Steve Smith the greatest test batsman of modern era , he's the only one who made test cricket interesting to watch, what an amazing innings from the goat, this was the start of an amazing an unforgettable career proud to be a smudge fan❤
@@AshishSingh-ef5yq not a root fan but yeah it's true he's one the best test batters and no doubt in his abilities he's the member of fab4 class rootsy, only Englishmen that I admired alot
the ball that got him out was a pretty normal delivery i mean he had been knocking those to point throughout his innings. Just what the achievement of a milestone does to you sometimes in cricket, induces a lapse in concentration and there you go. Apart from that, a fine innings from Smith, just what you expect from a batter of his class. One more thing I'd like to point out is that South Africa could have set up a leg side ploy by bowling inswingers to him maybe ? instead of going outswing ball after ball. like those two lbw shouts- just a little fuller. Anyway, teams should prolly use the short ball trap too against him now, coz he whips balls on middle and leg for fours all day. just a thought.
@@chapmcchap2919 Yeah i saw that. Man, i feel like his 2017-22 stance was unmatched i mean it did fetch him a lot of runs and troubled all oppositions. Got a 100 vs SL in SL, did well in the pak series even tho the pitches were highways and we all know what happened in the ashes so. Also gotta agree, his record vs SA has been kinda low by his standards, and great observation by the south African pace attack too by bowling straighter to him. Great to chat with you too, mate. Love a cricket fiend always :DDD
The thing about this guy is he has always a superb job in these kind of situations..98/4 when he came to bat and he did what was needed to do..kudos to shaun marsh too
I remember watching this innings. As a SA fan I was sick to my stomach. 98-4 and we let Aus off the hook. In the middle of it all, a star was born. Steven Smith.
Excellent display of patience reminded me of the great rahul Dravid a. k . a the wall How come australian batters perform so well in eng sa while the so called star studded indian batsmen struggle in eng sa.?
