Near perfect weather, epic views of the majestic mountain and wicked fast, winding descents are all plentiful here on this this 79 mile road bike loop ride. Course map is linked below. Great ride. Should have stopped at a Burger joint in Packwood for some butter or lard - natural Chamois cream.

Yo kevin! I have some info for this course on my website here cyclistpete.com/routes/paradise-big-loop-road-ride/ I think I did this in September, but I would think the road up to Paradise and down the backside would be mostly clear from snow by now and ridable, as long as they haven't had new snow in the last few days. The road that cuts across on the southwest is a smaller road that I don't think gets snowplowed and is closed for cars in the winter. I would guess around mid April or May would be the earliest you could ride through that easily. For the grade, none of it is very steep. Most the incline is around 4-5% and maybe 8% maximum.

Hey Pete, what time of the year did you do that ride? I’m considering an 866 mile loop around the Cascades in late August. How are the temps and precipitation at the time? Thanks. Good videos!

Precipitation is very low, if any. Temps are warm, depends on the area, but you could expect around 70-85 highs. Glad you like the videos!
