I saw Stevie and Jeff Beck back in '89. Still the greatest show I've ever been to. I don't even bother trying to compare other shows to them anymore. For I've truly been in the presence of greatness.

Absolutely the smoothest mid-song , blown string, guitar transfer EVER. Seamless. I didn't know him but I sure do miss him.

Best blues guitarist I have ever had the pleasure of seeing in concert, live in the Cleveland flats a short time before his tragic death. I snuck up front near the stage and watched him up close and personal before being ushered away by security, twice. If I could re-live any of my concert experiences, I think this one would be at the top of my list!

I was 24 yr old and saddest day I closed the shop and I went home and stared at my strat strung just like my hero and cried that the soul that made all the days playing and the whole world happy was never going to strum again on earth 🌎 and I did get back to playing but not that guitar it's just as it was that day and my son will have it someday untouched in memory of the guitar God SRV ❤❤❤🫶✌️

The complete city was mourning -- I literally saw people crying in cars at 4 way intersections with lights...no one was going anywhere. Dallas radio station playing in-sync,every vehicle. Was a huge SRV fan back in the '80s, even though as a young "hipster" punk and new wave etc. were more my style of music. Still remember watching the 11 o'clock news in LA when news of the helicopter crash came on. 35 years later this stuff sounds even more brilliant than it did back then. RIP.

I've seen most of the guitar gods... Scofield, Beck, Angus, EVH, Gambale, Gibbons, BB, Joe Walsh, Clapton, Steve Howe, Metheny, Prince, Lukather, Townshend, Frampton, Gilmour, Brian May, Rundgren etc... but I don't think anyone's flow was quite like SRV. It just kept coming... remarkable.

I've seen a lot of SRV footage, and this is the absolute best. The album: In Step with Double Trouble is a gem. Stevie had become sober, and when he did this, his musicianship became flawless. Not that wasn't good before... Of horse.

If I Had Been PRIVALEGED To Have Been Sitting In The Audience For This Taping - I Sure Would Have Been More Enthusiastic In My Appreciation For Stevie, For His Band & The Incredible Music They Made! I Know This Performance Was Taped For TV...But I Don't EVER Remember Sitting Down Listening To These Guys...You Just Couldn't! It Was SO Great To See & Hear These Guys After They Went Thru Their Respective Rehabs & Came Together Again - Even BETTER Than Ever! They Were Really Present & Enjoying Themselves Like I'd Never Seen Them! My Pops was a musician back in the day Rest in Peace Dad 47 years old , and Stevie Ray was his favorite! We had all his shows recorded on VHS And as kids me my brothers would watch them over and over again ! I love Stevie , it's hard to listen to at times cause it brings back so many Memories. Most recent my little brother who played the drums Rest in Peace age 36 . The good die young and that's a fact. Rest in Peace Stevie Ray Vaughn 😢 May God Be with you all.
