Anybody remember Carol Kaye??? She had to put up with the "same crap" this young lady is dealing with from you male HATERS. I'm a 30+ year bassist that did my 1st professional recording way back in 1985, and she's just plain ole good, period. If she was a he, no one would say anything negative. I say, Keep doing what you doing young lady. You're a breath of fresh air.

There are so many people who are rude to female musicians (specially the ones who play "masculine" instruments like bass and drums). It's either comments about how bad they are or how sexy they look (sometimes it goes too far). It's pretty sad.
Renaki90 The backlash always follows from using one's attractiveness to help promote video's, guys get jealous because they know they aren't female with perfect hair, and no matter how good they might do something they can't even get their moms to watch. It is the deal you have to accept because nothing is really free. Also because it is RU-vid and that is just what people DO here.
my favorite thing about this cover is that she isn't trying to show off or anything like that, she's just playing the lines in perfect tempo, consistent volume, no chaff or fret noise at all, and just perfect feel overall. That's all that's really needed in a great musician\performer.

I like Stevie Wonder but this has never been one of my favs. But this girl made me appreciate the song a little more. I'm more of an 80s Stevie Wonder fan. Ok my bad it says this was 1980 ..I thought it was late 70s. But you know what I mean..that whole 80s sound that Stevie wonder has..the typical 80s is what I like. Part Time Lover, That Girl, Go Home..that kind of style.

Absolute class, any bass player at any level will LOVE watching this! I don't know who played bass on the original Stevie Wonder recording, but who ever it was, was a genius bassist. Fabulous bass line, right up there with the best.
