Band #175 on Amazon Music. I can't imagine 174 bands are better than the Steve Miller Band. I don't like listing musicians or bands like that. It's anti Art. Art is what YOU prefer, a list tells you what you prefer.

The reaction of the girls in the crowd shows that this song was well on its way to becoming a major success. Trimming the excess and some tightening of some other parts made this song into an anthem for the decade and well beyond. Such a great performance of an untested song with great results. ❤

It was so cool back in the late 60’s and early 70’s when bands would play songs live they had written during sound checks and rehearsals before they were even recorded and released. The music industry truly screwed its own pooch over the years, didn’t it? Same experience hear from an 18 year old. Grew up on this. Old music, no matter the genre, has new school beat on so many levels, and they have to. Nothing to touch up voices back then. Nobody to coach the greats of all genres. They are the pioneers. Too many old artists to name, but this band, lynyrd skynyrd (Jax native, gotta mention em) and then rap artists like nas, Tupac, and even into the 90s with Joey badass and early 2000s with Mac miller’s upcoming. Old music will always hold a place in my head and my ears for years to come.

*meant early 2000s with Joey badass but as a 17 year old, he dropped the album 1999 which has some of the best beat selections and wordplay I’ve ever heard... from a 17 year old. I believe it dropped in like 2010-2012. Somewhere in there
