Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks, sound awesome together. They are 2 icons playing on stage and having a fun time. You can see it in the performance 🎉🎉. They come each other perfectly 🎉🎉
I am religious. I wasn't raised in any religion, because we were always moving when I was a kid and didn't get involved in any church. But I believe there have been angels with me constantly through these last 20 years, or I wouldn't be alive. I pray a lot. In the last few years I've asked for things from God, and He's given them to me. And there were things I thought were gonna kill me, and He fixed them....I was destroying this gift that God gave me and asked for help. Now I'm happy, even outside my music, and enjoying my life. - Stevie Nicks, Billboard Magazine (April 18, 1998)[180]
He looked very humble and gracious or vise versa she looked very gracious and humble. Either way, they are both legends! Don Henley is hard to replace on such a famous song.
I saw Rod Stewart in concert in San Diego, California in 1989. I was 29 years old & pregnant with my 3rd child. I was singing & dancing like a teenager.
The media just doesn't let unearthly talent like these two out in the forefront like they used to. Nowadays it's all just "bling bling", talking over a CD backdrop, and "dropped beats". Makes me kind of sad to wonder how much real, genuine music and talent we've all missed because of it.
Stevie You have and will always be my hero ,if all women were to embrace and aspire to you the world would truly be a wonderful place and its is that much better having you in it . I grew up listening to your lyrics my daughters youngest being 19 all luv you and truly feel your music as I have . Now my granddaughter aged 2 today even shakes her little tutu around to your music .she Luvz go your own way and silver springs always calms her down . Thank you Stevie God bless
I think it's amazing when Rod is doing his solo parts how Stevie stands a little bit behind him just so not to over shadow him even though it's her song and she's just as an even big star as he is, very admiral. I also had the pleasure of seeing Stevie live last night here in Melbourne, Australia with David Stewart. At 63 she is still as beautiful and brilliant as ever, rock on Ms Nicks we love you!!
Actually I saw stevie and rod in concert , I love stevie nicks she is my fav of all time and I like rod ! Rod Stewart put on a better concert ! Believe it r not ! He was dancing , etcetera !! I couldn't believe it !! Love them both , to see both legends in one concert was an honor !! I also saw Reba and George strait ! My fav rock , and country !!
I've always loved this song......................what a treat seeing Rod Stewart singing with Stevie Nicks...........and being a really good sport about it
That was for sure one of the best nights of my life. Loving Stevie Nicks and Rod Stewart it couldn't have been better. Money well spent and a memory I'll never forget. Glad Stevie's Mother was there for her part of the show. Not many nights will ever top that one!
I appreciated it.. I grew up being a HUGE fan of Rod.. His Posters were all over my bedroom... seen him in concert about 3 times... Give the man a break he is in his 70's. Don't knock him.
Stevie Nicks has always been my female Idol! my mom was a big Fleetwood Mac fan! The songs are like lullabies to me! I started loving Stevie because I am a vocalist and also she's so hot! I will always be a fan ! No im not gay! lol I appreciate Stevie for her confidence and she's so down to earth! I love you Stevie and you're beautiful inside and out!
I love her fashion style - and of course, her voice! I've seen her twice live and hope for at least one more time before I die. I adore her music so much and it's a privilege, as a singer and musician, to play and sing her songs...it's why I learned the craft and her music has underpinned my life. xox love you forever, Stevie!
There it is , the million dollar smile 😊 Great duet . Stevie Nicks 💐 just a phenomenal singer and writer and alongside her is Rod Stewart singing that song leather and lace. Two very talented people 🌹
Rod was sick. I think he felt sorry for her and didn't want to overshadow her song. So he hung back anyone that's has seen Rod knows he's very gracious. In my opinion he could have ran away with it but he didn't.
I recall her saying that Rod Stewart never wanted to rehearse, though she herself rehearses a lot. To me, his performance seems like a read-the-teleprompter-and-wing-it situation. He didn't know how to phrase the lyrics--some of that could seem like improvisation but for the most part, it was clear he didn't really know the melody. The inching-her-knickers down pantomime (forgive the half-pun) was pretty funny, and I loved how she was cracking up for the remainder of the song.
I've seen better versions of this duet- when she does it with Don Henley of course, and others. However, they seem to be having fun and I love them both. Saw Rod in concert in his "If you think I'm Sexy" days...almost 40 years ago, gulp! Where does time go!!?? I'm 55, and while I look older than I did and have more aches and pains, I still feel so young on the inside and music can still move me in the same way. I'm sure Rod, Stevie and other older rockers we never thought would be rocking on in 2016 still feel young at heart too. And I'm so glad they've continued to sing their old songs as well as make new music. With Stevie more than anyone, she really honours all those great songs she wrote. As she sings them, you can tell she still loves her music. I think it's because she's always written from the heart and so the words still resonate for her although the meaning attached to them may have changed and been added to throughout the years.
A Stevie Nicks 20.1.22 Marina Assanti
This tour was beyond unreal to experience. Two legends together.Beautiful song.It was a memory forever to listen to them sing this and have fun.Rod isn't L.Buckingham,I thought it was great.
Oh, man. They both mailed this one in. I think Stevie can only sing this with Don Henley and as for Rod, he left it all back in the 70's. I'm sorry I saw it.
She most def has more "star power" than Rod! She has class and never pulls out the "I'm a star bit"....a true original always has been and always will be. Love you Stevie!
The FABULOUS ROD STEWART & STEVIE make a Perfect pair/duo as they have sultry, unique voices...not to mention sexy! ROD just cannot resist being irresistibly cute/funny.
We went to see Rod in concert in the late 1990's - and during the show he invites two women onto the stage to sing along and during the song one of them reaches over and grabs his personals - he was really angered and they were quickly exited off the stage --
@jr774 In my opinion she is actually the better singer, but he has more star power. But bless her heart for allowing him to be the "star" of the show when all of us in Phoenix really wanted it to be Stevie's show.
@scarlettdreams You are very welcome! Yes, Rod did have the flu, poor guy. But he performed well despite being sick. But I was there more for Stevie since I've seen Rod many times before.
@scotto2201 I don't recall since it's been too long ago. You can google Rod Stewart, Stevie Nicks setlist Phoenix and see what comes up. I do that all the time before I upload my videos to make sure I've got the titles correct.
Such a great song which Stevie just about carries off live. Unfortunately, Rod is found wanting again. Such a fall from grace. Check out Rod with the Faces. One of the great voices of all time.
Wow. Before I listened to this my hopes were through the roof……..but. Either she was drunk or stoned Rod definitely knew it and also mailed in his effort. Poor performance from 2 absolute legends. Hmmmmm….what could have been
