Religious people believe that God is real and disparage Hawking, while atheists believe that Hawking is right and God does not exist. Instead of cursing each other like that, I think we all have to admit that applying scientific theorems to explain details in religion is impossible. I have seen many atheists insulting God, and also seen many Christians insulting some scientific theorems and other religions, calling them demonic. I view God as the author. He created the world and is a part of every single aspect of His creation, but is not a character himself within the constraints of the story. He is outside of the world where the story takes place. In accordance with this, I don’t think it’s a coincidence that God’s primary source of communication with us was a story (the Bible) that has stood the test of time and laid the foundation for every story that has come since then.
This is what bothem me the most about religion, the straordinary ability to make such an illogic claim and still thinking is a smart one "because magic".

We have faith in God because it’s programmed into the human body, faith is putting your complete trust in something or someone, when living things are born they have faith to find that next meal, to keep on living, same reason for faith in God.

Take eyesight for instance can we say someone has faith in their eyesight because they trust what they see reflects the real world? Well I can answer your question... Imagine a box and inside that box was everything in existence such as the universe, gravity, planets, you, light, laws of physics, everything... Now imagine God outside the box. If he is then this "realm" would have no laws or bounds meaning God would not be tetherd by Earthly limitations. For instance God would do the impossible such as creating a square circle, counting to infinity in a finite time, being beyond infinity, seeing the past and future, everything would all be possible even if its impossible. But you could say what if the universe spawned in this "realm" by chance and theres no God there? Well no matter how you look at it there would be a God because this "realm" would have no limitations meanning it would also be possible of having the capability of thought. Meaning this "Realm" would be God. No matter how humans evolve in science even if we went to other dimensions, created wormholes, teleportation, dyson spheres, traveling, FTL speeds, etc.... we would still be limited to inside the box and never understand God who is outside.

He also states that He is the omega, and alpha which is the beginning and the end. So what makes you think God needs to be “created”, and why do you doubt God? @@the_kleetus-yeeyee48 That’s actually a good question, even tho I don’t have the same belief as the original comment maker, I might be able to shed a little light on it. So to start with, science says the universe has a beginning, that’s not just a claim but one that’s backed up by avidence such as left over BMR of BMI, whatever that was called…that’s something you can observe with telescope. So if we say that the universe had a beginning, the only logical thing is to say would be there must be something outside of the universe…the universe must be dependent on something. Whether you go way back or not…there has at some point to be something that is INDEPENT which makes the start of EVERYTHING. The universe for sure isn’t independent as it is composed of things that are dependent like me and you….dependent+dependent will always be DEPENDENT no matter how many times you count….0+0+0+0+0 will always be 0 and never 1. That independent thing where everything starts with is that what we call GOD and it can’t have something to depend on otherwise it isn’t independent anymore…..Must be self sufficient, not created etc etc if you look at the translation of surah al-Ikhlas., that pretty much describes this indepent being. These are merely deductive reasonings as I am not a professor in this field…but I hope it’s of use to you to understand better.

like in quantum mechanics, God's actions might not be bound by classical logic. God could both lift the stone and not lift it at the same time, depending on how the situation is "observed" or interpreted, similar to how a quantum particle can exist in multiple states simultaneously (superposition).

