About Josh Turner Guitar
Joshua Lee Turner is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and producer based in Brooklyn, New York. Josh is best known for his RU-vid channel Josh Turner Guitar, where he has been posting eclectic cover performances and original music since he started the channel in 2007 at age 15. Josh now tours internationally in support of his own original music, as well as with long-time collaborator Carson McKee, as the folk duo The Other Favorites. In 2020, Josh released Public Life, his second full-length album of original music.

One of my students asked me to teach him this song. My ego generally precludes my making any reference to online tutorials--if somebody played it, I can figure it out, is my attitude, and most of the time I can. This one stumped me, so I came crawling to you, and have to admit, you did a wonderful job of breaking it down into a single-guitar arrangement. Plus, you make that little Martin sound gigantic. My admiration exceeds my envy!

I had a solid crack at it with my little squeeky capo on the third fret here, but I gave up when Josh had to take another breath to finish saying what chord he was fingering.

I believe the one he has used for most of his career is broken, recently he has started using a second Zoom H2. I could be wrong, however i remember he spoke about it during on of his livestreams.

@@JoshTurnerGuitar I love my Zoom H1n and the pair of H2n's I now own! After years of trying and buying several other cameras/audio recorders, I find that the cheap Zooms out-perform all else for music making! Paired with Audacity and a video editor, with some small effort at a/v production, not much else is needed!

I love "Still Crazy ...," Josh! It has such a wonderfully recognizable melody. Play 3 notes of it and you instantly know what song it is. One of Simon's other songs, El Condor Pasa, has a similar recognizability. I remember sitting in a big fancy restaurant in downtown Lima, Peru, and hearing a little native band play El Condor Pasa. I looked at my lover sitting across from me, and said to him, "They're playing Simon and Garfunkel." My lover looked at me, smiled, and said, "That's a Peruvian folk song. It's 2,000 years old."

Can I just ask.... Who on EARTH is disliking this!?!?!?!?! The original performance of this in the hotel room in the UK was better than any performance I've seen of Paul Simon give of this fab tune... And then we've all been trying to learn it....and Josh very graciously comes on here and gives us his time to show us how he did it.... I just cannot fathom the mentality of some folks... There is evil in the world and it must be stopped!.... the two dislikes here are either 'old girlfriends', or the quintessential proof that some folks just can't be 'helped'. ;) Thankyou josh.... What an amazingly great performer you are!.

This video couldn't have come at a better time. I have just bought my dream guitar (Gibson Hummingbird) and I am now pushing myself to learn new things and improve my playing again! This is a song I've always wanted to learn ever since I saw the video of Simon performing an unfinished version on the Dick Cavett show on RU-vid.
