His sister who had the line “ you nasty boy” went to my high school, when she graduated there was a cheap 3 man band playing the graduation, who got the shock of their life when Stevie wonder got up to sing with them
I could listen to this song on repeat all day. What an amazing array of musicians. Stevie’s voice keeps soaring after all these years and Nathan Watts’ bass line is one of the best.
greatest song ever written genius level the hidden vibe is f--------- incredible , wonder is truly the greatest song writer ever , ive written songs for alot of people but cant get anywhere near stevie his genius level will never be matched , the amount of songs of incredible quality is stunning . sense of melody and hook composition is unreal .
I am no big fan of Stevie, like some of his songs, but there's no denying this man has got some serious talent. The song was 40 years old at this time, so much more musical and having a soul than most songs today.
This song is Everything to me. Keeps me grounded. Reminds me of growing up in the " Projects". I can do and buy anything I want now. But it was the Best time of my life as a child. Of course, it is different now. Back then it was a " Community" that looked out for each other, the 70's.. Everytime I here this it kinda brings tears to my eyes. It takes me back. People truly cared for each other.
What moves me is, in spite of this huge success, incredible surrounding, in spite of seeing nothing of it, Stevie, who feels it, I am sure , puts all his heart in his singing. WoW. Great bodhisattva of the Arts.
Always looking out for the next genius on Stevie's level but 60 years (!!) since he conquered Earth and still ain't seen the next emperor where they at 🤔❓ Prince was pretty damn close but 😢 💔
