Hey, so there is definitely no Covid closure in SA and the place is safe for sure. Not sure why there weren't so many people out and about that day. Though there were lots of people at the club house area and lagoon, I just didn't record there.
But isn't it a dull life? I mean, no joggings on the streets? No people who take a walk with the dog? In europe it's very common to take , just take a walk on the street .
I've watched quite a few of these drive through estate videos and noticed the same thing, the absence of a broader sense of community. However, if that is the exchange for security, cleanliness and order, it's a fair trade off. Having lived in South Africa and Lesotho for a while, these kind of estates are really needed. That isn't quite the case in safer more orderly countries I have lived in like Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe where such estate seem to be more about copying trends and ways for property investors squeeze more properties into smaller spaces and charge inflated property prices for them.
