Lol thank you for pointing that out!! I've watched this video so many times and never realized that he meant it towards Steve and points at him. Thank you again for helping me bring out new laughs!
Yani Marshall I thought Roger was agreeing with Steve, not blaming him. Throughout the whole song Roger is addressing "Daddy" as a third person. I think the "you" in this sentence is Daddy, not Steve.
It is on iTunes - I got it from there. Search American Dad. Or you could convert this RU-vid file to mp3 - it's very easy (free, Google it) to do but not sure about legality.
I lost my Dad January 24th 2000. And My step-father (My dad's best friend) who became my second father in my life Died January 24th 2019. So Believe me, kid. (I'm just assuming you're a kid. I might be wrong) I know what you are going through.
Am I the only one who noticed that Roger keeps blaming Steve for Stan leaving? lol I love how he keeps pointing at him and saying "it's because of YOU" haha I love him!
Didn't notice till this video, but their combined shadows form Stan at one point, and also there's a sand dune at the bottom of one shot that also forms Stan's silhouette. Lmao!
the dude who does his voice, scott grimes, is actually a singer and songwriter. guy is a talented vocalist, so it's hilarious and ironic when they incorporate it into steve's otherwise nerdy character. especially when he starts crushing it on that early 90s r&b shit
@@uhh so you're telling me a 48 years old dude play as High school kids? Damn that older than when Tobey Macguire and Andrew Garfield play as Spiderman, Impressive
Steve is honestly such an amazing singer. The first time i heard him sing i completely lost it, my girlfriend was like "Oh my god you are too happy"...he sounds so amazing though!! That voice actor should make an album. Please!
I know that its only a song from american dad but the song actually speaks to me a bit because my dad died 11 years ago (so when i was 8) and even though i was young at the time i just never felt like where i was is like how home used to be, kind of like i can never go back there because my dad is gone
You do realize they are joking about magic murderer hot tub right? so it has no context to your life unless your father either A.died 3 hours ago or B.Died by magic hot tub
Reminds me of me and my brother every morning we would watch American dad and all of sudden Steve and roger started singing we were crying of laughter . Good memories 🙏🏽
“We’re never going to find a father like you” can be interpreted as either an expression of mourning or a statement of spite depending on how you are feeling.
I low-key relate to Steve here after I moved in with my mom after my parents divorce. At the time I felt like Steve but now I realize it was a better decision
Lyrics Roger: When are we going home, big bro? Steve: Been three hours since I saw you walk away from me I didn’t know the way, and I didn’t have the words to speak But all I knew was Daddy’s gone And we’re not going home, ever again We’re never gonna find another father like you Roger: No we won’t, no we won’t, no we won’t Steve: Oh Daddy, we’re crying Roger: This is because of you! Steve: I see you in my dreams at night *Roger: Whatever did I do? Something just ain’t right* Steve: Every day I want it more with all my might *Roger: It wasn’t ‘cause of me, I think it’s ‘cause of you* Steve: I’m trying to call out to you DADDY! Both: Daddy’s gone, and we’re not going home ever again
I laughed SO hard at this scene. By far, my favorite American Dad episode. Especially since I'm a huge musical fan. Great take on Little Shop of Horrors with this one. Hilarious!
I just...I...why can't hip hop/RnB sound like this nowadays? What changed from sounds like this and music that speaks to "I FUCKED A BITCH" or "MONEY STACKS!" or "DRUGS ARE AWESOME!" And I know topics like that have been around for a while, but now they're just down right disgusting. And Why did RnB have to die in such a painful way. Right now, it seems like RnB is bleeding out on the floor, about to die and it's just hoping for another chance to get back up. I used to love Nelly and R. Kelly when I was little. Now they're gone. Daddy's gone...
No, but it sorta invalidates your point about RnB these days being about screwing women and whatever vulgar shit. Also, since when did R Kelly -not- do that? Ever heard that song he did with Snoop Dogg? Jeez, it's a perfect example of what you're complaining about.
Well for one i never a rapper straight up say DRUGS ARE AWSOME and for 2 you want every rap song to talk about how they are losing somebody you have The weekend Drake Alot more people
Roger (spoken): When are we going home big bro? Steve (sung): Been 3 hours since I saw you walk away from me, I didn't know the way and I didn't have the words to speak But all I knew was Daddy's gone, and we're not going home, ever again. We're never gonna find another father like you Roger (sung): No, we won't no we won't no we won't Steve: Oh Daddy, we're crying Roger: This is because of you! Steve:I see you in my dreams at night Roger: Whatever did I do? Something just ain't right Steve: Every day I want it more with all my might Roger: It wasn't 'cause of me I think its cause of you Steve: I'm trying to call out to you...you...you..you, DADDY!!!! Steve and Roger: Daddy's gone, and we're..not going home ever again.
This song reminds me of my dad standing me up for the past few years and I was actually crying because he was never there for me when I needed him the most 💔😢. This song goes out to you daddy
The abs is killing me! lmbo. But I love this son, for real. When I first heard Steve sing, my jaw dropped. O_O I'm like... (jokingly) panty-dropping singing voice! Whaaaat? Steve, you need to sing to those girls at school.
***** Steve IS the actual Singer. Scott Grimes is his Voice Actor and he is also a Singer/Song Writer. He made an album and Seth McFarlane makes him sing as a joke for it.
