Stevie had a very mystical, ethereal….sometimes fey, stage persona. An excellent choice for reaction would be the live performance of the song Rhiannon on the show Midnight Special. Because it’s an old TV show, no problem with blocking.
She is magical!! 😉 Fun fact: Stevie Nicks is the first female inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame twice. First for Fleetwood Mac then her solo career. She can still kill it on the stage too!
This was released in 1982. I was 11!! Loved this song!! Plus “Stop draggin’ my heart around” with Tom Petty! Classic! Another stellar reaction Hector! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
First woman to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice! Stevie is a legend! She has some live videos on here from just a few years ago and she still sounds phenomenal! I believe she's in her 70's now.
It just does not get much better than Stevie!! Beautiful woman, beautiful voice & beautifully talented!! She's my favorite female singer!! Thank you for this reaction!!!!!!
I heard Stevie Nicks for the first time when I was 6 years old back in 1976-77. I instantly realized what love was. She has not yet released me from her spell. I am capitvated by that voice and those brown eyes.
Stevie Nicks writes her own music. She is the singer for Fleetwood Mac and she also has her own solo career. She is a prolific song writer. She is badass!
The lady singing the song in Stranger things is Kate Bush, who was discovered by David Gilmore of Pink Floyd. She's amazing, definitely recommend you check her out for a reaction video!
And Stevie Nicks is a big fan of Kate Bush. She actually chose Kate’s song “Running Up That Hill” (the song used in Stranger Things) to introduce her fans to on a tv show.
And the inventor of that marvelous guitar riff, which powers the song, is the inimitable studio and touring guitarist Waddy Wachtel. Just wanted to give him a shout out. So many “side men” don’t get the creds they deserve, and Waddy is one of the best…….Keith Richards and Stevie and many others say so! 😉
Stevie is a living legend! Enjoying all of your reactions to the music of my life! I'd like to suggest Steely Dan, you will be blown away by all of the samples that you recognize and will now know and love where they came from. Dan fans will show up in droves and some can be very opinionated about they way the music should be enjoyed. Just hold steady to what feels right to you! "Haters go fuck oneself!!"
Steely Dan is an awesome suggestion! So many great tracks like "Don't Take Me Alive", "Royal Scam" (my personal favorite), "Any Major Dude Will Tell You"...the list is endless.
@@brainsqueezereactionsIt is Totally as sign!!! Ironically, the origin of the name may acutally make you blush! But, I'll let you look that up on your own! Steely Dan are one of the most sampled artists in hip hop, I believe I read somewhere that the song "Peg" has been sampled dozens of times. Dan fans will come and they will give you the facts about this extraordinary group of musicians and producers. Their ablums are regarded for their (literally)Perfect production values as much as their amazing songs. the album Aja (pronounced Asia) is an awesome start...pick any song. the well is deep and wide!
When Pinky was referring to “guitar shit”, he meant that driving riff through the whole song. You know how hard it is to keep that up for minutes on end in concert? I’ve seen vids where Stevie takes her sweet time coming on stage….like minutes after the song has started, and Waddy has to keep that riff going through Stevie getting on stage …..hugging her backup singers etc…..and I’m thinking, Holy hell, he must have great muscles in his right arm!
Your reactions take me back to my youth and hearing all these great songs for the first time. You can’t go wrong with any Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Credance Clearwater Revival, Fleetwood Mac or any one of a dozen great groups. Our problem back then was that there were so many great songs that some of them slipped past the goalie. Alvin Lee’s “The Bluest Blues” and “I’d Love To Change The World” is a great example. If you like the guitarist David Gilmour from Pink Floyd, you’ll like Alvin Lee…trust me!!! The other song you’ll wig out on and I hesitate to recommend to you because I’m not sure if your heart can take it, is from a group called Grand Funk Railroad and is the live version of their song “Inside Looking Out”. I sat there slack jawed stupid when the song was over! Most people won’t recommend you these songs because they don’t know them so they’ll get to hear them for the first time right along with you but both these bands were huge back in the 70’s. The rabbit hole isn’t as deep with these groups but definitely worth poking around in for a few songs.
Just saw her live last month in The Woodlands, Texas and she killed it. You’d never know she was 75 years old. You should check out some of the HUGE hit Fleetwood Mac tunes that she sings lead on like Dreams, Gypsy, or Rhiannon. Trust me on those.
Oh my gosh, that song you were talking about from stranger things is called running up that hill by Kate bush, you must react to some Kate bush my dude ♥️
I love Stevie Nicks. Here’s her big songs solo & with Fleetwood Mac. Solo: “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” ~ a collaboration with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. You get more Stevie & meet Tom Petty, another fave of mine. “Talk To Me” ~ her biggest solo hit, a #1 song. “Stand Back” ~ she heard Prince’s song “Little Red Corvette” on the radio in the car on her honeymoon and started singing her own song over it. She later asked Prince if she could use the same music. He not only said yes, he fucking recorded it with her! With Fleetwood Mac: “Landslide” ~a song about growing older and about growing away from Lindsay. “Rhiannon” ~a song about a Welsh witch. This one set her persona and why she’s been called the Witch. “Gold Dust Woman” ~ my personal favorite & a song I perform. This is another break up with Lindsay song, but also is about her own then cocaine addiction but made as if it’s someone else she’s singing too instead of herself.
