Steve Vai is not just a master guitarist, but also and foremost a great great guy

Man! To see Jan Akkerman, and Steve Vai, just tearing it up on the same stage would absolutely blow my f&^%$#g mind!!!! Imagine the two of them shredding up "Hocus Pocus?" I would loose all focus!

For those who don't understand Dutch. They said he arrived 6 hours later than expected because of delays. Steve had toured by bus for a while but said he was still full of energy. Later they say he could have won it every year because he always makes the top ten. They also say his music is quite technical and not easy to learn. About Bad Horsie they say they shouldn't try to emulate him . Later Adrian says he felt he had to introduce Steve to Jan Akkerman as he is so iconic and that Steve used to listen to Focus as well and that their first 3 albums were so great that that was the highest level you could reach. And that they could see Steve and Pia really being impressed by Jan's playing. Then Adrian meets Steve and Pia and Adrian says he had such great times with Steve and they hadn't seen in years and that it is also amazing that Steve and Pia are still together after so many years. Adrian tells about writing the songs for Whitesnake and then getting his injury and that he was of course disappointed to not be able to play but that Steve was the perfect choice. That they toured for 18 months, had lots of fun and that he felt he hoped he could keep up with Steve. In the beginning he thought: I have to practice because he rarely did and now he had to play with this virtuoso. That's it in a nutshell. Also in the video that Jan Akkerman just like Vai had a connection/ had worked with Zappa.

When steve hug with adrian.. Oh god.. Such a moment.. When love, respect, friendship collide..Love it.

Congrats Mr. Vai. You and Mr. Satch are the reason why I love Instrumental Rock Guitar music. Mabuhay!!!
