From Kokomo, IN here. Born in 77. Grow up listening to Shannon and still do. Heart broken till this day, over the lose of this man. He was a Star, since get go!
Shannon sounds like a grounded cool guy. It's almost like stardom & the grind of touring didn't agree with him He moved his family back to his home town He seemed to love the simple life away from all the BS of the music industry
I work with a guy that was really good friends with Shannon until he left for LA. He boxed and took all the judo karate and whatever other foreign fighting they took.
I LOVE NEW ORLEANS the food music & history is Amazing. I can imagine New Orleans was a Challenging place for a Shannon. Living there while recording SOUP was probably not the Best Choice. New Orleans is a Seedy Creepy Dark place if u want it to be, but I didn't get into that while there. I just enjoyed the culinary experience the music & beauty of the City. I plan to go back again ❤
The debut, Soup and Nico are all amazing albums. I know Blind Melon put out an album in 2008 and are still active as a band but it's not the same without Shannon. I feel the same way about Alice In Chains and Stone Temple Pilots.
