haha, for sure, we got a weather warning of the temperature dropping 15-20 degrees(celcius) to -25 to -30 for the next few days to a week, so I thought I better take advantage of this last day to grab a little extra to burn over the coming cold nights. Thanks for watching and stay safe!
I like to hand split all my firewood too, but I use a maul instead of an axe, I like the extra weight. Nice job on the tree, you might need a bit more to get you through this upcoming cooler weather! We always have a big overflow of firewood so we don't run short. Your wood heat system looks awesome. Rubber boots with your chainsaw pants over top looking good too.
I'd like to get a maul again sometime, but top of my list if I ever get some spare money to throw at axes is a good splitting double bit, I miss handling one. Thanks for watching/commenting.
Whereabouts are you located Ben? Def not your first tree felling . Self taught? We run a chimney and firewood business here in Manitoba Canada . Great content cheers !
I'm a little wary of the decomps that are up top. Seen a few failures that took out top ends so after i got this saw we decided to plug it. It's not a super high comp saw and with the elasto it's not too hard on the starter assembly (i hypothesise) haha. Thanks for your comment.
@@BenOfficial94 I agree with you on the decomps. They are removed from all my saws except my 084 which has been milled and ported. Just no way to pull it without one.
@@BenOfficial94 good deal. I have a 395cp husqvarna that cane with a 36” bar. I bought an adapter from baileys to run stihl bars on it. Im going to put a 28” bar on her just to buck bigger oak trees her in texas for firewood this winter. If i wouldve not underestimated last winter i wouldve made a killing. I sold out of 20 cords of firewood within 8 hours of that winter storm. And for 3 continuous days people kept wanting more but i hd none left. Im not making that mistake again
