*Pereira wins by left hook* Seagal -"i taught him that" No dummy coaches are not teachers and they never were so. say it with the group so you get it. Coaches are not teachers. They are refiners. They add to what you know to make it better and more refined.
He said in a brasilian interview, that Seagal teach a detail to not elevate the knee so much in the front kick, trhows the leg like a spear, in one single movimet, also the position of the foot in the end of the kick, changes the power and distance. Thats what he said in a podcast
Judo Gene LeBell choked Segal out and made him shit his pants after the coked up kid was bragging and acting a fool. Steven Segall couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag to get to a dozen doughnuts. He's a traitor and a liar and a rapist. @@kigrey3994
I love how Pereira and team are still super respectful even though steve is in many ways delusional -- well-mannered and educated guys down there in Brazil. Respect
In what way is he delusional or are you just a victim of youtube media bias? lmfao Actually provide evidence and reasoning or just make an assertion based on your echochamber mentality.
@@symbolsarenotreality4595 seagull soiled himself and still claims he can ‘kill’ somebody with one strike lmaooooo peak delusion just like u. See u at the mcdojo bro!
It also looks like he's done quite a bit of studying at Winchell's, Yum Yum, and Mr. Donuts. I'm sure after studying, several Double Doubles from In-N-Out.
blocking & checking which Alex does are to different things ,,you folks have no clue ? karate folks block ie Uriah Hall vs Chris Weidman ,Uriah blocked & snapped chris leg ,,Alex is muay tai he checks he lifts his leg & that still hurts & causes damage he is telling him to block not check ,,gee learn the game..
@@jonsmith6982Its a joke homie. I appreciate that you learned a second language. But no one here takes Segal seriously. Well at least 99% of the comments.
To be fair the blocking he is showing comes from instinctive reflexes. If you see children fighting or play fighting, you'll see them move their legs the same way. Why is that a good thing? Because it's natural, and instinctive, you can easily train yourself to do it. Many fighters have had their leg broken just because they tanked a kick rather than providing an active defense like that. Tanking a kick really only works against a vastly weaker opponent, but even in that case it would be better to use your momentum to take the wind out of their sails. Worst case scenario your opponent is going to hurt their feet because they can't be certain where or how it's going to land.
3 extremely humble, open-minded men. Take what you can and throw the rest out. @Alexpereira, you are an explorary man and fighter. May many follow your example, and may god watch over you.🥊🥋💪🏼
Tem nada mano kkkk tudo atuação. Poatan foi respeitoso demais. Acho q ñ aprendeu quase nada aí. Parece aqueles cara q ensinam autodefesa naqueles shorts do RU-vid.
Anderson Silva right after his fight inside the Octagon said Steven Seagal taught him the kick during fight camp. The video itself is on RU-vid for the whole world to see. Right after that Anderson Silva former manager said he saw Steven teach [edit: Anderson] the correct technique during fight camp. Trolls online can shit on Seagal all they want but real martial artists know Steven Seagal is a legit Martial Artist. Not an mma fighter, but a legit Martial Artist.
He and his trainers wouldnt waste their time and let me tell ya something dummy. That's not how it goes. He isn't the one that calls the shots in the training. It was his manager.
Adorei a postura do Alex.
@@LC-jq7vnSeagal was a real life cop fxck the movies 😂💯 I respect him for that, no way you were gonna be a cop if your techniques doesn't work in real life.
I couldn't stop laughing when he said he could makes Alex's punches way more harder and even deadly. Then he said does he have to be filming that 😂😂😂😂 he didn't want the absurdity to be seen by everyone 😂😂😂.
best way is to film yourself and then slow the footage down, analyse the footage to see how you can improve movement and use less wasted movement or improve technique. I do movement coaching like ido portal does I help some athletes improve their movement
@@gracejoy3737 how many UFC fighters have actually asked him for advice.... is he legit? yes.... has he massively overblown his status, probably... but I don't think Alex was trolling him here. You are just caught up in the standard internet responses..... but why have UFC fighters spoke to him as much as they ? laugh and giggles?
Muito legal, Steven teaching Poatã. It means Steven admires our best warrior… The real art deserves being transported to men that respect the art, the sport, the superior technique, honoring top supreme codices
Alex I feel is trolling by showing us his training for Jamahal Hill 😂 Anderson Silva did the same thing back with Chael the funny part is Seagal had no idea too 😂😂😂
@@toemasmeems it surely feels like troll. Especially around the 24 minute mark and onwards where the whole team seem to be "impressed' with the neck/throat hit which I don't think is legal in MMA or Boxing for that matter. And the punch with finger bone pointing to the throat.
Don't forget that here in Brazil, we Brazilians are very fond of Steven Seagal because of his films. We have a great deal of respect for him and, of course, we admire the acting work he has produced.
The respect Alex shows is incredible. I am a pretty big Segal doubter, but that does not mean he has not learned a few techniques that will benefit Alex. The respect and humbleness is what makes Alex a PEOPLES champ!
LMFAO MMA coaches and boxing coaches repeat basic stuff all the time. So STFU with your echochamber anti steven seagull bias. Is that the best smear you could come up with? Oh he said something really basic and I got upset lmfao
Because a lot of what he's teaching them is actually useful. Did you watch any of it or did you just decide to jump on the bandwagon because the rest of the net told you to?
