Count me as one more who believes that Stevens is likely the most under appreciated musician today. There are few as talented, studied and experienced as him, and few as humble. He has my respect.

Ultimately one of the best guitarists ever. Such a crisp clean sound and he makes it look effortless. God Bless You Steve and Thank You for the amazing guitar playing that made the song.

Gotta love Steve. Look all these drug related comments are stupid! He's kept his career going and still playing! Anybody (as I know) can't keep a career going. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Stevens in the 80's when he and Billy idol were all over the place, and he despised drug culture. Here's a good one, I was a bellman at a hotel in AZ when the Entourage stayed there, I went up to his room to meet him, he said "you play guitar?) I said "yes". He said play me something, he had his Barney rubble hamer guitar. I jammed some licks " totally intimidated" but he said "cool"! I thought this guy has met with so many people like me, but when I was leaving he " what was that cool riff you were jamming on" ? It was a old Albert king riff. He said " that's freaking cool" ! And I showed him how I did it. Totally a moment in my life. He's a great guy and musician. God bless him.

Steve is consistently the best overall guitar player for live and studio work, as his knowledge base is unbelievable and his onstage sound presence is just surreal not to mention his songwriting and riff ability think Top Gun and Harold Faltemeyer....Steve does it all..Rock/ Classical/Synth-Guitar and backing Keyboard Sounds ....if I had to hire one guitar player....Steve Steven's...Period..😃😃😃

Steve needs no introduction really. On vince neils"exposed" kicked everybody's ass(just one example). As a proud Greek i feel so good that a guy who speaks only through his work, got the exposure and recognition he deserves..gus g!!!!!!!!!!

I've said this before, Steve's idol Eddie Van Halen plays great guitar. Steve Stevens plays great SONGs on his guitar, if I had just 1% of his ability.

It was obvious that Mr Stevens is a vastly talented guitarist, certainly compared with the guy alongside him in this clip, who himself was not bad. Stevens plays with finesse without histrionics, and gets a great tone with ease.

'Fingers' may not get the global big management merchandising and marketing of the most over rated guitarist I have ever seen in Hudson/Slash, and he is the NIKE of 'Mad Men' marketing, but Steve has won a Grammy for fucks sake and has been playing brilliant and extremely versatile guitar for decades. Hudson was still in high school when SS was making the world aware of what he had. His relationship with God, sorry the late EVH includes one of the truly nicest stories I have heard. Steve was doodling away one day on stage sound check with one of Eddie's guitars, Eddie saw him and said to Steve "oh you like that one eh"? Some time later Steve was at home when a truck rocked up and inside were EVH guitars and amps. S small factual story but one that shows how deep their connection was, and how even the greatest knew SS was the shit.
