You don't need to reset for a 38. Take a $1,000 loan out instantly, then bet all of your money on two Blackjack hands. That gives you $4,400. Repay the loan (Now $3,400), buy one pack of smokes, the alarm clock, and Caffiene Pills until you have About $2,500 left. $2,500 is enough to get 250 Intelligence from school. Then just get the Computer and get rich from stocks.
I know this a bit of a late comment, but this run was done 7 months before that kind of thing was done in a run. I am pretty good at finding rather good primitive strategies, then newer people will come along and make better ones.
this is less of a speedrun and more of a letsplay 19:50 see how he uses keyboard there, and a few seconds later he uses mouse? you don't do that unless its a letsplay
Only reason I really switched is because I was super slow with the keyboard and had lost prior runs on better pace by over pressing multiple times in a row or was going too fast, which won't give you the boost that you are trying to get. Besides my mouse movements were faster by a significant margin than my keyboard presses for that section of the run. I ended up using keyboard at the end to spam sleep because I am faster with it that way.
In speedruns in games with set days like this, you judge it based on number of days you take, not on the amount of RL time passes. Spamming sleep to build up interest is not a speedrun
The run is based on RTA timing because there are specific requirements needed in order to get the President that take varying amounts of time, which includes getting certain stats and money, so interest was used because stocks failed me greatly in this run. There are other runs of this same category that go well over 700 days. If it were based on days then any% is the way to go, which is generally less than 10 seconds.
