Steven Paulson has been teaching and preaching for over thirty years. He holds degrees in theology from St. Olaf College, a Master of Divinity from Luther Seminary and a Theological Doctorate from the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago. He has taught at Concordia College, Moorhead, Luther Seminary St. Paul and Luther House of Study. He is the author of many books and articles, co-host of the podcasts Outlaw God and Preaching the Text. He is a Senior Scholar in Residence at 1517.

Freedom devastated by subjection and the fiend..just ..remember the hogs ran down and over the cliff. Reformation ,surely glorious salvation..redemption after penance a new person..

At the 13:45-50 mark, Dr Paulsen said Psalm116:120 which is in error. I believe he meant Psalm 116:10-11 from The Good News Translation (GNT)

To say Timothy was never circumcised by Paul conflicts with scripture. Its an odd situation to be sure, but to say the record was wrong seems wrong. :(

Freedom for what? As Luther says, we are saved and forgiven by Christ’s death and resurrection with a telos/goal/aim in mind: “so that I may may be His own (i.e., Christ's) and live under Him in His kingdom and serve Him (i.e. obey, worship, love, offer right sacrifices to Him) in everlasting righteousness, innocence, and blessedness.” So. Free from the enslaving power of sin to live in accord with the everlasting, perfect will and law of our King: Christ. Which is basically Luther drawing on God’s words to Pharaoh through Moses and applying them to Jesus: “Let my people go that they may serve me.”
