I've never heard anyone else serve up so much pure wisdom, mixed in with a generous dollop of sarcastic humour, and liberally sprinkled with the word motherf****r all over the place. It sounds like the perfect combination for a top tiktok career! And if that fails, RU-vid shorts. He's gonna make millions of squids. Good for him. He's bloody brilliant!
He actually is. Who would have thought a two-minute video of a person cussing would immediately get you Millions of followers, money off of hoodies (with MFukr on the front of them), and then fall into a Comedy gig. The man is a MFking genius.
I married a mechanic with a tendency to dislocate his shoulder. Boy was it alarming the first time he threw himself against the wall. To his credit it worked.
My mom babysat a little girl with a very loose shoulder. We had to be extra careful because even something like swinging too hard on monkey bars could put her shoulder out
"it's when it goes silent that our hearts drop" yep, the only place where I'm relieved to hear a baby crying is the ER, cause if it's crying, it's alive
"You no longer have a virgin shoulder MuFKR, it's lose" 😂🤣🤦♀️ straight forward, to the point, and presented in a way that actually captures my interest. Not in a way that puts my ass to sleep. I'm learning, actually interested and laughing.
Worst er experience I ever had was when I was 18. I had a bad stomach cramp that prevented me from standing up straight and I was nauseous. Because I didn't act like it hurt very bad, even though I gave an 8 on the pain scale when they asked....I was sat in a nearly empty waiting room for 5 hours, watching a drug seeker, cut finger, and over paranoid mom and baby get called back. I ended up having appendicitis, and was rushed into emergency surgery after the CT scan came back showing an extremely hot appendix. I was treated like a liar up until that point. Needless to say, I never went back to that hospital in my life and encouraged everyone I knew to avoid that place if they needed something more than just a bandaid. Sometimes, small town hospitals suck.
That's awful!! I'm so glad you were okay after all. I had to wait 8 hours to get my jaw reset (locked open) 😤😤😤 I kept panicking and they finally knocked me out, fixed the jaw and when I woke up I was in AFib 🙄 for THREE days in ICU... Since then I researched how to fix it myself and it's SO simple!!! Infuriating
@@mswetra2610. True but they now treat EVERYONE LIKE ADDICTS AND CRIMINALS because of all the chaos the real addicts caused. Us chronic and intractable pain patients are treated like lowlifes while now the addicted get love, care, free treatment and their drug of choice while being coddled because they are “sick” while Us real, legitimate patients are called liars even when we’ve had the surgeries, X-rays and permanent disabilities to prove it. We are dismissed, under medicated, have to pass outrageous and unnecessarily often and painful blood draws and urinalysis every time we have an appointment. Which is mandatory monthly now. The addicts have hurt us so bad and unless we start making legal complaints nothing will change. We were never the abusers, or the dealers and our medication doesn’t make us high. It just allows us to live a somewhat normal lifestyle when we are dosed properly. We have a legitimate and legal right to receive whatever medication, in whatever dose that makes it possible to want to get out of bed. Care for our basic needs and tend to our families. I will continue to fight for my rights regarding my health and medication but I can’t do it alone. There are legal complaint departments we can write to. We can report our doctors to their board members and administrators and the medical associations they are a part of. We need to start doing these things. Google the information you need. Talk to attorneys and medical boards. Let’s get our lives back . We can also sue for our rights to receive our medications. These doctors have a duty of care to us which they are ignoring. Please start doing your part so we can implement the necessary changes and we can begin to receive the rightful, legal care we deserve. Thanks for letting me vent. Now do your part!! Get busy. Let’s get together and get these changes done ASAP!! Feel well y’all and good luck 👍🏻
My mom's hospital took 10 days to diagnose her with lung cancer. 3 days to say she had a brain tumor. Literally did blood work the first day she went in after she had a major seizure. That's it. Cornwall Memorial Hospital. Don't ever fucking go there.
My mom, grandma and mother-in-law were nurses. My mom was very calm, cool and collected. No panicking here. She saved her breakdowns for after we were asleep. My dad would be comforting her. I'm not a nurse, still used the same tactics.
Yesssss pediatric dosages! People don’t get why I have to weigh their baby before giving them meds. Literally ALL pediatric dosages are based on weight in the healthcare system. Broselow bands for the win so we don’t have to do it again or refer to their chart every time a new medication is started!
I love watching this guy. I'm a pharmacy tech and we see some of the weirdest crap from people too. I love getting calls daily with a pt stating "I need a refill on my little white pill." Ok..... A drug name or Rx number would be great. Or even the ones that have no idea what one of their meds is for but have been on it for 6 years.