@@Billy-bc8pk I did Martial Arts for over 40 years. I am not claiming to be some tough dude like he does. Clearly, you have no clue since you judged me without knowledge, nor do you have a background to suggest that they are going to apply what he taught them. Aikido sucks on the street. Do you want to defend yourself, boxing and BJJ...or kickboxing and BJJ.... BJJ has to be there , it is an essential element....Krav Maga ...etc.... Traditional Martial Art are good , but not good enough on the streets. You can have an excellent kickboxing switching from Taekwondo, you just going to be taking and giving more hits. Now, go worship your Idol
@@RS-kq9rrNo one serious says they use BJJ on the streets. In fact, every actual serious martial artist will tell you it's the one thing you DO NOT use in the streets because of how vulnerable it leaves you. Judo, wrestling, boxing, kickboxing, Tae Kwon Do, and yes, even Aikido are all better for the streets because they don't leave you as vulnerable. And yes, you can even find videos here on this platform of people using Aikido in the streets, mostly bouncers and security guards.
@@user-hw6uk5bi6i He can't do the moves better than Seagal. Segal is hitting way harder without trying and Alex was told by his partner that it isn't hard as Seagal's.
@@bigghuncho6181 Nope. Anderson Silva applied the same kick against Vitor Belfort and knocked him out. Haven´t you see it? Seagal teched him that kick.
Actually some of the things he showed them it will be good for Poatan it wasnt complete bullshit that elbow thing and front kick are going to be used 100%
Sadly, you completely missed the "point" about Seagal; before becoming an "actor," he was an "instructor." With a 7th-dan black belt in aikido and a robust knowledge of other martial arts, Seagal has expertise, which is why many UFC and martial artists seek him out. Keep in mind, Seagal's aikido "forms" drills, as with all martial arts, only represent "fake" fighting, as demonstrated by Bruce Lee, Chuch Norris, Jimmy Wang Yu; Donnie Yen, Jeff Speakman, etc. So criticism of Seagal's is both bias and misplaced. Despite your criticism and ridicule, you cannot diminish Seagal's prowess, competence, and mastery.
A lot of people are making fun of him and he deserves it. But that last two Brazilian fighters that trained with him used that spear like front kick that he showed them to KO his opponents. It's on tape so we should be honest about that. The one move I liked that he showed him was the tip of the elbow striking on the inside. I guess I'm the only one that enjoyed watching the exchange of information?
The fact that people believe an obese notorious bullshit artist who can barely lift his leg to his waist let alone above it taught Anderson Silva and Lyoto Machida aka 2 of the best kickboxers in UFC history how to throw a front kick is absurd. The last time Seagal threw a kick with bad intentions at a man, it was on a film set. We all know how he likes to treat his stunt performers.
“does he have to be filming now” then the rest of the video is like behind seagal at a lower angle 😭😭. this shit is SO funny alex is a legend for dropping this 💀
There's nothing funny about hanging out with Seagal. He's a well-known rapist in Hollywood, and fled to Russia to escape the media attention. He is a sick dude.
same . he is verry humble and after big fights he trains with his ex oponents and trades techniques with them, instead of keeping it secret like some fighters that are scared . he reminds me of gsp in his way of thinking of the sport
I love how much respect fighters have for steven. They grew up watching him and even tho they all know what he teaches is bullshit, they still love spending time with him.
Baita Mestre!!!
Respect AikiDo. I learned AikiDo too. Steven, as one of the great masters, knows hundreds of techniques, tens of ways to implement each single move. I don't know how they develop this ability but they are really strong and can't be countered. AikiDo masters possess huge amounts of practical knowledge. Not just technical moves, but in combination with anatomy and psychology. The whole amount of knowledge completely removes gaps and borders between their techniques, they can transform one into another in a single move, you can't catch their moves or counter them because they are that fast. Their moves are never just simple straight kicks or punches. You think he does one thing but he tricks you into a tactical trap and performs some combination that literally suppresses your move to zero efficiency and it takes half a second. But you have to train one on one with them to see that. The only weak side is that AikiDo does not train you to be competitive to heavy weigth opponents.
@@EmmaDeepHarmony Sorry, I have problem with our claim. As someone that used to participate in competitions (Karate an Muay Thai, I know that these techniques are impossible to implement in a real fight or even in a competition. It is impossible to impellent any of these techniques unless you have already a very big advantage (lets say you already knocked his air and he is struggling to breath on something else that already gives you a very big advantage.
@@EmmaDeepHarmony Sorry, your explanation doesn’t convince me. It sounds equivalent to what the world used to think about the Russian army. The reality is that they had the biggest military if you count tanks but when the fight started, the losses were appalling because they didn’t have enough experience on the battlefield. And some things sound great when you are planning, but just don’t work the way you thought on the battlefield. Aikido is the same. It is too much theory that works well when you practice, but in reality, many parts of it will probably will not work as planned. The only way to be sure is keep testing on an actual fight. Aikido doesn’t do that.
Seagal knows his stuff. He has honed a number of techniques to perfection. He is very fast for his age or rather still has the right timing. Thanks to him, among other things, many martial arts have been spread. Seagal is known for his aikido, leaving aside the fact that his aikido is modified for practicality (tenshin aikido) on the street. However, before he started training in aikido, he earned a black belt in karate. You can find pictures of him with Fumio Demura, for example. He recently received an honorary 7th dan in Kyokushin Karate. I like to watch his techniques because a lot is taken from sword fighting (kendo, where he also holds a black belt).
