This band made #1 with their debut album "Brothers in Farms" on BIllboard's ranking of bluegrass albums 21st Sept. 2016. That same day was declared as their official celebration day in the state of Colorado by it's governor. Not bad for a band that started as a joke. You really must do this also: Thunderstruck by Steve'n'Seagulls (LIVE) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-e4Ao-iNPPUc.html with over 150M views so far.
Definetely check Thunderstruck next. Super fun band, guys are very talented and they put their heart&soul into it. They just finished their American tour and came back to Europe. 🇫🇮 🤘🤘
... Guess you mean performed by: "Steve 'n' Seagulls" (???) 🤘😁 In fact it's all the same what song you pick up by this awesome, hilarious, super talented group of Finnish 'rednecks' 😋👌 Though good suggestions...
If you do Sleeping Sun I think you should do Tarja with Nightwish first and then with these guys. Tuomas idea of Nightwish was to be an acoustic band....
They are great, aren't they. We Finns love a lot of crazy stuff, and we sure do have some pretty awesome bands. But you asked about the World...so the thing is, that Russia is in war with Ukraine, not with Finland or Europe. They (=Putin) just attacked there without any reason. His motive is most likely to "restore" old Soviet Union in all of it's "glory", and if that is the case, they might TRY to attack to Finland too. Finland is quite far away from Ukraine, but of course we share a border with Russia. But at least for now, we are save here in Finland, and I'm pretty sure that after all the losses Russia has suffered in Ukraine, they can't afford to attack anywhere else. Their only deterrent is to use nukes.
My friend is HUGE Pantera fan, and i played from youtube Steve'n'Seagulls version of Cemetery Gates... He laughed, and was like "thank you for bringing this to my life" 🤣 that song is effing great version for effing great song
You don't need all the modern technology to make great music! Check out their version of Thunderstruck by AC/DC. That's a blast. Great reaction to an unexpected rendition! Stay safe ya'll.
One of their big ones was with Tarja -- the first and former lead singer of Nightwish. She didn't have her yellow mic, though. That's in a glass case in Heaven.
Great, finally some S'n'S! These guys are becoming another national treasure. They give a unique spin and treatment to each of the songs they cover, and their music videos have nice subtle comedy and running jokes -- and are often live unplugged performances. I surely hope you dare enter this rabbit catacomb complex. Just don't forget the bread crumbs. Keep up the good things that you do!
😁👍💥💯 It's soooo difficult to watch these guys without a little grin on your face while they are providing top level cover versions by all sorts of Hard/Heavy/Metal classics, made with "cheek in tongue", in all it's uniqueness. 🤘😎 🇫🇮 💙
I kind of thought you would really like Steve n Seagulls. Here is a link to Sleeping Sun song only with Tarja at the Seaguls Nest:: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bYZb9qIGLcg.html The full show episode includes some oddball fun and games before they play Sleeping Sun together... They tease Tarja during a rowing competition and trivia contest. Btw, Tarja rows very well. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-__q3_u4R0WQ.html
Well that was fun. It is amazing how far some of these classic songs have traveled. I mentioned in a comment on another video the band named Nemophila. They have also done a cover of The Trooper. I am not even sure how much English the singer Mayu understands but hey they are having fun in their practice pad and I think they do a fine job. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C4pJh88-P4U.html
🤩it probably shouldn’t because of the lyrics, but the music makes me happy 😃 Whenever I hear a banjo I have to think about the movie Deliverance. Also the way they were dressed and sitting outside helped me think of that. 🫶🤘
They are great and so much fun, saw them in a concert last year here in Finland ! - Having the native American gear may not look appropriate anymore, but I assume they did not maybe know it wouldn´t be. Their music makes you want to start jumping around :) .They do many great covers but have their own music too. Please listen to "Joe´s little baby" and "Sweet Maria ". Cheers !
This song is about The Charge of the Light brigade, a failed military action during the Crimean war 1865, when british light cavalry brigade got royally messed up by russians.
I thought I had heard everything when I listened to the Two Cellos perform The Trooper, but this was something else. While it will never replace Maiden, this was interesting. Weird, but interesting. Would this fall under the genre "Bluegrass Metal?" Maybe needs a little more percussion and a stronger bass line. And I want that banjo players hat! Stay safe, God bless, and keep rocking.
I'd like to see a back to back reaction of Battle Beast - Eden followed by Steve n Seagulls cover of Eden with Battle Beast singer Noora Louhimo...almost like two different, yet equally awesome songs.
Now, this again, as many other Finnish metal songs, relies to lyrics from old stories from the national epic "Kalevala". A set of stories gathered from the people in the past. That can be heard in a few Nightwish songs as well. The story behind this song is tricky. A guy is killed (for some reason) and almost cut in pieces, thrown into a river, where his mother picks up the pieces and sows them together. Then magic bees come and for some way bring honey to the dead body and he gets his life back. Weird, but something like that it goes, never really read the whole book. But it's definitely been inspiring many people, not only in Finland, but also elsewhere in Europe. Why? Do not ask me, there must be other mythical stories elsewhere too.
sounds like some alchemy inspiration for that story. I think the honey refers to gold (same color) which was connected to immortality / life (philosopher's stone and all that). Just a guess
It's "The Trooper" by Iron Maiden, reassembled for this band with such instruments. You can look up the meaning behind the song by Google. Please post your insight!
