Your reactions to our SRV are great!!! He was so instrumental in other musicians recovery that the organization that helps musicians struggling w addictions, MusiCares, created the Stevie Ray Vaughan Award yearly to the musician who has recovered and is helping others like SRV did.

🙌👏‼️Okay so this is my all time favorite song by Stevie and I love them all so much. He composed this song after his own rehab and recovery and enjoying his hard won sobriety. He spent the last 4 years of his short life encouraging and helping people struggling with addiction and was and still is a source of inspiration to get or stay sober. It truly is a healing balm for the soul and spirit that wraps you in a warm supportive embrace that imparts unconditional love💙❤️❣️. So I am subbing for more Stevie Ray✌️💯. I think you are the first reactor to notice he uses the "fat" side of the pick, and yes, high action was always configured. Reece on the piano is like Stevie on the guitar, superb and exquisite🎶. Can't go wrong. May I suggest Tin Pan Alley from Montreux Jazz Festival 1985 in Switzerland featuring Johnny Copeland, another Texas Blues man. Between them they give a master class in down and dirty blues💙🎸💙🎶🎸. It's as good as it gets... More please!

I have reacted to that rendition already. Here is the link to that video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zjPlebIn6I0.html Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad I can "pick" things out that others miss. I am almost 7 years clean and sober from alcohol myself. Quit when my first born was conceived.

@@MikeMacabre oh I didn’t realize you had reacted to that. Will check it out for sure. Let me change that suggestion to “Life Without You” from the Capitol Theatre 1985. It his original composition as a tribute to his good friend Charley that passed away suddenly. This performance has lots of surprises and twists and turns that have to been seen to be believed. And congratulations on your great choice for sobriety with the best of reasons. You will never regret it👍✌️‼️

He generally ran really heavy strings, huge frets, and a high action, with an E-flat tuning. It gives more sustain and a warmer tone. I always set up my guitars like that too. He almost always played with the other "corners" of the pick. Also, I super agree. Reese Wynans killed it on the keys.
