Lets have it right, Stevie could have wiped the floor with the other players and not break sweat. He DIDN'T. He didn't steal the limelight, he didn't take centre stage, he didn't show off, he just jammed as he just LOVED playing. That's to his testament. No big shot, no ego trip, just an honest player who LOVED to play!
For everybody "including myself" that has been known to chase down different gear to achieve SRV tone, this proves to us that his sound is ALL in his hands and soul, he just jumped up on stage and hopped on somebody elses rig, diddled around for a second and proceeded to sound like the Stevie we all love.
One of the greatest musicians and guitar player and singer that walked this great earth before he was taken at such a young Ge in a helicopter crash along with others..Stevie Ray Vaughan is phenomenal and never will be forgotten..still listening in 2021,going into 2022..RIP Stevie
this is WHY, i go on youtube, this right here....everything about it. In about 2 short years his life would tragically end, yet even in sobriety he gave every ounce he had, just like he did before the fame , just like back in the small clubs in Texas, THANK GOD for sharing with the world whoever you are.
Not professional recording, but to the band he played with and SRV fans...means so much to see the person he was and the whole 4:45 minute experience priceless... a diamond !!!!
It's time to take the stage Stevie Ray Vaughan..let's go! Bubblegum time and keeping up with the strat is all in control of Stevie Ray Vaughan. What a performance that Stevie is sending to his fans..great band..and Stevie the music legend is sensational..
@@davidrpriest Eric Clapton often said he was terrified to go on after Stevie or work with him on stage. Someone asked him what he thought about Stevie after hearing him in concert for the first time, Eric was reported as saying, "That it was time for me to retire." That says a lot.
@@xenoscoot I saw SRV twice. He was always unbelievable. Even when he had drug and alcohol problems, he never seemed lost or missed anything. A true genius. You cannot find a bad performance that I am aware of. Even Hendrix had bad performances.
Nobody could outfox the guitar fox in no shape or form..Stevie Ray Vaughan was born to play blue's and rock n roll..and that's what he is doing ..rock on Stevie..RIP
Wow! I love this! Stevie always sounded so good. His touch, his tone, and his feeling for the music always showed through in his playing. He really had a gift.

Catherine Denise Yep...even when he played a guitar that wasn’t his. It’s definitely not the guitar, it’s the man behind it.
So cool -Stevie uses the other guys guitar and blam! It's the unmistakable soul of SRV. Any guitar was magic in those gifted hands. Great post - thank you~
A technique so great he didn't have to be afraid of a mistake being heard. He's always turned way up in the volume. There're great players in all styles. But the common thread is their serene confidence in their playing technique; strumming is totally in sync with the fingering. They can have the volume at maximum.
one thing about this dude when he comes out to play he is allways RED HOT I saw him outdoors in 1984 in salem mass I was so close I could see him sweating on his guitar after that I saw 3 more times never let me down until he died then I found gary moore and now he is gone

i was second row outdoor concert in salem mass in 1984 he was un heard of then it didn,t take long after that and i saw him another 2 times in boston wow he was hot right out of the gate
i remember seeing him outside down in salem mass. stage was setup behind a decommision seaplane hanger no seats you sat on the ground looking up i was in the first row 1984 after that i felt yup my new band
How 'bout it Oak Cliff! From the third annual Oak Cliff reunion. Stevie sits in with Marc Benno and others. Stevie sang Pride and Joy, and Texas Flood. How cool was this man. everyone liked Stevie and most just loved him. Easy to see why.
That bubble gum Stevie Is chewing has to be sensational just like the entertainment Stevie Ray Vaughan is flowing out of there to you and me over the air Waves..Stevie is professional and phenominal as it can get..r you with me?

Great to see Stevie playing in a different set up but they couldn’t give him even 12 more bars to do his thing?? Lol. If it were my band I’d stand and wait for him to tell me when he was done soloing!
It was 1988. It was probably filmed with a 200lb VHS Camcorder. Then he saved that tape for 30 years And gave it to us as a wonderful gift. Now say you're sorry.
It's a 30 year old video that normally would never have been seen by anyone other than the people who recorded it, and not heard by anyone else other than the people who were actually at that venue. It's a very cool recording that lets us see Stevie actually sit in with someone that wasn't a massive star. Let's not nitpick
@@buddywhittington8609 Cool I thought so. Well I sure they are hanging out again. Peace to both. I hung out with Joe and band a couple of times up in Seattle Washington. Turn them on to the good Buffet eats in the area and also Joe wanted to see Mr Jimi grave so I took them to see that. I used to play out myself but now I play at home. I used to enjoy playing a lot of Magic Sam, Freddie King excetera. Been up in Vancouver Canada I went with them on a couple of gigs just to be around the cool guys so to speak hung out with them in the hotel rooms Etc. Mr. Benois King at all we're very kind to me 24 year old player and blues enthusiast.
@@buddywhittington8609 Ha! Bravo! Well said. Happy Memorial Day to you. As we remember those who served we can also keep in memory the great blues pickers who moved on.