Omg I kinda miss those calls 😂 I left the pharmacy cause I knew I’d end up getting arrested for giving free drugs to the people who can’t afford their meds (a low income pharmacy with a lot of families), but I love-hate pulling out the gigantic encyclopedia of pills and look for the white one with an A and a 214 on both sides or whatever 😂
I think you are so much more useful in the ER but I I understand the transition to comedy. I think you are now revealing more of what we need to know! You are brilliant!!!
i remember my dad dislocated his shoulder this past summer and my sibling and former-paramedic mom had to pull it back into place. it worked out fine in the end but the video my mom used for reference for popping a shoulder back into place without pain meds had its first step as "gain your patient's trust" and we all had a good laugh about that.
3:50 I felt so called out, I used to have bad anger issues and would punch walls or anything solid a lot. I got it under control but know have to deal with the shame and annoyance of having a fucked up hand/knuckles. Great video, I love this guy so much!
Just recently found your channel. So funny!! Especially the 'I have a cucumber up my butt'. I was crying laughing at the captions for keeping a straight face 😂😂😂
I wish that you would come to England and work at my local ER coz I love your dark sense of humour (I'm an ex-nurse!) But I also care about your mental health and wouldn't wish working at that hospital on my deadliest enemy! Keep doing what you do coz even on my bad days you make me smile and laugh and if anyone takes offense then there is no helping them coz they are dead inside!!! Much love from across the pond 💗💗💗
Been to an urgent care once- sat in an empty waiting room for like half an hour before seeing a doctor, which is significantly nicer than how ERs are, apparently
All I gotta say is... AIN’T THAT THE TRUTH !! Funny how any medical personnel that already knows this, is dying laughing... 😆😂🤣😜 Thanks Steveioe SOOO Entertaining!!
The amount of non emergency cases that come into an ER is crazy. I still remember when I first started working at the hospital and being surprised by the amount of, I joke not, stubbed toes, that were in the waiting room. When I am there screening people and we are over capacity(which is basically a constant thing), I recommend either the other hospital in town, or the urgent/quick care places depending on the day.
I think a lot of it is because trying to get an appointment to see your GP is a week's long wait (and most of them will simply suggest going to the ER in any case), and as he noted, a lot of people don't realize that's what urgent cares are for. When the next GP appointment is weeks out and you're not sure if you broke that toe or not, the ER can seem like the right (and/or only other) answer.
i was in an ambo yesterday and on the main radio someone was asking ¨can someone drive her or can she take anotherway?¨ she stubbed her toe. there were 8 ambos on the road
People who call off sick need doctor's excuses even if they get sick or hurt outside of office hours. Even in areas with urgent care patients often don't want/can't pay to go there and then be sent to ER anyway.
Urgent care is cheaper and faster, particularly if they're in a hospital. E.g. I went to UC with an infected toe one morning. Doctor says it needs surgery and he was going to get the foot surgeon to give me a call. Podiatry called after lunch and I got an appointment for surgery in the afternoon. Get this - I waited for the call at home! So much more comfortable than waiting in the ER. Insurance hardly ever tries to deny an UC bill either.
Had health problems most of my life and spent far more time than I wished in the E.R. over the years. Everything you say is true and the way you phrase it is hilarious.!😂
Your shorts became my favorite. Funny, full of knowledge and cussing is all over the place 😂 I also can relate a bit since I work in the medical field too
As someone with hypermobile ehlers danlos syndrome whose left shoulder dislocates usually at least once or twice a day (along with several other joints), your explanation of dislocations was hilarious. I'm fortunate that my joints tend to pop back in pretty easy, just like they pop out pretty easy. Less fortunately, the torn labrums and muscles don't heal so easily lol. Genetic mutations in collagen suck. But at least I've only ever had one ER visit for a dislocation - you get used to putting them back in against a wall or with a friend/family member to help.
I was wondering about that because mine got dislocated for no apparent reason. I'm guessing how I slept. I couldn't shift gears or even lift my arm at all and the socket hurt. Of course I didn't go to the hospital even though it was literally hanging off me 🙄 it went back into place on its own within a few hours 😬 Ever since I can't even throw a ball or anything or my shoulder will hurt. That was like 18 years ago 🤣
I really like your videos they are very entertaining but they are also very educational I have a lot of health problems so I see a lot of doctors and sometimes they use terms that people don't understand unless you've been to medical school thank you very much you actually explained a few things to me that they could not explain
I LOVE these videos! I uses to be a critical care tech and now I'm telemetry tech and i can not get enough of these videos. They're so true, and hilarious 😂
I've broken about 5 bones, only 1 of them I went to the ER for (The first one.), the rest I went to my general practitioner (She was not happy.) or urgent care. Thanks for bringing it up that not everything needs to be seen by an ER doctor!
