This is really helpful. Are there any good charts for deciding spacing? I really didn't find much. I found the wood association document which I really struggled to understand and then it kind of looks like everybody else just deffers to that.

We are glad you enjoyed the video! We have some helpful charts and tips in the first section of our Concrete Forming Accessories handbook. It is available on our website to download: www.daytonsuperior.com/docs/default-source/handbooks/concreteformingaccessorieshb.pdf?sfvrsn=24f1d560_120

Great Video. So much useful information!!! Rookie question but when would it be acceptable to use a waler only form system with short end ties over a waler with strongback/stud + long end tie system?

We are happy to answer any question, no worries on that! You can use a short end snap-tie with the Jahn System up to 8’0” in height: your pour rate of concrete is limited and you will still need to have a strongback every 8’0” oc. The Jahn System is load rated at 2250lb SWL so you are limited to a pour rate with this system to maximize the loading per tie. Hope that helps and thanks so much for the video feedback.

Thank you for your knowledge! I just completed my 50’ long and 4’ tall concrete planter with strongbacks 8’ on center held up well.
