People don't even get peace BEFORE their old. You have to be part of a certain elite mob who for the most part ARE unsexy but no one ever says so AND insults anyone who DOESN'T find these manufactured looking barbie he-men and women 'sexy' and what to aspire to be like to be acceptable in society even if you're not a 'star'!
She had a haunting beauty. Those ethereal good looks used to mesmerise me and formed some of my fashion choices. What a truly blessed woman, born into the best of times and a shining beacon of living life to the max. Getting older happens to all of us and it really is not to be feared if lucky enough to be stoical and fairly pain free. This lady is still glowing in her later years.
I was 16 years old when Dreams hit the airwaves. From the first time I heard her, I was in awe of her music, poetry, and artistry. Ms. Nicks and her profound lyrics have taken me through my entire adult life, helping me make sense of the best times and giving me the clarity to make it through the darkest times. At age 63, I still look to her powerful and incredibly insightful words to help me make sense of my life and the world around me. I owe so much to this beautiful and intellectually brilliant spirit for holding my hand while I loved, laughed, cried, and faced my fears. Even at the end of my life, she will be there, as my surviving loved ones have been instructed to play, "Storms", at my memorial service.
So her worlds of fairies, dragons, Walt Disney characters and a rather schizophrenic approach to character assassination is insightful and helps make sense of the world around you? White-wing doves, trapeze artists, women on castle balconies overlooking the sea etc...THIS all makes sense in the world around you. But I do like the thought that we can get to choose proper songs as opposed to bloody hymns at a funeral service, I long figured I know what I wanted-well it's between two from the same person actually. And 'Storms' is a good choice, not an obvious one perhaps, but it sounds more natural for a ceremony than many of her others, though of course it does come down to personal taste. A miserable one, though, if we felt we all had to pick an obvious so-called 'hit' that everyone apparently knows, so just as well as we don't!
I grew up listening to Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks. Stevie is a goddess and a living legend. She's so talented and amazing. Stevie is a true Artist.
She was inspirational and a FANTASTICALLY talented woman...everyone grows old and should retire...She is a LEGEND and will ALWAYS be adored and BEAUTIFUL no matter what...
76 years young, so friggin what ! Lulu's 75, looks half of those years ! Just performed at Glastonbury 2024, as Stevie recently rocked London. Had the privilege to see Stevie twice Live, once with the Mac, plus her solo date at Wembley on the "Other Side of the Mirror" Tour. Magical ❤ Stevie you're Fantastic and you'll be engaging those sublime vocal chords for years to come, absolutely no doubt, spouse or no spouse !
Well, I became more of a fan later in life, I did listen to her when younger, but it wasn't untill I got my own ideas about singing back later in life that I started listening to her again and I think she's amazing. I've always admired her fashion sense too. She has definitely been an inspiration for me, as many other women of rock have been. Absolutely awesome. Love love love.
Thank you sweetheart for liking the lyrics, I so fleetingly provided you with along with the ones you've created and know that I will love you always, thanks for your graceousness and your sisterlike beauty. Yours truly, Mike
Leave Stevie alone, she is and was a genius, she was entitled to make her own mind up, with whoever she wanted to be with , maybe she longed to have a baby but unfortunately it didn't happen,
Stevie hasn’t done anything that deserves criticism! She, like the rest of us are living with “what ifs” Regrets that haunt us in the small quiet hours! She has much for which to be proud, I only wish her detractors achieved a tenth of her prowess! Fleetwood Mac was a collection of musicians that will stand the test of time and doesn’t deserve the erosion of retrospective criticism!
Miss nicks made all my childhoods dreams come alive in her trouble in shangrala cd as a child of five one day walking on a old country road the beauty of nature can have some kind of magical imigination then when her shangrala cd came out and i herd all her lericks i was shocked to realise some one actually wrote my dreams of how and why i was navagating my furture and life how would she take it if she knew i had the same exact. Visions of my furture life and plans. It just goes to show how much childten at that age how inteligent they really are i to this day still wonder what would she think of me to have had those visions of all the songs of that cd how would she feel alltho it is a true story and really
I resonated with Stevie too much & even had Stevie friends, women I identified with who were into Stevie. I lived her songs out in real life & I dressed like her. It was a huge mistake and I paid for it with the loss of my family. I am alone because I chose to live her songs & I regret it. If I could go back in time and make a different choice I would. Write that song Stevie & I will sing it with you on stage. Mae
This mini doc was excruciating to watch. Same pictures, often not the subjects being narrated , the the repetive descriptions. Thought I was going to lose my mind. But I did find out a few things I hadn't known.
Only one of the few talented bands can hold a group together for so long.. Like how Peter green cool style sounded black magic woman jumping shadows etc how groups grew in popularity over the years....with there band members......haha veary cool... If you can't run with the big dogs stay on the porch ...
I met her at a party, circa 1981-2, admired her greatly for her 1st lp w/ Buckingham, I was a med student/musician, she invited me to share something in a private room and I declined and she erupted in anger. A very sad, lonely woman, at least then.
The heading of this video makes me so sad that there are people that want to be cruel. Of course she has changed at 76 (we all do), but look at what she has achieved in the past (not all people contribute to mankind).
Ive always loved 2:05 Stevie Nicks. Her and her music tap right into the the center of who I am. However, the way this story of her is told is way to sappy for me. Bottom line, she was a woman and all of us, male and female have a lifetime of shortcomings.
Did happen the yr was 1962 i was 5 yrs old we and my parents two sisters karen annamarie. My brother bob my mom mary my dad bob. And me muriel. I would go of often by my self and play among the woods trees see all the flowers beauty and wonder of nature was very mistical and magical for me and i was always excided about halloween and fantisizing of seeing a witch fly ing past a full yellow moon on halloween night the smell of the leaves a lighted jack o lantern a neighbor had on her porch step i alway had my mom dress me up as a witch i always wanted to be a witch. True life story. If stevie ever would find this and should happen to see that her and i really have alot in commen and my story is very true. I hope she sees this i would really find it very exciting to actually talk with her if she should ever feel the same i find it very strange that two strange people have the same ideas. And i hope the same she will find it interesting ❤
THIS TRUTH I WILL TELL YOU Stevie Nicks serves herself and the god of this world, And she has been rewarded by the god of this world with only worldly things, And all that is of this world becomes sickly, roten, and dies, Soon this world is coming to its end, and she shall also come to her end, Stevie will not be remembered in the next world that is soon to come into being, nor will she be any part of it, Stevie chose this path many years ago, Dont chose the way of the serpent as Stevie has done, All those who chose to serve the beast are become unredeemable, THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH RULES
Oh,her life is so sad that I felt 1/100 of a seconds worth of empathy for this High Caliber Narcissist. Then I just had to stop myself for that was too much. She causes pain man, she doesn't feel it !
NO , ACTUALLY U SHUD KNOW THE SONG " SILVER SORINGS" WAS WRITTEN ABOUT HER AND LINDSAY RELATIONSHIP, LYRICS ARE ABOUT HIM CHEATING ON HER! THATS WHY ON STAGE WHEN PREFORM THAT SONG IS ALWAYS EMOTIONAL AND GIVES HIM THE DEATH LOOK LOL
She didn't do anything to Lyndsey but love him. They were both very young and simply grew apart as many young loves do. They remained friends and colleagues throughout the years and treated each other with grace and dignity.
Really grim that whoever put this video up spent loads of time trawling through photos of Stevie Nicks in order to find the most unflattering one to entice people to watch their lousy video, I haven't watched out of principle. Pathetic.