@@laurieb3703 I should probably specify that the rest were either broken fingers, toes, and one hairline fracture. The first was my arm and it was a clean break so there was no debating whether or not it was broken 😅
On the stray occasion, I am an idiot and forget to bring my water bottle with me when shopping in the summer. This results in me getting a dehydration headache. Im sorry I come in puking and not able to open my eyes but my Dr and urgent care told me "Lulz, go to ER". Ive gotten a lot better over the years not being a total idiot and do really regret bothering you guys because urgent care refuses to give me some anti nausea so I can keep water down.
I did get something stuck in my eye the day after I watched the tip for something stuck in your eye. I made sure not to rub it, and patted it if it got really bad, as I was in the shower and couldn't do anything. Apparently nothing was in there, but I felt something sharp. Ironically, I had an eye appointment that day.
When the gowns are the backless style rather than the wrap kind, I always ask (politely, & saying I understand if there's a shortage) for two, so I can put one on backwards for both modesty & warmth. I have a spinal injury, & letting cold get directly into it/causing the muscles to clamp around it ramps up my pain like nobody's business. I always wear nice - but modest - underwear when I know I'm going to hospital, just in case. 😅
When I was 14, my parents forced me to see this chiropractor. I finally refused to wear a gown. I would've worn it if he he didn't "accidentally" walk in on me changing and make inappropriate comments. He got quite angry about me refusing to change into a gown.
Me. I've been to the hospital a dozen times for x-rays and stuffs and had a nurse force a medical gown on me when I was like 5. It's been around 6 months since I've had to go to the hospital/ER and I don't refuse the medical gown anymore.
Very religious people will. Usually women who are concerned about their modesty. My sister took the ultra conservative Christian religion we were raised in pretty zealously, and she refused to remove her blouse, even though my mother (in the same religion) assured her it was okay. In some religions, it's forbidden for a woman to allow a man to see her body (chest, hair, but below the belt is the big one). A friend of mine was a traveling doctor in such a country, and he wasn't even allowed to see a female patient if she had to remove her clothes, even if that meant she would die. It wasn't just religious tradition, it was actually against the law in that region.
I've heard of a lot of birthing people who don't want to wear them during labour, because they feel dehumanizing. There's actually a few companies that make nice labour clothes that look better, are more comfortable, allow easy access to the spine for epidurals, belly for monitoring, and breasts for feeding. They also keep your bum covered if you want to, contrary to hospital gowns that just leave it on display. Two brands I have found with a bit of quick googling are Lila Mama and Pretty Pushers
When I was in martial arts, they taught me to lead with the knuckle of my index finger. So I guess that’s the one that would break if I punched a wall. I usually kick walls, for that very reason.
I pretty much never do that, but whenever I strike a wall, I just hit it with the side of the hand, opposite to the thumb... Less satisfying, but a hell of a lot less painful 😂😂
If kicking walls eventually breaks your leg, just keep useless things from purchases to absolutely destroy and annihilate without hurting yourself, like an empty box.
Because a lot of folks either don't have a regular doctor because they're uninsured, the wait time to get an appointment is weeks out, and/or you call your regular doc and they're like "you should go to the ER and get an x-ray if you think it's serious, because we're booked solid right now." All of which has happened to me.
Omg I love you! I’m a retired manicurist. I had lots of nurses as clients (pedicures) and you know what they say! Your hair stylist and your manicurist know EVERYTHING about you 😎
I’d much rather have someone in boxers than a hospital gown, this guy we have to guard the room of full frontal flashes us every time he gets up. So boxers was soooo much better
I LOVE how down to earth and HONEST you are in your videos #MuFKR Some may not appreciate the useful information you provide for us BUT FK THEM cause this is VERY INFORMATIVE! I actually learned a few things from your videos that I honestly never knew. Thank you and keep em coming, FK the HATERS MuFKR😂😂
My sister used to get in a lot of school fights. In one she ended up dislocating her shoulder. This lead to every fight after that ending in a dislocated shoulder. Now she’s able to do it manually, she says it hurts but she can do it-
My son had a corneal abrasion. He accidentally scratched his eye with a straw. He was in a lot of pain. He was only 8 years old. I got to see his eye glowing and see the scratch. They gave him an eye drop that numbed it. Took a little while for his eye to completely heal.