If god created us, why didn’t he create us all to believe in him? If god is all powerful with no limits, why not make us all believe in him and only him? Why would god create so many different religions and tribes troughtout our history? To comfuse us and send people to hell? Why should i believe your god exist? Other religions have other gods, and claim their god exist but still most of you’ll are denying the existence of any other god. People from other religions, have just as ”good" arguments as you on why their god exist. I respect religion and i understand why people believe. I’ll come back to that later, i’m just telling my opinion on why I don’t believe in any religion. Just because science can’t give me all the answers doesn’t mean i will pick one of many religions and believe thats the whole truth about our lifes and the planet we live on. i will not choose to believe in some god or gods from old books, containing overnatural and symbolic ”stories" from times people knew alot less. its not only gods humans believe or has believed in, no its all sort of overnatural things. For a fact, alot more people believed in gods/overnatural things back in the days. Today we have great technology and other knowlege based on science/physics that really works, and thats the reason i think less people are religious and supernatural believers today. Religions still exist because it goes on in generation after generation where childrens or adults get teached or told by their parents or friends and no one can disprove it 100%. Its like proving to someone that dragons outside the observable universe do not exist. Gods are more believable for us humans because many others believe it and its easier to make sense of it. People want hope when life’s hard, they fear pain and death, they want something spiritual in life, they want something bigger then ourself, even bigger then the universe. The world is so perfectly put together in our eyes, and so many believe the earth and universe has to be designed and created by some high power being called god. But is it really that perfec? how can we know whats perfect or not when we are almost nothing compered to how big the universe is? I can also imagine many being afraid of hell, people say if they don’t believe, they will end up there with pain in elternity. Because they learned about it, thats probably a big reason, people being afraid not to believe. Why should people and old books (from thousands of years ago) clame god’s existens, and not god himself? Do he want people not to believe in him or doubt him, So he can give them maximum pain for ever in hell? Also many innocent people/children and animals suffer great pain and slow deaths. Where is the ALL good and loving part? If something rules this fucked up and unfair planet, how can it not be a evil being? And if not, why would god create us and other animals to be able to feel extreme amount of pain with almost no limits? Both physically and mentally. Not only that but it can happen to anyone INNOCENT or not, religious or not. Even the most fair, loyal and kindest loved one you know can suffer alot . Its likely every person experience alot of pain troughout our lives. For me it makes sense that all religions was made up by people back in the days troughout different rumours, “tellings/stories/whatever", and books that was spread around. They didn’t know how things about life and the world worked in details, so they started estimating and more easly began to believe in what other people said/belived. People for example believed that the sun was a god and that the other stars we can see at night could fall down on us at any moment etc. I think there is something mindblowing about what was going on before the big bang (how and why). And we don’t know it yet. Thats a big reason why i like science, there is more yet to be discovered, experimented with and invented. Its exiting! Now back to religion. Who or what could create god? If not, how could god create himself and why? If he was here in all eternity, why wait so long with creating the universe, earth and us? Wouldn’t we be bored After many years if we lived for ever in heaven? Why would something like god exist at all? Is it so he can enjoy himself, by control the world like its as a reality video game? Try to step out of the, everything is possible for god mindset, and ask yourselfe the biggest questions like that. I know alot of christians for example who don’t believe in hell and alot of others do. If god gave them the truth so why not give them all the same truth? Same goes to all or many other religions. Why would people in The same religion have different views on what’s true or not about the religion and higher power? And why do we have different religions at all? If you where born in (could be any religion) lets say a muslim family, then you would most likely grow up to be a muslim. Thats not just a fact, thats common sense. It could be any religion, think about that. In fact most religious people Are born into their religions and all the religion’s can’t be the truth. And alot of religious people even agrees to me on that, because they believe their religion is the only true one. how can one of them be real, and all the others false? Isn’t it more likely that all of them are false? What about all the isoleted tribes, many of them don’t know anything about our religions. Do they go to hell? Many of them also believes in something bigger then themselfe, but do they call it god? For example people believe and has believed that our sun is a god, and that the other stars we can see are eyes watching us. If there was only one religion in the world, sicence matched up with it, there was much more agreements, things was explained much more in details by the holy boooks and by speaking etc and if there was any kind of proof, i would most likely believe in it. I feel like modern sicence, that we know works, is much more reliable then one of many religions who is all different. I’m talking about reliability and probability. I’m not meaning that science and religion should be looked at as the same thing because its not. I’m only saying i don’t believe in religion because of science and my own rational thinking. Even as a child i couldn’t imagine god being real and I use christianity as an example more because i grew up with it. People also believe and has believed in ghosts, vampiers, ufos, witches, dragons, Big foots, trolls, monsters etc. religion/gods