STICK - 3D Animated Short Film 

An artist draws a stickman into reality and allows his creation to explore its new world.
This animation was produced as part of my college Media Studies course. All in all it took around 6 months to complete from the storyboard to the final cut, using the software Autodesk 3ds Max for the CGI, Adobe After Effects to composite and Adobe Audition for the audio.

Inspired by the concept brought about by Alan Becker in Animator vs. Animation (2006) and the jazzy, stylised action of Shinichiro Watanabe's Cowboy Bebop, I filmed this short film on school premises and completed the rest at home, from modelling and rigging the characters and props to compositing the computer generated elements into their real life settings. The audio design was produced using royalty free effects and my own recorded foley, ambience and sounds.
The music featured is Mushroom Hunting by Yoko Kanno & the Seatbelts, owned by record label Victor Entertainment. This is a non-profit production intended for education purposes.
