Awesome video buddy, thanks for making it. I replaced my MS290 with the 400 and here is why. 290: 4.1HP, 13lbs, 56.5cc, 20” bar with .325 chain 400: 5.4hp, 12.8lbs, 66.8cc, 25” bar with 3/8 chain (same size chain as all my other big saws)

Great video, Brian! It is truly becoming one of my favorite go to chainsaws.. I love the weight and balance of it. I think it would be a viable candidate for a 1 saw plan.

Thoughts on the magnesium piston holding up as well as the typical aluminum ones?

Hi Onion River Ranch...remains to be seen, magnesium is highly flammable in certain applications. The ceramic coating helps with friction greatly. In low speed applications magnesium is much more durable than aluminum. The ceramic coating is durable as long as oil is present. The absence of oil and the ceramic coating with Ethanol in the mix with time and we will know. I suppose all I have given are variables. At this point it is industry leading....thank you for taking the time to watch and comment/question...

Hello Sir, I really like the fact that You are using proper tools. I also wonder how much lighter is that new dished piston for 562xp!? Which one do You prefer out of two of them?

Thank you very much. Also in the plans to do a side by side. Financially, the 562 is a better deal. It is a physically tougher saw and the parts are/were cheaper when they were availble. The 562 oils great from the factory with a long bar. The 400/362 platform does not oil in my environment/use and extensive experience. The 562 AV is also stronger in a long bar 25+ situation. I like them both and enjoy them both however. Thank you again for watching...

@@Szczyrczek Truly something to consider. The full-wrap handlebar is very expensive for the STIHL as well. The full wrap for the 562 is very affordable. Are you in Europe?

@Brian2bears yes I am in Europe and here the full wrap is 40 dollars more for husqvarna at least 562xp vs ms462. So would be cool if someone just could send me a ported cylinder, because anything else will be probably to expensive to bother. I mean I have done some work to my 501p but it's still waiting for final tests.

@matthew90DG Hi Matthew. The 362 and 400 are very similar. I own an early carburetor version of the 362 that is still running. My brother-in-law owns an auto-tune 362 that has + - 300 hours on it. The 362 is a durable saw as far as long-running goes. Thank you for watching and commenting....

Your might think your videos are a lil crude but I’ll give you this much crude or not there a hell of a lot more informative than 97% of the rest of the guys doing saw videos! Most are guys have no idea how to even tear a saw down that far and just ack like clowns!!
