Great review. I went to Bombtrack website. For the most part the only reason I found a bike manufacturer to NOT list a price is because they think the price is too high and will deter consumers to look more into it. That’s a red flag for me. I was interested, but that’s it for me.
Dude, you’re a beast! I attempted this loop on on my OBED Boundary yesterday and had to turn around due to 2ft of snow about halfway through the second climb. I have no idea how you did this on a hotter day with less water. I was loaded with a 4L pack and two bottles of Tailwind but still could’ve used more. This thing had some seriously steep sections that outpaced my 51t rear cog AND my legs. I was zigzagging and then doing the hike of shame in a few places but still managed 6500ft of elevation gain 😅 For those considering this route you’re gonna want some low gearing and plenty of water and fuel.
Cool video bro!!! Yep!! Best tyre.....I pretty much only use Mezcal on everything now. Anything from 29 x 2.6, 29 x 2.35 etc etc......Just look at what Lachlan Morton used on his record Tour divide ride.
It's a pity that I couldn't find the right size for my face! Oakley has only one version of glasses for narrow faces, flack 2.0 xl. the rest are all huge
Hello! I have (prizm Road Jade) for cycling, mtb and running in the forest. I want to take a second lens: prizm golf, Trail Torch or Prizm Road/lowe light? what do you recommend?
For anyone who is recently watching this video and is wondering which pair of road glasses to buy. I have just gone through this journey. I was lucky enough to go to a local store that had all three pairs in stock. I tried them back to back to back. Inside the store and outside in the sun. I ended up deciding to go with the road black pair. There is honestly minimal difference between the road and road black. The road black are still fine to use on an overcast day or earlier in the morning, but will also offer the best sun protection when it's a very bright day. So it's a win win for the road black.
Hey - did you ever measure the size of these tires on your rims? Was hoping with all this talk about fitting the tire in the frame we’d get an actual size…
Love these shades took me almost a months to find the perfect pair of running and outdoor shades but I will say Oakley really missed the mark with not providing a polarized daily lens for the EV advancer. All you really get that's polarized is the prism polarized black which is too dark of a lense.
These glasses seem perfect for me and my needs, but I have a question, does Oakley offer any solutions for people with myopia? any accessories? for this specific model
I just ordered prizm road black from options yesterday l pick up flak 2.0 in prizm normal one l told them order prizm road black which they did l know hoping they come in Oakley radar EV style but not sure if they will
How do you re-order course points? For example, in case you need to add an additional midpoint. Instead of putting this point all the way to the end of the route, I want to see a list of the points that I have created so that I can easily move them around. I am having difficulty finding the list of route points that I have created on the web browser. Thanks.
I am building a bikepacking bike on a budget. I will not buy an old 26 MTB. The tire are simply too small for my liking. So I gone with a hybrid steel road bike. Look like I can fit same setup as you. I'm very curious, for me it's still a small tire for massive weight.. but we see 😉thanks for the video, it gave me a hint
Hello i have the same bike too! But he has stock complete. I wont to instal 29 wheels 2.0 I have 2 questions 1. What are the gaps on the 50 mm wheels in front and behind? 2. What kind of vilset do you have in 700c?
It’s good to be back! Yeah it was a pretty cool one. Just be sure to have big tires. Or, an XC mountain bike would probably be best. Btw, this ride was 2 years ago 😬 I had started editing it back then but never finished it till now 😂 also, I linked the Garmin course in the description if that helps 🤙🏼
Awesome video again, Pete. Thanks very much for posting it. I did a mixed paved/gravel ride down near Mt. Adams recently. The view from Takhlakh Lake Campground is incredibly beautiful. I'd intended it to be a loop ride, but was short on time and did an out and back. Can't wait to get back and close the loop. Very much recommend that area.
Hey Eric, Glad you enjoyed the video! That sounds awesome. I haven't ridden around there before, but I'll add it to my short list. Thanks for the good recommendation!
Ayyy! You already know we got the legendary, DJ Pizza mixin' up that extra spicy, extra hot out the brick-oven 12" pepperoni baby! 😂 But no those are not my tracks, I just DJed. I linked the tunes in the description of the video, all really cool artists 🤙
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed it! I'd recommend big tires for this one. It gets really rough in parts. I had 48mm and it still was pretty harsh. In hindsight, I could have lowered my tire pressure more than I had, which would have helped. I think I had it a little too high the whole time.
Comfort over speed and still burning calories. We get so caught up in speed and aero dynamics which kind of takes the fun out of riding. Thanks for the video look like u having a blast out there
Glad you are inspired! For potentially dangerous wildlife around where I ride, there are black bears and cougars. Black bears will usually go the other direction and wont attack people unless directly threatened. There have been some cougar attacks in the past but they are extremely rare.
That's a good ride. Can't wait to get back on the bike... Knee replacement was no joke. Great to see some PNW gravel... I'm itching to ride the backyard mountain (Cultus Mountain) soon. You'll probably know the area. Keep the videos coming Cyclist Pete.
Yo Gary! Dang, sorry about the knee replacement. I hope you can get back on the bike very soon! I haven't ridden that specific area. I'll have to check it out, it looks pretty nice. And I am glad you enjoyed the video, more will be coming soon!
The return of Cyclist Pete!!! Awesome video of a rough, tough ride. Thanks for the content. Wow, never seen so much paintbrush and never growing actually on a road.
I'm back baby! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, that definitely was a rough and tough one. But there were a few really cool sections along the way. I love those partially overgrown roads with trees and brushes growing into the road, super cool to ride though
Not these ones unfortunately. But I think Colville National Forest would have some good gravel roads, and would be really close to you in Spokane. I have another video about creating routes on Garmin Connect if you want to create your own route. Creating routes is pretty easy and really fun 🤙🏼
