Doesn't matter how high his cymbals are or any of his other personal drum placement, it works for him. I mean, he's got the energy and accuracy to hit any drum wherever it's placed at will.
@Donteven Fuckintalktome Playing MP's materials was too easy for MM, so he raised the cymbals for more challenges. I think you understand better now, son.
@@lincthomas7178 Pshhh, bs. In other solos he takes the bleed rythm (foot hertas) and takes it a few levels higher, layering other rythms over it. This is years before the song ever came out. The herta has been used far longer though
Mangini looks so happy ... 3:10 - 3:20 when he's annihilating the bass drum looking left and right, then looking like he had a hiccup at 3:19 was especially funny. Dream Theater for some unknown reason kinda took that outta him, maybe too much time around Myung lol ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qs1_3TNQwFo.html
Amazing drummer but who taught him to throw sticks like that into the audience? You throw it with a spin generated by the wrist and fingers along the stick's axis so it gyroscopically mantains it's orientation in space and in a way so it flies parallel to the frontal axis of the bodies of the audience standing in front of you. In other words you throw it by a black panther raised fist hand posture and grip. You don't want to poke anyone's eye out!
The video sucks he is already fast and the fucken cameras always moving all the time make me sick seriously! But Mr.Mangini and Mr.Portnoy are the real fucken thing🥁🥁🥁💥
why can't these guys ever get a drummer to video shoot these drum solo's"?. it would be so much better with the actual video of the drummer's solo being shot instead of a bunch of in and out panning with the camera which is so amateurish".
Cool and guitarists seem like they're really accomplished at pulling things, good for them, singers are really accomplished in opening their mouths, good for them, scientist are really accomplished at thinking and writing stuff, good for them.
