You can add the dried leaves to a plastic bag to crush it instead, to not have it fly around in the air, and then pour it into the jar.

The sweet-leaved raspberry (Rubus suavissimus) also has the same use,which is also frost-resistant compared to stevia. According to traditional Chinese medicine,it is used to make a medicinal drink known as Sweet tea Tian-cha. The raspberry version of steviol, called rubusoside, provides the sweet taste of the leaves of this raspberry.

😄😄The Sweetleaf raspberry - Lubera Yes, they also describe that in their article. After all, it is the same as for Gynostemma pentaphyllum, Cyclanthera pedata, Acer palmatum..

Thank you for sharing. I'm growing stevia for the first time. I started from seeds in late January. The plants look great, and I've been eating the leaves straight off the plant when I'm in my garden. Can't wait to harvest and dehydrate.

I would let the plant wake up a little more, harvest around 8 or 9 am would be perfect.

Tnx for useful information, lm from Croatia, Europe, this is my first year to grow stevia❤now in October my stevia going to have flavers so lm waiting for seeds. I hope! Do you cut stevia after she flavers?
@EverythingHomemadewithRita
@EverythingHomemadewithRita 10 месяцев назад
Hello! Yes you can cut stevia after it flowers, it will grow for a bit and then reflower again. Once they start to flower it is hard to stop them. Better to either take a cutting after you trim it to start over or start with a young plant.

What is the shelf life from the time you harvest and placed it for storage?
@EverythingHomemadewithRita
@EverythingHomemadewithRita 6 месяцев назад
Dried properly, and stored in a dark cool room a couple of years. I had such a big harvest that some of my dried leaves are now almost 2 years old and they are like the day I stored them.

Do you put dry green leaves in your coffee and baked goods? Or break it down more?
@EverythingHomemadewithRita
@EverythingHomemadewithRita Год назад
I make extract out of the dried leaves and then use the extract in drinks and baked goods. I do have a video I made, how to make stevia extract and I also have a cookbook that has this recipe and 160 recipes on how you can use it in baked goods. Check out www.everything-homemade.com for the cookbooks. They come in paperback and ebook form.

I had 2 plants this yeat. They weren't bushy like yours. They grew tall with a thick trunk. They were in pots. First year attempting this. Can you tell me what went wrong? Thank you or anyone who might have an answer.
@EverythingHomemadewithRita
@EverythingHomemadewithRita 9 месяцев назад
There could be a couple of reasons. One the plant was not punched off the top so the plant just kept grow tall nd not bush out. Or there is a couple of other varieties of stevia that are a foot taller than mine. That can play a roll. But most of the time is the plant grow tall fast and not cut back to bush out.

I have measly bugs on my plant. How can I get rid of them? Will they affect my other plants? I have peppers and tomatoes and cantaloupe.

Do some research on Neem oil. I would dilute the oil with a water, add a drop of dish soap and spray it on the plants. Thats what I would do.

There is an excellent video on RU-vid on the excellent uses for distilled white vinegar, and the gentleman who is the content provider, with millions of viewers and subscribers, explained how to use Distilled White Vinegar, and water, and few drops of very mild washing up liquid, Preferably Use Castile Liquid Soap if you have it, with the ratio of 1 part white vinegar to 4 Parts Filtered Water, and he explained that it is excellent to use this formulation, if you don't have NEEM Oil. I hope it will be of some help.

Once stored, how long does it keep? First time growing… I water it every day.. leaves keep drying up…! 🤔 What am I doing wrong.
@EverythingHomemadewithRita
@EverythingHomemadewithRita Год назад
Hard to say, either you are over watering them, or maybe your soil is too sandy and draining too well and the plants are just too dry.
