Stig, your enthusiasm for aircraft maintenance is truly amazing. Your commitment to coming down to Miami from Los Angeles to assist our students is commendable. Your dedication to their education is inspiring. A big shoutout to all the upper management at American Airlines for their generous support, both financially and by providing personnel. American Airlines went above and beyond by providing airfare and arranging very nice hotel accommodations for the students during their stay. It's this collaborative effort that makes our annual trip to the MRO a success. Thank you all for your unwavering commitment to our students' success! I also want to give a special shoutout to the American Airline technicians in Miami, Florida, who went above and beyond to prepare these students. It was because of them that we had our success. And a huge thank you to Elena Gonzalez, whose invaluable contributions in so many ways played a crucial role in our achievements.

Hey Stig!! A huge thanks for this video! To me it was just fantastic seeing some amazing new tooling …. Dent mapper wow! The TR troubleshooting brings memories, but the most important was never ever drop any of those tiny screws down into the throttle quadrant. Was laughing hard at the safety box 😅 all aircraft mechanics can relate and it’s the only profession that uses this skill. I still have scars from .041 safety wire. As an Army veteran doing the rotor alignment isn’t appreciated until you’re up on the top of the chopper in the field doing that…. But then that’s true for every event. Congratulations to you all! Watching this really makes me feel proud of being an A&P. Thanks and stay safe out there. And we all got some semblance of what Stig looks like 👍

Thanks for the trip report and a super thanks for providing insight and promoting the typically unseen but important work of Aircraft Maintenance Technicians in the Airline Industry to the social media/internet audience. As a retired Airline Mechanic and Aerospace Industry worker, I appreciate that you are using the power of the internet to show what Mechanics do daily and the level of technical knowledge needed to maintain aircraft in an airworthy condition. Working mostly behind the scenes but accomplishing the important jobs that keep airplanes safe to fly, your videos do a fantastic job and are a credit to all Mechanics and Aircraft Maintenance Support staff. Good ol safety wire, like giving blood without the needle and with safety wire pinching pliers. I remember using that stuff in the Navy working on arresting gear. Had a pair of pliers break on me once and we had to finish wiring by hand as we were in a hurry to finish our work with flight ops starting with aircraft overhead for recovery.

You caught my "YayYayeee" during the team intros. Nice.

Stig, the DMC test was interesting, after assembling the head onto the crimp tool we have to close the crimp tool and check it with a Go/NoGo guage to check the head is crimping correctly befor use.

This looks like a super cool experience Stig and we appreciate you documenting all of this for our viewing. Keep up all the hard work, all of us here really enjoy your content and I personally learn a lot from it!

Im airforce they had Rodeo a competition of best maintained bestlooking aircraft. We won in 1983. I had never heard of it before either. Good luck.

I loved watching you work on that engine, and it was awesome watching the students put what they have learned to use, with a little bit of an assist from the judges. The blood box is where your extremities get tortured lol! I would appreciate a safety cable video from you indeed. I also really loved the glorious rotating turbine engines, scaled models, including the complex lego one. Those folks know how to light up an engine. You always make my heart sing with all these wonderful things. ♥

I just connected through O’Hare today on American and saw the US Airways and America West A321s AND the AstroJet bare metal 737-800 all in one place and all in the same terminal! The America West happened to be my plane coming to Sky Harbor today.

Hello my friend enjoying your vlog today having started watching a few weeks ago you mentioned to comment when we felt compelled well over 50 yrs ago I joined the Air Force to fulfill my duties in the military my best friend and I joined together in the Aircraft maintenance field he chose fuel cell and I choose Crew Chief .I worked on Prop Aircraft all my 4yrs my split half & half Prop and Jet. I enjoy your maintenance logic clear and clean, hard working, but you Keep It Simple Possible .Like today in you vlog when you were doing Safety wiring composition, you brought back the old days when I used to have to Safety Wiring on EC121 AWACS Costallation Aircraft at McClellan AFB,CA .In a year ago I was attaching Bamboo to an a fence I decided to use wire to secure the Bamboo to the current fence in place and I had forgotten that how easy it was to make the wiring with the Safety wiring technique I had learned 50 yrs ago and hadn't use since came in handy. Again Thank You for taking the time to make you Channel it enjoy it a great deal and I'm sure my compadre that's part is part of the "Great Cloud of witnesses that is looking down on use cheering us on!.

"If its in the air, MX put it there!" a very common chant for MX groups within the USAF. When i worked B-1s back at Dyess AFB every commanders call, promotion ceremony, PME graduation.. That was heard for any and all personnel that works in MX.

I started watching Flight Safety Detectives when the Alaska Air 737-Max9 lost the door plug but I've seen Greg Feith before that.

I knew as soon as you showed that V2500 that was going to be your event 😂 SN you think i could have fit that GENx blade in my carryon....because i want that sucjer too lol
