In West Texas we cut during spring and fall, with out the sap in the trees it will eat the chain, Misquite is hard wood type and very tuff Snakes are a very big concern here and common to shot 2/4 every year Thanks for the advice and information 😊 God Bless America, Ukraine and Israel ❤
hi there I liked and subscribe as well. I learned a few by watching your channel I don't know much about my Stihl 14" chainsaw. but it has the same problem. I replaced the chain as was cutting a palm tree I nipped a rock and so it caused my chain to slip. now I replaced my chain with a Ryobi 14" chain that I bought from homedepot but it's still loose even when I tightened it down.
Thank you for watching and supporting. There is a part number on the bar with size information. The ryobi chain may have too many links. What model is the stihl? MS170? MS210?
Got a MS251 Wood Boss tighten the chain properly it gets super tight within the first couple cuts not even 2in big tree limbs I can leave the chain a lil loose and it gets wayyyyyyy loose with jus a few cuts really irritating it’s got a brand new sprocket new needle bearing for the sprocket new chain tensioner new chain …it either gets super tight by itself or it gets very loose the bar is brand new also sprocket chain and bar all match any thoughts?
I bet either the chain is the wrong size or the sprockets ( nose or crank are wrong size. Try comparing the writing on the bar and the sprocket size stamping on the sprocket to the chain number.
@@RayofallTrades Appreciate it man yea the shop I bring it too gave me the wrong chain and the bar only has a part number stamped on it the only time I bring a saw to a shop n got it back in worse shape than wat I gave it to them imma jus stick to fixing my chain saws my self got 2 husqvarna 55 ranchers that Iv completely gone over both of them got a husqvarna 450 rancher i did a complete rebuild on and a sthil ms291 I jus rebuilt the carburetor on but I can’t even get the right parts from a saw shop when they had the saw bar n all n still got it wrong😂
@@RayofallTrades it matches but the chain gets stuck in that sproket only 1 part , i am runing with thinn oil .. maybe thats the problem ,and i have another problem ,the idle screw doesn't do anything with new stihll carb
If the idle screw is moving the throttle plate, then it's probably the mixture is off or vacuum leak. For the chain, see if the driver links are chewed up from the chain jumping. I have also seen bad nose sprockets on brand new bars
