6 Ibanez's. I wonder what it can bring to the table. Is it 24 and 2/3 scale?

It's 25.5", but it's the pickup switching that's unique, where you get Tele and Strat splits plus the PRS Parallel vs series in the middle. Plus the Bolt-on construction on an Alder body with Maple neck just gives it a tone that none of my other guitars have. Plus you get the roasted neck and unique neck carve, and the SS frets at that size. You just glide over it and it's effortless.

I’ve tried Luke’s before and have loved them but hated the finishes. Can’t say I love sparkles so that’s not my thing but to each his own. I did just check out 2024 colors and there are a few standouts as opposed to earlier so I just may need to invest in one.

Not at all. I literally mentioned I got it in a trade from a friend at the end 😄 I'd love an EBMM deal though. I've been using and paying for their stuff since 2016 and it's amazing.

Thanks for your review. What irritates me .. what do you want to demonstrate? The guitar or your effects? ;) When people play a strat or tele clean, then you hear the character of the guitar, what I am primarily hearing here is - besides your FX section - the sound of your mesa boogie. Interesting would have been A/B-ing with other well known guitars (strat, tele, Les Paul) to get something related to the tone / character of the instrument. Otherwise thanks for presenting this nice looking instrument.

I played through the same tones that I use live and in the studio on a daily basis. I have clean tones in there, I also have distorted tones. On other videos on my RU-vid channel as well as my Instagram channel I utilize many tones to cover the vast repertoire I perform. I don't play clean 100% of the time, so it makes sense to do a demo that reflects what the guitar sounds like in a real world scenario. When I'm out gigging 75-100 times during the year, these are the tones that I use, and I want to show how versatile guitar is through those different sounds. I think it's more realistic. Unless you're an acoustic or jazz guitarist, you'll use different gear for different scenarios 😄