Finally you have become my favorite reactor. I’ve been watching your Fleetwood Mac reactions waiting for you to catch the brilliance that is Stevie Nicks she has so many solo songs that are insane. Most uniquely beautiful voice I’ve ever heard. Enjoy and keep doing what your doing you kick ass Hector!!!!
It’s the pairing of that soaring voice down into a really low, breathy but semi aggressive tone that does it. It’s not blues really but she wears her emotions on her sleeve and it’s almost like a Howlin Wolf kind of attack. And then she wraps it almost literally in flowing lace and magic.
He probably meant the chugging guitar riff that spills through the entire track 🤷🏼♂️ Stevie Nicks is the queen, first woman nominated in to the rock and roll hall of fame twice!! Amazing voice
Ooooh I was just hoping you'd do this one the other day! Glad you and little buddy are doing better! I love Stevie! I would love to see you do Seven Wonders by her. It was used in American Horror Story and I fell in love immediately
Ahh Stevie an amazing stage presence.... The Rumors album you have listened to she wore that black outfit as only she did. Our Rock Chick voice...... Cheers
This is the song! Too many times I totally lost it dancing and singing to this, even more passion when I’d had a vodka or three. In the film School of Rock, the head mistress sings along to it in the cafe….. that’s me every time too 😂
The back story to this song is great. Nicks was talking to Tom Perry’s wife about when she met him. She said, in a strong Southern accent- the AGE of seventeen…
#BrainSqueezeReactions Did you notice after the "Just like a white wing dove, Sings as song sounds like she is singing" WOO Baby WOO I say WOO (The WOO is to simulate the coo sound that a dove actually makes.)
man I had such a crush on Stevie back in the 70's. A smoking hot little blonde girl with an amazing voice who likes to party, what's not to love, lol. tons of hits "Gold Dust Women" has always been a favorite of mine
This song always makes me think of School of Rock. That's one you should see if you haven't already. It's hilarious and kid friendly. Happy winter solstice to you. 🎄
Please please do Stevie's version of "LANDSLIDE". That whole album is exquisitely ethereal. Her voice makes something inside go 🤯 she could seduce God himself with her voice. 😈 She's been turning on teen-age boys for decades with that sultry sound. Hmmmm down boy.
Yes Brother Squeeze picked a banger 💥💯🔥🙌 Every time I hear this song it gets stuck in my head...not a bad thing at all!!!! Stevie has one of the most unique beautiful voices EVER!!! What do you mean you can't add anymore artists 🤣🤣 there's sooooo sooooo many!!!
Another great classic from Fleetwood Mac! You, I, and everyone and anyone else know the great taste in music when you hear the great songs like this. My fam used to jam the hell out of this track on the radio 📻 while I just listened. It’s that great. Thanks so much for sharing your and its a like and thumbs up.😄👍#fleetwoodmac
Beautiful Stevie is best experienced live. Try her and Tom Petty performing "Stop Dragging My Heart Around" live. I have suggested it before but if you live through her performance of "Rhiannon" 1976 with Fleetwood Mac, you will need a cigarette when she is through with you even if you have never smoked before.
So Stevie is my favorite female vocalist. My mom played this album all the time right when I was born in 83 when the album came out. I own 2 copies of Bella Donna on vinyl
Love Stevie Nicks. For something a little more emotionally charged, I suggest The Blue Nile’s Tinseltown in the Rain. It is sublime, one of the most underrated bands ever.
My growin up to happy vibes rock n roll started in very early 1970's. I've been in mourning😭 ever since 2011. 2011 is the last year for great music. 2012 is when computer technology/www took over EVERYTHING officially. Year 2012 IS WHEN THE WORLD ENDED as so many predicted. Yes 2011 was the very last year that computer technology wasn't a world wide official take over. The world as we used to know it DID END IN 2012😞 Auto tunes took over music since😩!!
Time for 17 minutes of pure bliss, IN-A-GADDA-DA-VIDA by IRON BUTTERFLY. pretty please from a Young, Old rocker from down under. Hi from Perth Australia. 😎👋🎶🎵
Ohhhhh,, Stevie is my Gypsy Queen. This is the best rock and roll queen imo. This is the start of her solo career 1981. She has juggled those 2 careers for 47 years! That's impressive. The only artist inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice. Once with Fleetwood Mac and then again for her solo career. Pretty remarkable!! She is my Gypsy Queen. I keep telling you to react to the Midnight Special live 1976 "Rhiannon". Stevie loses it! She is just so damn good!