is the most believable for us humans, it makes more sense for many of us. its hard for people to stop believing in their religion when its the biggest part or/and the meaning of life for them. People have different religions for the same reasons that people have different opinions and different tastes, because they were raised in different ways, in different places, in different families, with different friends, at different times, and with different brains. See Religion is so fascinating and interesting. To know God first we have to keep our ego aside and should understand with being humble and curious. I'm not trying to preah or anything but just tried to answer you question. Well we all are confused but see there are many different ways to reach God . Of Course God is one, but different people are introduced different ways by their respective Prophets, like for Christianity Jesus and for Islam Propphet Muhammad. I'm Hindu and my religion is so vast that I don't even know 1 percent of it. But I'll try to answer your few questions as per my religion I may be wrong at some places so I'm sorry for that. 1. You asked why God have sent us here for suffering and doesn't he get bored? So actually God has given us free will to do whatever we want but we'll get result of our karma ( good or bad result based on our deed ) Now why we're sent here? We're eternal entities, we're not bodies but souls. We're wandering in this endless repeated cycle of birth and death out of ignorance. There exists an eternal place where there is no suffering but eternal bliss but we are so indulged in material pleasure that we forget that we're not these bodies and this life and world will end. You know God is so merciful, he always give us directions to seek that path but we out of material egoism neglect it. God doesn't interfere with our mind we make our own choices and neglect that path. God can show us path but we've to walk on that path ourselves. Lust, anger , greed, illusion , pride and envy are one of the reason of downfall of a person. There is also some verses in Bhagvad Gita on mind which might help you for more clearence BG 2.60 *The senses are so strong and impetuous, O Arjuna, that they forcibly carry away the mind even of a man of discrimination who is endeavoring to control them.* BG 2.61 *One who restrains his senses and fixes his consciousness upon Me is known as a man of steady intelligence.* BG 2.62 *While contemplating the objects of the senses, a person develops attachment for them, and from such attachment lust develops, and from lust anger arises.* 2.63 *From anger, delusion arises, and from delusion bewilderment of memory. When memory is bewildered, intelligence is lost, and when intelligence is lost, one falls down again into the material pool.* BG 6.6 *For him who has conquered the mind, the mind is the best of friends; but for one who has failed to do so, his very mind will be the greatest enemy.* BG 6.7 *For one who has conquered the mind, the Supersoul is already reached, for he has attained tranquility." (Bg. 6.7) This material world has been likened to a great forest fire. As in the forest, fire may automatically take place, so in this material world, although we may try to live peacefully, there is always a great conflagration.* I know I haven't answered your questions but I'm pretty sure that there are lots of hidden answers in scriptures if we dedicatedly try to read them. But unfortunately there have been so much changes till today but we still can find authentic copies of scriptures. And there are so many mysterious things ( at least in my religion I don't know about others) but people don't have enough time these days to explore those mysteries. It makes sense to me that people made it up by starting to believe in something many years ago when we couldn’t explain all The evil or just how things work in general, so yeah it must be a god doing it all of it. And how did god Get created, or didn’t he get created? If so how those that makes sense? And why would we have a god? Its like a Big evil jugding unfair boss in my eyes if it Even exists. @@Kudown I don't know about Christianity but it might be because of influence of time or some pseudo religious leaders. You don't need any religion to love God. But there is one event which made me believe in God and that's the only reason I believe in God When my elder sister was in 7th Grade, she happened to be unknowingly stepped on Totka ( a black practice) and she got influence by 5 Ghosts, she could clearly see them and many times they would talk through her. Then my family took her to a Hindu priest who then treated her we stayed at his place for 3 days. I know you won't believe it but those were really hard days for us. She didn't go to school for 4 months. But being Victim we really believe that yes there is some divine power that exists. I agree with you that there is so much confusion in one religion itself but ultimate goal is to reach God. And as per my religion, No one can understand God . He's always mystery. One can understand him only if he's pure devotee of God.

God gave us free will. Some people are evil and influenced by the devil and his demons who have dominion over the earth for now. The whole point of love is that it cannot be forced. God has plenty of angels in heaven who worship him daily all day and night but he created us to be his prized creations above all else. He loves us that much. He sent his son Jesus Christ to die for our sins so that we may have eternal life if we believe in, trust, and follow him. We must also repent for our sins when we commit them by truly trying to be better people and genuinely attempt to change our ways at the least. If god forced us to love him the love would be much less meaningful and personally I think this life is a test to see who is worth of heaven, go ahead and try to think of a better test 🤷♂️
It’s funny how scientists will only answer questions they can’t answer with questions nobody can answer. God isn’t within the boundaries of physics. For example, The levitation is a creature so powerful that he can’t be killed or even scratched by any other being aside from the one who created everything. Some people are too smart that they become their own worst enemy, cause when you have this need to try to make sense of everything you don’t find the time or energy to understand the smallest things. God couldn’t make something bigger than him cause he is everything.
