There's a manliness to his performance that is absent from today's musicians.

The things is…it is the genuineness of your reactions, your pure enjoyment and respect for the talent and art of the musicians that makes your channel so much fun to watch. As always thanks for sharing. SRV master musician!

Thanks for your multi-episode dive into Stevie Ray. Got to see him once at the Universal Amphitheatre in '84. It's difficult to comprehend how I can miss someone so much that I've never met. His nearly explosive will to live out every moment after sobriety is still an inspiration to this day. Take care.

2 things~ Never apologize for doing another Stevie Ray reaction There is no such thing as too much Stevie Ray🎸🎶‼️ He did 3 songs in this set and they were all good. Subbing for more SRV🎸💙✌️ There are so many different moods and skill sets he brings that his music is always fresh and fun each time. It is mandatory to check out Tin Pan Alley with him and Johnny Copeland at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. A master class in down and dirty blues. Also for something different and behind the scenes check out his Soundcheck about 15 minutes long. He had just rolled out of bed, rubbing his eyes and yawning but when he straps in the magic starts and fortunately someone filmed it. It has over 22 million views so you know it's 🔥. How many sound-checks receive 22 million views? I'll wait...

Playing a 12 string Accoustic ...6..strings regular gauge, 6 matching strings underneath the other six....sadly one of the last televised performances before his passing..RIp SRV.

I had just heard and become a huge fan of SRV when i heard that he had just been killed. It was 1990 and i had FINALLY found the sound and energy i had been searching for in blues. When the news of SRV arrived, i was stunned, just like it was a relative or best friend taken too early, and only just found his feet, giving up drugs and drink for the love of a good woman. I had never felt those emotions for a musician or in fact someone i have never met or ever would meet. But when Tom Petty died, i felt those strange emotions again. Still sad for all the fantastic music they would never make, but so thankful for the music they did.

Try Live video of Buddy Guy @ Guy's tiny, smokey club "Champagne and Reefer"...perfect, greasy, bluesy. Also with Jeff Beck (Brit guitar god) live video (very dark, but worth it) touring together doing " Going Down" is a revelation of electric energy, different than any other SRV performance.

This was a great show. The other guitarist was Joe Satriani. You need to watch SRV play Testify. It was one of the other songs he played. No lyrics but awesome playing.

You need to do "Lenny" from the El Mocambo set, it was dedicated to his wife Lenora. Pure instrumental.

He borrowed this 12 string guitar and I believe he broke the neck on it with that grip of his. Notice too that he is not looking down at his hands or the strings. No need, played with his eyes closed! He didn't read or write music so how did he adapt his song to the acoustic guitar? He's the G.O.A.T. is how. Missed every day by millions...
