When it gets down to the point where guys like Tommy are literally mimicking Stevie's mannerisms on stage and off stage.. thats really weird to me. And all he's known for is acting like and playing SRV music and licks. I always think, dont you want your own identity and style instead of just mimicking SRV? Esp when ppl think Tommy is really good, as if hes good at playing his own style. He's just really good at pretending to be Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Guess I missed that chapter in my music studies during college...I thought the whole point of music is to enjoy it...if this guy enjoys emulating Stevie then what's the problem...you guys are just hating on him because of some flaw or issue in your life I don't know...if you don't like it..then roll on...really no need for the shithead comments...at the end of the day...the guy is a good guitar player...he's put the time in to learn the songs and replicate them pretty well....but whatever... internet is full of hateful turds
Damn Tommy Katona is the best SRV tribute out there. Kid tears it up, plus he’s got the vocals down like the playing. If heard this on a tape I would think it was SRV.
Song written by double trouble for Stevie, off the in step album, and I used to watch Stevie do those licks on his Guitar many times, and I gotta say this guy does a fantastic job
SRV was very advanced in guitar 🎸 playing. Sheep was that you? SRV should of always stayed on the ground. When Stevei played you didn't need any other instruments, he was just that good. It took all your facilities just to absorb what he was playing.🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸 And he was so smooth one stroke and he would go up the whole neck it was constantly vibrating.
Absolutely awesome!!!! Love it!!! I saw SRV 5 times including the “Last Show” I’m sure he is smiling knowing that he influenced a group of talented musicians like you guys!
That's pretty fucking good man!! I'd buy a ticket to your show. So glad I got tickets to see the legend live, I never imagined he'd be taken from us a few months later. Wish I would've gotten better seats, but still consider myself very fucking blessed to have seen him at all. R.I.P. Stevie I still miss you every god-damned day!

I went to srv funeral and theirs only one Stevie..I've been watching tommy for a while now and I've never seen anything like it..favors him sounds like him plays like Stevie and hope some day I can meet Tommy...your awesome brother.
Everything from tone to his voice is pretty much spot on. The singing voice is uncanny if you just heard this and could see it you would def think that’s srv
Tommy should know better than to use that much reverb. Other than that great performance, I’m a huge fan of tommy and I’ve been following him for years. Hope to meet him one day
