the crystal gray one has sum serious fun damage showing... good times. i like my car to have a few points of personality as well... cracked front bumper, paint missing there etc etc
probably a 96/97 sti, the only gc8 models that came in 2 door that were turbo were sti's im pretty sure.. but the front bumper says its before the gc8 facelift
You're right in a one sense. But adjusting the sti's DCCD controls sending most of the power to the back wheels is the closest thing an awd will be to a rwd. Having said this, a bit of e-brake and clutch kicking will send the rear of the car out in over steer. counter steering to then maintain this over steer is called drifting. soooo... technically, this IS drifting.
Anybody know the specs on the gc8?? Love the one in this video, i'd love to make mine look similar to that, any place i could find what suspension/rim size it has??
No, drifting is a driving technique where the driver intentionally oversteers, causing loss of traction in the rear wheels, while maintaining control from entry to exit of a corner. A car is drifting when the rear slip angle is greater than the front slip angle, to such an extent that often the front wheels are pointing in the opposite direction to the turn (e.g. car is turning left, wheels are pointed right or vice versa).
this is drifting btw because the rear wheels are spinning faster than the car is moving and the extra wheel spin correlates to the angle of the drift more gas more angle same as rear wheel drive just because wrx have power going to the front wheels doesnt mean they dont qualify in your narrow definition of a drift.boom and you response isnt completely what is oversteer? how is it maintaining it in opposite lock and what does that mean, be specific