Lmao my brother punched a tree once when we were camping because he was mad a bear ripped up his bag because he did not listen and had snacks in his backpack instead of putting it in the bearproof box 😆
6:46 true, i sprained my ankle 4-5 times. My ankles are weaker than usual, its pretty painful, but i never went to the ER / Urgent Care for a sprained ankle.. I went to my nearest Pharmacy got a bandage and left it alone, I never used crutches, I hopped on one foot, XD- It usually takes 1-2 Weeks
I had the corneal abrasion as an infant and had to wear a patch over my eye for a month or so after my mom couldn't find out why I was screaming all the time. Turns out I scratched myself with my nails. No reason why I felt it necessary to let you know!
As a former CNA I used to think of hospital gowns pretty much as a great idea. Then I moved to Finland (let's just say Europe) and wow! Hospital p.j.s, and a hospital bathrobe (real deal including belt and pockets) hospital socks and hospital slippers!!!! In multiple sizes and colours and decent weight fabrics. Civilization! I won't be back for a hospital gown! Nope!
Insurance companies love urgent care. Some will even pick up 100% of the tab because it'd cost them less to pay for that visit rather than having to pay a minimum of $6k for an ER visit.
@@RyanBlackhawke USD6000 minimum for 1 ER visit?? Somebody must be making a LOT of money out of this! (considering the places appear to be full up with waiting patients most of the time.)
You know you have EDS when you can sprain your ankle walking on flat ground with no shoes on, with nothing in the way to trip me. And whoops there went the ankle. Although usually I end up just standing on the side of my foot in a funny way.
You're a zebra too? As I get older, I get injured way worse by much less even though I'm stiffening with age. Can't tell you how often I pop a rib just rolling over in bed. I toss and turn while I sleep (because I start to hurt by staying in one position too long), I'll roll over while almost completely asleep and BAM, popped rib, intense pain, fuck yo sleep.
I dislocated my shoulder when I was like 4. May have been partially dislocated but I had no idea what was even going on at that age. And my sister knew it was dislocated but still thought it was a good idea to try and keep it a secret from my parents cause she was the one who caused it to dislocate. Yeah, no way I would’ve stopped crying when I was in that much pain.
On the urgent care one, I smiled. There was ONE TIME i went to an urgent care when i needed to be in an ER and that's when I sliced my finger down to the bone. Thankfully, this particular Urgent care was attached to a hospital and they just walked me to the ER. Never had to be in an ER since, urgent care at most, and even that is rarer than rare for me.
At 4:07 you called the bone the wrong name it is the metacarpal. Love your content I worked as a ct tech for many years. I got burned out so now I work a boring job at a grocery store. Have a blessed day
I only just found this channel and I love it. I don’t have the time to scroll through all of the comments but I hope someone, somewhere said it’s a METACARPAL, not METATARSAL, MuFKR!
OMG so true about going to urgent care if the ER isn't life threatening or otherwise needed!!! I had to get cleared for work due to having weird welts on my body after staying in a hotel during the last monkey pox outbreak... I went to the ER, the doc eventually saw me and compared my welts with pictures of monkey pox online and said nope. I got paperwork saying I was cleared for work and a HUGE bill despite having health insurance that I naively thought would cover the visit. Company would not, of course, pay. Now I go to urgent care for anything that can't wait for a doctor appointment and isn't life threatening.
I love this guy. Im a chronic acute asthmatic so have spent a fair amount of time in ER's. The amount of times I've heard people complain about waiting times annoys me and I continuously tell people that unless they are dying or bleeding out, go to urgent care clinics or make a GP appointment. If you wouldn't ring an ambulance, why go to the ER? But that's just my thoughts on it.😅😂
This guy is the greatest! 😂 I also have a small question. That he most likely will not answer, but here goes. I have broken my arms seven times in total, and each time I went to the ER. (Not my choice, I’m a minor.) I was just wondering whether or not that is a logical reason for an ER visit, or if urgent care would have been better. Just wondering, idk
I’d say always go to the ED for broken bones. If it’s bad enough the urgent care will just send you to the ED. And there’s always orthopedic on call in ED
If you are in the US, check your insurance. A lot of them won't cover an urgent care visit, so you are better off going to the ER for this and the reasons Nick Brege mentioned.
I had this exact break in Mar 2020. I went to an urgent care for it. First visit I got a splint until swelling passed, on the 2nd they put me in a full cast. I have crappy insurance in the US and it was still covered.
I work in an ER. A broken bone is a very good reason to come to the ER! Can it be set? Will it need surgery? We don't know until we assess you with scans.
