Incredible instrumental by Steven Wilson. I totally loved it. This song is track number 5 from Steven Wilson's 4 ½, his amazing new EP released on 22nd January 2016.
+Marcin Koczorowski Dokładnie! Dark matter, My book of regrets, Dont hate me czy Sound of Muzak były niezłe, ale po Vermilioncore byłem już w muzycznym niebie :D
+Jan Bazylak i don't know what Steven Wilson does to make his live performances so much better than the studio version, I saw him playing this song in Mexico a mont hago and i completely agree with you, it sounded brilliant.
+Ayur Bhatta Yes, indeed, by far my favorite track on this new E.P., it sounds very different to all other Steven Wilson's music, I loved it since the very first time I played it. This guy always has something awesome to please his fans.
this is interesting music. I like it. sw has so many ideas, and he tries them all. I have no problem with that. I discovered pt just two years ago, and was hooked by "arriving somewhere..", the live performance. so after listening to every single pt song I could find, and loving them all, and still not being finished, I started to listen to his solo or other works. I think there will always be a bit of melancholy about pt being finished, because the band has such magic together, and the music live is so tight, and so damn good, that you cannot help but be a bit sad that they don't do what they were doing then anymore. but as long as I can still blast it at high volume and don't ever have to stop revisiting the great and magical band that was pt, I can listen to his other work as well, and enjoy it in a different way. such talent. you can't blame them for moving on. how many times did I move on in my own life? many! sw would be bored if he'd just been in one band. boredom is a soul crusher.
+stisnat1 I get what you mean, he always create something entirely new, I mean, I would never have expected this to come from Steven Wilson, this song is quite odd for him, (that doesn't mean is not awesome) each one of his songs it's like hearing different musicians, but it's just one.
+Robin Boosmann It must have been great being able to see this masterpiece played live. I wish they play it here in mexico City when he gives his concert in march.
Rupti Doolooroodoo Let's just hope Steven surprises us with another PT album in the near future. In the meantime, I'll be enjoying his excellent solo records.
Insurgents, Grace for Drowning ,The Raven That Refused to Sing (And Other Stories) , Hand. Cannot.
Saluti
+Martin Votava The Porcupine Tree phase is over, it was incredible and beautiful, but it's done, Steven Wilson himself stated that everything that could have been done with Porcupine Tree has been done indeed, it's done. There are 10 records of that phase to keep enjoying, the possibilities of that band have been totally exploited, so let Steven Wilson do the amazing music he wants and he has been giving to us, he es exploring different sounds and different music, which I consider is great. If you don't want him, just stop listening to his upcoming records and keep listening to Porcupine Tree's material.
+Rarity Sparkle I can't just let him go.. I love this guy but I'm convinced all this super technique playing spoil one little thing and that is melodies. For me that is what made him so different and unique! He thinks he's doing a great art now and he's right in some ways but for me is more ordinary then ever.... And we should stop him :D
+Martin Votava I guess it is matter of tastes, since I consider his melodies to be better in his solo carrier than the Porcupine Tree's ones. As with being "ordinary" I must disagree on that one, he is improving a lot on stepping out of what's been done in prog-metal/prog-rock community nowadays, which I hear more oriented to Porcupine Tree… i strongly believe be would become ordinary if Porcupine Tree continued, because most bands kind of sound very similar to how they used to sound. Nothing to do with that, but I find this track very Porcupine-Treeish.
