Taylor Swift is one of the few contemporary young pop artists that I respect. But I never thought about the question how a cover of one of her songs by my personal music hero would sound like. Well, what can I say? Well done, Steven!

Love the arrangement of a pretty good “story song”. People seem to knock Taylor Swift but she is a pretty good introspective songwriter along side Lana Del Ray. The lyrics are awesome too! Wilson’s interpretation is pretty freaking good IMO. He never disappoints and his solo studio style is shining through.

Folklore is one of the best albums released this year.

To be constantly criticized yet keeping afloat by holding on to the variety of music that the world has to offer. His persistence by drowning the negativism at the cost of losing many entitled followers. That is something. That is truly being true to self. Salty people should take a back seat for once. I don’t really understand these comments. For years and years he has been doing this. He used to be infleced by the different music generes. You would never hear The Sky Moves Sideways or Up The Downstair would if he was not listening a trip hop, and techno at some stage. Almost the whole Blackfield catalogue are pop songs.

To everyone who just knows Taylor Swift for her radio hits, the two albums she released this year are different. Sure, they're still poppy, but they're much more creative and inspired than what you hear on the radio. The style is actually often very similar to what Steven has been into, which is why this cover makes total sense.

Great cover, I'm so glad that someone from the prog fraternity has recognised how good Taylor Swift is, and how good the folklore album is. It will be a much better world if we can all see outside of our own bubbles and recognise achievements beyond our own noses. This is wonderful! Though prog is a significant segment of my musical diet (and though I had never bought a Taylor Swift record previously), the “folklore” record got me through the last half of 2020. It was exactly what my soul needed. And now I see that Steven not only appreciated it, but also made this cover....so, so cool.

I really like Taylor Swift folklore album. The production and song writing on it is very good. It gives me the Emmylou Harris Wrecking ball vibe. Different but similar to my ears. Must be the reverbs

Steven, I discovered you fifteen years ago with Porcupine Tree, what a slap! what a Tsunami! Then I followed your solo career and your many projects: Re slap !!! You must be hyperactive and a workaholic ... I am 62 years old and I have not yet understood why this discovery was so late. I love your music, your work, it is filled with melodies that have entered my soul forever. it's a musical fireworks display, rock, prog rock, metal, pop rock even pop come together with incredible logic and consistency. You never fall into monotony, you are constantly in musical innovation, your creative power is phenomenal. I have often heard you say: "I am not an ace of the guitar" me, I affirm the opposite your way of playing is unique imprint of a sensitivity and an emotion that only you are able to transcribe, you literally make your guitar sing for me you are on the contrary a true virtuoso. Your solos, your rifs, your rhythm are fantastic, in concert everything seems easy and limpid as logic it is really impressive. These concerts are a real delight, what mastery, what professionalism! Recently I read your interview on radiometal.com where you say that you have been around the guitar basically that it does not bring you anything anymore, I felt a lot of pain reading that. For me Steven Wilson cannot think that, a creator like you cannot be silent on a guitar it is impossible. Of course I find your desire to constantly evolve formidable and legitimate and this path will apparently pass through less guitar or even no guitar. But from the bottom of my heart I hope this will only be a parenthesis. I can't wait to discover your future Album, but I am also impatient to be able to hear and see new creations with a guitar in your hands :) I like a lot of musical styles, it goes from Who to the cure, pink Floyd, ride ... But really for about fifteen years, they seem to me a little bland, the fault of STEVEN WILSON and all his work.