Stevie is the absolute shit. What a voice. If you're taking random requests, I'll bite - given your run of Led Zep stuff lately, I highly, HIGHLY recommend the Stairway to Heaven performance by Heart from 2012 (the 7 minutes and 59 seconds version on YT). Led Zeppelin are in the crowd for it, and quite moved by the song, as well as the fact that the band's late dummer's son surprised them on stage to perform too. For me, it's better than the original, Ann Wilson singing that song is so fucking powerful, it's one of the best live performances I've ever seen, gives me goosebumps, and I don't get them anywhere near as easily as you haha.
Maybe an odd recommendation, but to hear Stevie when she was some 10 years younger singing with Lindsey in their Pre-Fleetwood Mac partnership is an amazing peek into the immense talent FWM inherited. The live version of Django/Sorcerer (sometimes called Lady of the Mountain) from 1974 is unbelievable.
Here's the link to the 1975 live Buckingham Nicks version of Sorcerer. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-94RigXkzTco.html Starts at 24:58.
One of the few women of Rock Stevie Nicks was a real looker then and now. And yeah that voice. Although we now live in the Missouri Ozarks, I've always had some residents in Arizona since moving there in 1959. So...... I had a friend who dated her before Fleetwood Mac. It took him a while to get over her. LOL She had many relationships though. A real Heartbreaker. 🤫 🍄 ✌️☮️ 🤠🐂🏞️🛩️
Other great female rockers: Grace Slick of Jefferson Airplane. “Somebody to Love.” Janis Joplin of Big Brother and the Holding Company. “Piece of my Heart.” Patti Smith. “Gloria” Joan Jett of Joan Jett & the Blackhearts. “I Hate Myself For Loving You.” Pat Benatar. “Hit Me With Your Best Shot.” Ann Wilson of Heart. “Crazy On You.” Chrissie Hynd of the Pretenders. “My City Was Gone.”
Weird how that little puff ball got my attention. It did, but that doesn't change the fact that i love your reactions. And... Don't be scared, I've got grandkids your age, but I will be stalking you in my mind. Have a good one.
Just wait till you watch her do this live ! Then all your fans can watch you fall in love with Stevie the first time seeing her ... just like every other red blooded man or woman who has ever witnessed her sing.
For All the youngsters watching the back beat was used in Destiny Child (Beyonce) hit bootylicious. Mark can you Please Please do Silver Springs? heads up, it's a ballad. The back story is about Stevie & fellow Fleetwood Mac Band member Lindsey Buckingham tormented relationship. It's Fire 🔥
Stevie has an absolutely amazing voice. If you want to hear another awesome female vocalist, check out Janis Joplin. I recommend Me and Bobby McGee. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!
Misheard lyric: _"Just like the white winged dove"_ is what she's singing, but I heard 'ONE' instead of white... Just like a one-winged dove, I exclaimed?! Fuckin' thing's flying in circles, isn't it?! lol
A collaboration with Don Henley, drummer & lead vocalist with the Eagles before his outrageously good solo career in the 80s. “Dirty Laundry” “The Boys of Summer” “The Garden of Allah”
@@brainsqueezereactions lol!! It was my reaction to, what is most definately, going to be your extensive play list. Buckle up good buddy.......you're in for a long, extremely pleasurable ride. You might want to leave the pants off. lol
you need to listen to your brother peakie a bit more he got taste lol not heard this in years its like you listening to the music of my childhood epic lol
If you want every top classic rock song that you will have a fantastic reaction to? Just play my suggestions. I only say this cause I love the 70’s and 80’s and a little bit of the 90’s. And everyone always compliments my music when I blast music at work or at home.
6:39 darlin great reaction, She kills it, but no lead guitar, she’s the star. A few more things.. um I promised not to mention Aerosmith train kept a Rollin, J Geils band Musta got lost live version. I don’t wanna step on anyone’s toes but if you choose steely Dan over those two it will be disappointing. But I’ll still listen🧐 If you’re looking for some female voices and rock bands the pretenders, heart, Pat Benatar, and the queen Janis Joplin.
Hi Hector, That is one of the great songs. If you want something different listen to Alice Cooper - Feed My Frankenstein. Here is a like and comment to help your channel grow and get you the recognition you deserve.
This is a brilliant song. Unfortunately this is a mono version. The magic is in the stereo. Do yourself a favour and listen to a stereo version...it takes it to a whole other level. You are a breath of fresh air my friend. EDIT: I just realisted after watching a few more vids that you ARE listening in stereo...only your video has been uploaded in mono. Be nice if we heard what you were hearing though :)
Steel Heart: I'll never let you go One of the Great Power Rock Ballads. Vocals are epic! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-F-nyeiKk35M.html
