Umm, stihl has changed so much , I think it was 2002 , 2003 last time I was around any newer stihl and I believe br 420 was the biggest one or at least most common sold , big square thing nothing stream lined on it ,and standard 2 stroke . I think echo is the only commercial brand not using that 4mix type technology, of course they bought shindawia a few years ago for there their c4/ hybrid , " their version of 4mix" but last I saw about 2 years ago they are keeping shindawia name and offering it as separate brand . Sorry rambling, can you tell I have been immersed in small engine world to long. Lol. Seems like that about all I conversate about that maybe dirt bikes, but maybe you of all people can appreciate that, ha ha, I think I heard some crank bearing growl when you were Turing engine over , could be why some one dump oil in it, I have seen them run that way quite a while though . Crank bearings always seem to rust first , commercial users leave them in the back of a truck back pad down and rain goes right in muffler. At least that's what I have run into before , seems more common with trimmers but still..
Dunno if been mentioned. Pressure in tank been created by priming bulb. As that has only one way valve and fitted on return line. When inlet pipe been trapped no fuel went in, but by pressing priming bulb air got pushed in to tank, to get fuel out to intake line. As intake line is trapped, no fuel, but pressure in tank.
Some good news. Just today I edited the long overdue part 3 of this series. You're going to enjoy it. Should be uploading it soon. Got a couple videos on other stuff ahead of it.
Hi, the most common problem with no spark is the kill switch. The fan nut is incorporated in the fan, l mean it’s all one peace, and it’s a pain to get off.
Hey there, any tips or tricks for replacing the pvc elbow into the flexible blower tube? Mine cracked, got a replacement but now cannot seem to get it into the flexible tubing... thanks!
Not that i know of. If its an aftermarket part maybe the dimensions are off a little? You could try heating the parts a little with a hair drier to make them more pliable.
stupid question, did you check for spark and compression ???? i have had 2 of those 4 stroke stihl engines on weed trimmers and the only issue i had was fuel lines or carb. K.I.S.S. principle..... thanks for the laugh with the bad pick up lines, lol
@@rogeroconnor5182 did one in part 2. Funny thing is, cant find specs anywhere for compression test. Apparently it's not typically used as an indicator of wear on these.
roger oconnor that’s more of a performance spec I’ve seen these things at least pop off with as oof as 50 but I’m also a farmer fix it person so take what I say with a grain of salt.
